RE: Pour one out for the four-legged homies

I need both my hitting coach and pitching coach with me whenever I play. Goodest coaches. Sorry for your loss my friend, He's still watching you play. Just on a different couch.

@knoxwurst31_psn said in Gold Glove defense by computer:

Let me start off by saying I never complain about anything on this forum. I really don't have a problem with much in the game and mostly play offline modes, it is more enjoyable for me. But that being said, has anyone else noticed how amazing the AI defense is for the computer?! It honestly laughable. They get to anything. I've been robbed of leaps at the wall many times, full out diving catches of outfielders diving backwards towards the wall etc. But the BIGGEST one is they will gun me out on a laser dot EVERY time lol. Just last night some I had a runner on 3rd with one out and hit one literally all the way the wall. They caught it, sac fly RBI right? Wrong. lol. Random OF throws an absolute perfect laser to home plate and I am thrown tagged out on a perfect play. I mean c'mon. Anyways, that is my small gripe/rant. Carry on.

My biggest gripe is how unbalanced it can be. When YOU have the player...they have 38 speed...they play true to the rating. When you're batting against them, they're all the mutant love child of Usain Bolt and Ricky Henderson roaming the outfield.

RE: This game is a scam

While OP is right about odds and probability, I wonder how many diamond equipment/sponsorships/unlockables did you pull from your packs as a whole? I'm almost positive The odds everybody gets stuck on is pulling a diamond player...when in reality SDS takes into account the various unlockables and includes them in the calculations. Just my two cents

RE: How/WHY did they leave out...?

So this is from my Topic I created:

So first of all let me say I do enjoy this, it's actually really cool to mess around with the creation suite and make your own ballpark, whether it be outlandish, traditional, or modern, or futuristic. But there's definitely some shortcomings/things to improve upon.

1)- The foul territory- Why can't we adjust the foul territory/fences? What if I want to create a tight squeeze at the line like Wrigley? Or the gradual angle in like Kauffman? We should be able to adjust the fences there...you already eliminate it's ability to be used in competitive modes if we mess with the outfield templates....so at that point what does it matter? This request is actually tied to my next thing...

Stand pieces- Can you please make sure that your home plate block actually fits the diameter or the corner it's trying to make? This causes so many headaches then trying to create an actual bowl that is straight and not angled...This is where manipulating the foul fences would come into play
3)- Batter's Eye- We should be able to manipulate this more than we currently can. Currently we can't attach it to the wall, when there are several parks that feature the batter's eye as part of the wall et al. Additionally...being able to snap items to the sides of the batter's eye would be awesome and a way to create a more flawless/streamlined look.

Seating templates- Sounds like these were removed from the feature from last year to this year...now only having the ps4 version last year I can't speak to it, however it sounds like this is something that made creation way better...I'm sure this is something that could be patched in given a couple months to have it done?

Bodies of Water- This would be something cool we could either add to the background(A river, for example to make use of the bridge features), or create an actual in stadium feature

6)- Bullpens- Please let us move these. They're just an eyesore in foul ground.

    What about you guys?

SDS has gutted core single player modes and gone all in on DD. It's sad, but no developers this side of Elden Ring have resisted the pull of "live service" and "persistent monetization."

Shame on SDS, and shame on all the other companies doing the same.

Just look at how badly they nerfed the market this year. It's still possible to make stubs without buying...but it's a TON harder. The new QS values and market bots basically ensured that you can't make good stub profits unless you pour money into the game first.

From what I understand, though, it's still light years more player-friendly than Madden or FIFA or 2K. Don't play those UT modes, so don't know for sure.

As an avid NHL player as well, I wouldn't say it's lightyears ahead of EA, it's probably a few miles but the gap is closing rapidly with how SDS is trending

Someone explain why when I have a man on 2nd and I hit a liner into the outfield, the ball lands down the line, my runner ALWAYS slides into 3rd base even after I select him and send him home before he's even half way to 3rd base? This game is rotten trash...

What about when you have a runner on 2nd. You hit a gapper. He runs back to 2nd base....

