One universal pitch speed would be nice. I don’t care how fast it is. Different pci size would go with different difficulty levels.

18 was the worst ever for online play, it is known khalessi. 19 and 20 were better but many players feel the games are “scripted” with comeback logic. This has been denied by the devs yet brand new players come on here saying the same thing about a scripted feeling that people said in 2019.
Whether it’s scripted or not, this game plays pretty much like 20, except with more precise pitch control and enormous pci coverage.

It’s really annoying when you’re in a pitchers duel and put a good timed swing with the ball in the pci but not dead center and its the same result as a early/late swing with the ball out of the PCI.
I’ve been really disappointed so far with cliff lee. I’ve had no problem hitting him when I’ve played against him and hit hard when pitching him. But I agree with you the inconsistent PCI results is very frustrating - especially on HOF/Legend

It’s an addicting game for sure but it’s a baddddd baseball game. They just kinda gave up trying to make it a realistic baseball simulation.

I do agree that Contact Swing is a joke, ive resorted to using it myself just to compete.
Yeah between pin point being way too OP and contact swing ruining hitting and pitching at the same time this [censored] game is a joke right now.
Genuine question here: how do you really know if they’re using it? Is it from gauging the PCI size from the feedback?

I’ve had the most success against Lee and Burnes honestly usually put up 3-4 runs on both of them but just was naming some of the dominate guys. I guess Grochett, Valenzuela, Tanana would be the other guys. I think they need to really rework hitting next year. Tell us exactly how the PCI works and make it consistent. Consistency is all I ask for getting good swing timing with a ball well located in the PCI and having it be hit the same as it does sometimes when the ball isn’t even in the PCI is exhausting. Especially on higher difficulties sucks when you don’t get rewarded when these games are already low scoring for the most part. I hit a high sinker down the middle yesterday with Just early timing and dead center of my PCI and somehow pulled the ball foul down the line should have been a 2 RBI basehit it doesn’t make since how it went foul.

get your [censored] together SDSHonestly though man if you can get into the World Series level and adjust to the pitch speeds it is actually really enjoyable. It is really a chess match and you can feel if a pitcher is cruising and when the wheels fall off for them.
It is definitely not easy though and the game is absolute poo on the lower difficulties.

I found online play to be really enjoyable early on when teams were full of 85-90 players and not all 90+. To me the game just doesn't play as well when both teams are god squads. I played an RS game last night that was excruciating, then jumped into the LS event which was much more fun and balanced.

I'd say that is pretty [censored] accurate! Not sure if you know how averages work but to have an average of 96.7 he most likely touches 98 from time to time.

I think we can all agree that there needs to be a closer consensus on this game. I think with this iteration of the game, SDS Further separated the middle ground. I think there are way more people who either love the game or hate the game this year than ever have been. There are no clear ways to absolutely fix everything, so I’m not sure how we get back to more of a median that this is a great game with a few flaws that we can all live with.

A couple of years ago there was no perfect/perfect. Just good/good that you would get pop ups and no home runs on. So SDS introduced perfect/perfect as well as good/good. This is correct. SDS has posted that p/p can result in outs and there is a percentage breakdown. People can watch this posted by SDS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RWYlZKJVUc&t=991s . Go to 16:36. Perfect/Perfect result in a .860 batting average, which means 14% will be outs. So theoretically you could have a game where your perfect/perfect are 50% outs on 8 perfect/perfect and the next two games perfect/perfect results in 0% outs. Of course everyone will remember how half of their perfect/perfects are outs.
I don't think the game has perfect mechanics and sometimes the PCI feedback confuses me.

I watched Ichiro for many years and him taking bp. He doesn't hit 450 ft. bombs slapping the ball. His swing is different when he pulls the ball.

If there is one thing I know for sure, it's that next year at this time The Show 22 will be the worst version of the game. And then 23. And then 24. Some people are just never happy and every single year there are people on here bitching about how "broken" the game is. The game is fine. Enjoy it instead of looking for things to get mad about.
