Thanks, guys! Will pass this on to the team.
Best thing to do in these situations is report in-game where you can.
@xXOctoberNyyXx_XBL -- thanks, I'll bring this info to the team as well.
As you may have noticed, the API issue should be fixed, now but if you all notice lingering issues, let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks, @xxoctobernyyxx_xbl -- I'll make the team aware.
Thanks for sharing your experience here. The team is looking into the server issues.
Just popping in to let you all know that the team is tracking this.
Thanks for flagging, guys. The team is investigating.
I'll add it to the list -- thanks!
@DTC1313_PSN -- thanks for checking in on this. I passed this on to the team for you, but it's not up to me how it gets prioritized, unfortunately. If I get any updates I can share here, I will.
Thanks!
@Dolenz_PSN -- I was told this was fixed, but apparently that's not the case?
Thanks for flagging, guys. Will share with the team so they can investigate.
Shortly before launch it was communicated on stream that we would be removing PCI shrinkage on pitches down and away. We wanted to take the time to provide some clarity regarding that change.
For balancing purposes, the game inherently applies bonuses and penalties based on pitch type and location. For example, if a pitcher hangs a curveball, your PCI grows because in real world baseball, that is a mistake and hitters will generally punish those pitches. Similarly, if a pitcher dots a slider down and away, that pitch inherently is more difficult to hit, hence, the slight reduction in your PCI size.
Before the change, the user was penalized for both A) breaking balls moving away from the batter, and B) the pitch being located down in the strike zone. After the change, the user is only getting one of those penalties, not both. Also understand that your swing timing plays a huge role in your PCI size.
The shrinkage also helps with the high number of foul balls that users have seen in the past. PCI shrinkage and PCI enlargement remain in the game as a mechanism to maintain balance between the pitcher and the batter.
We hope this helps clarify the change and reasons behind it. As always, we appreciate your feedback.
I can pass it on for sure
Heh -- wrong thread for that one apparently
I'm being told that the marketplace should be working as normal on the app now. If you're still experiencing issues, let me know.
Thanks!
OK, good to know. I'll follow up with the team on this. Thank you all!
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN -- Absolutely will! Thanks for flagging this, guys!
Thanks, @Sarge1387_PSN -- I'll share this with the team.
Hah -- I haven't seen that personally. Very cool. I sent it to her to see if she's aware of it. Thanks for sharing, @mariomendoza935_xbl !
I can pass this on for sure. Thanks @dolenz_psn !
Editing to see if you guys can give me some examples of specific cards that you've seen this happen on. Thanks!
See my response to your post in the other thread, but wanted to post here as well to let you know that I'm DMing you for more details on this.
@TheJeweledLotus_PSN -- without getting too deep into it, suffice it to say that this is a complex issue for many reasons and there aren't really any "easy fixes".
That said, yes, I agree with you. The brazenness can be pretty shocking.
@Onix_Savage22_PSN -- No worries! Just don't want to make it any easier on this people than need be!
@mhenry23_PSN -- For the team's part, there is a lot of work behind the scenes to improve the situation, so please don't mistake judicious communication with inaction.
For the community's part, talking about specific methods of how these things work only serves to make the problem worse. There's no upside. That's why the forum rules say members may not "Discuss specific cheating methods in detail." Those who do may be subject to suspension.