The sheer volume of times this has happened to me in moments where I have to get X amount of extra base hits...like I hit it 410 feet into the Fenway triangle, runner from first hits second and turns into Snoop going "hold up". They havent even picked up the ball yet. I can literally feel my blood pressure rise

The CPU infield is made up of all star super humans. I have 115 speed in rtts and I hit into 20 plus double plays per year. I get hitting the ball hard at them but when the third baseman back hands one behind the bag and throws a missile to second and the second baseman launches a throw that has flames coming off of it to get me by two steps…they might have tuned it up quite a bit. I get making amazing plays…but every game is getting old. Also…how many 98 mph fastballs up and away get popped up to the first baseman or catcher where they don’t have to move at all…

This always irked me in RTTS, they NEVER miss a throw even when throwing while falling away yelling "Kobe!" with the throw speed of a howitzer

@yankblan_psn said in CPU Pitches Differently To Cards Tied To PxP Missions!!!!!:

The only theory that makes sense to me right now, is if the CPU has a slider as a 1 or 2 pitch, it’ll throw you 3-4 an inning right down the pipe.

Noticed this playing MS. Went in Conquest; same. Any other pitch is random from game to game and P to P; but count on the hanging slider.

What I notice is that if I am crushing 4 seam fastballs the cpu will start throwing me everything but, even if 4 seam is #1 pitch, but that is just smart.

As far as the OP, I don't see it, I'd say it's that you are putting too much pressure on having success with those guys, just try to ignore that you have missions tied to them.

Sounds like OP gets overzealous with those PxP cards and swings at everything trying to get hits...and AI recognizes this and refuses to throw certain players good pitches knowing you will swing at anything.

    New Props are great start

So the new props are pretty cool, and I'm so glad they added some new buildings, the berms are awesome to work with, and the bodies of water are awesome too. That being said, I'm kinda hoping they add the following:

1- More batter's eye options, or lose them altogether and allow us to make our own. Pretty sure 99.9% of us wouldn't make stupid coloured batter's eye.
1B) Allow us to snap seats to the batter's eye to create that smooth look.

2- More seating options. By that I mean add the angled seats for corners(think old Miami style), very few stadiums have the rounded corners anymore.

3- The ability to adjust the size of foul territory/angles of fences. Right now we're stuck with the super bland jewel box design...nothing that makes it feel unique...which leads me into my ext request:

4- PLEASE SDS, let us move the bullpens. It doesnt even need to be "custom" per se, something like this even if it's for next year:
    Outfield Dimension Style: Toronto
    Foul Territory Style: Kansas City
    Bullpen Placement: Statesman Park
    Seating Style Lower: Toronto
    Seating Style Suite: Chicago AL
    Seating Style Upper: Old Miami.

Then from there we can place and fine tune the seating locations to our own specifications.

    What do you guys think?

RE: Why can't they fix hitting

Now I'm gonna go on a limb and say it: I think hitting is perfectly fine, however it is pretty different and feels nerfed compared to last year and years prior. Lots of good contact dying on the track. Which I am cool with, not every solid contact is a hit. But it's definitely harder to turn around a fastball, but I dont have a problem with it per se

Reynolds, Gray and Schwarber just went up to 70k stubs. They were like 30k but someone is buying g a bunch to try and manipulate the market prices which apparently gets people banned

Only gets people banned when they're using SDS' own logic against them. SDS manipulates the market to kill stub profits and try to $#!+can people into buying stubs instead

95 percent of the moments are on rookie or veteran…come on man. Some def take longer than others but completing a moment is one of the easiest things to do in this game

It doesn't get any easier than rookie moments.

Veteran is an extreme amount easier than Rookie imo. On rookie the pitch speeds are too slow and the PCI is too big

This, I prefer Vet because the pitching is more realistic, it follows more baseball like patterns(all pitches into your cold zones et al), whereas rookie is all over the place.

Are you saying your players need padded walls?

On this note, I actually hate that there's no pads under the Ivy. It's just blatantly anti player for the sake of nostalgia.

As for the OP @vagimon_PSN SDS has a crippling disease where they can only make the initial implementation of something, and then never update or fix it(See: Uniforms, logos)

Ain't that the truth, I just commented elsewhere how much the creator needs tweaking. Actually seating templates based on field dimensions, different seating styles, control of the size of foul territory, control of where the Bullpens are, removing "dead zones"(like the batter's eye, why we can't attach and build off that is beyond me), or why we can't have "wall scoreboards", need more water features, more props(seriously, where's my Turner Field and Oracle Park coke bottle?)

    posted in Stadium Creator •
RE: Customization is dead, along with the game

Let's not pretend that stadium creator doesnt need a ton of fine tuning and upgrades. It's actually pretty trash, the seating prefabs dont match the field pre fabs, especially behind home plate, the "no go" zones especially around the batter's eye are WAY too big(there really shouldn't be any dead zones). You can't attach anything to the batter's eye at all which removes the seamless design, you can't adjust foul territory
