Weren't you the one who, last year, complained about the game all year long and swore that you were not buying the game this year?
I still can't believe they accumulated all of the data in beta and probably spent months tweaking hitting and coming up with Perfect/Perfect and then decided to throw out all that work and tweak hitting only a few days after release.
Before Launch: "We here at SDS worked hard all this offseason to come up with a new hitting dynamic. We even had a beta period to test it and receive feedback from players. We used that telemetry and feedback to make further tweaks in order to make things even better for our release"
2 days after official launch: "We are going to take a few days worth of telemetry, when everyone is playing on the easiest difficulties, mix that in with some player complaints and abandon all the telemetry we gathered and work we did prior to launch."
Here is where I stand as an offline player as of last night
I am sitting at 205 program points.
There are only a few options open to me to get the final 95 points. Showdown, which I have failed badly at in every attempt so far, and that costs 500 stubs each attempt. Collections, which also cost stubs, but in this case both collections together are more expensive than just buying the three bosses outright. Mindlessly grinding for another 30 hours or so in the last 9 days of the 1st Inning Program.
Basically the goal of 300 stars still seems so far away and the options to get there seem so unappealing (and just not fun) that it has killed a bit of my desire to keep playing.

There are better ways of dealing with other players frustrations than by simply throwing your successes in their face. That just makes the situation worse.

@D_e_m_I_s_E said in First year playing DD now I'm hooked....: You didn't luck into pulling those diamonds. It is a way to get first year players hooked. People that get a lot of diamond pulls tend to be: Streamers - So the players watching can see the packs are "lit" and go out and by themselves. Also gives the streamers the best chance of being successful. 1st time players - To get them hooked. If you have a decent record, let me know how this plays out the next few years. Bad players - To give them better players to try to help them out. Now, you could not be in any of these and get diamonds but I think it is really rare. These are all marketing ploys which are intended to increase sales. You are probably correct. My first thought was wow this is pretty cool. But now, just starting out and trying to advance through playing games having to play against teams that their lineups are entire diamond rated it kinda sucks. I will still continue to play, it just makes it less fun trying to do it the right way no money spent and having to face lineups like that.

Don't listen to him. He never has anything good to say about the game. He is in a abusive relationship with the game but he can't seem to walk away.
Enjoy your team and have fun with the game. That is what matters the most.
@D_e_m_I_s_E said in First RS game in a while. Every pitch down the middle. What a joke. Quit the game.:
I would rather watch paint dry.
And yet, you still play every day, start new complaint threads daily and have invested over 120 hours in something you have complained about daily for almost a month.
I can't imaging what mental state I would be in if I forced myself to spend an average of 4 1/2 hours a day doing something that I hated.
Yeah, I am not doing it for the Snell card as I won't do the collection. The idea of buying cards that I don't want or won't use in order to get a pitcher with a questionable BB/9 skill is not a wise investment of my stubs or time.
I saw the stream. I saw perk packs in the rewards listed and immediately thought that they were monetizing RTTS even further.
Perks are cards now. Perk cards have tiered rarities and appear to be random in packs.
That means that if you want your player to be very good then you will need to not only go find diamond equipment on the marketplace but you will now need to find diamond perks on the market. And just like equipment the diamond perks are needed in RTTS and DD so the best ones will be expensive.
I have a feeling that this could mean we won't seen the return of Year to Year saves in RTTS in future versions.
So I have been slowly picking up Cardinal players but out of the more expensive ones I had only picked up Flaherty and Goldschmidt, passing on Miller because over 3,000 stubs for a low gold reliever, even a lefty seemed a bit too much.
Today, I earned my first pack for 9 logins (thanks double dailies) and low and behold the last card is a gold card. I flip that sucker and sure enough, it is Miller! Score.
I slot him in to my lineup and go play a stronghold game in conquest against the White Sox on veteren difficulty, beating them 7-0. I get to the post screen reward and I am shocked to see a diamond card listed there. It is only the second time in my years of playing that I remember seeing that. I decide to remove the cards one at a time to see how long the game was going to tease me but when I get down to 2 cards the diamond is still there. I remove the last card and I am shocked that I earned the diamond.
Welcome to the team Ronald Acuna Jr
I expect my luck is done for the year.
Doesn't help that there appears to be some bugs still associated with it too.
Someone has trouble with showdown. People reply that it's easy.
It's almost like there are different levels of skills among The Show players. Imagine that.
It's gotta be a bug.
There is no way that would put that option to select the loadout on the pre-game screen and then disable it.
Icon is done on the My Ballplayer screen somewhere. I forget exactly.
I still have not found where to change the banner.
@yankeefan412_xbl said in So XBoxers, what's your impression?:
Once I turned off cross play it was great. I know not all PS players are this way but every single one I got matched up with bunt danced, bunted, held R2 & ran clock. Whereas all the xbox players so far have played a normal straight up game of baseball.
The xbox players have just not learned the tricks the trolls use yet. It will come.
I never, ever leave a stronghold without at least one layer of defenders surrounding it.
But yes, the attacking team seems to be at a disadvantage, and from what I have seen the same holds true for the CPU.
One trick - Reinforce one square. Skip the other rounds, reinforce that square again to double your numbers. It is also useful for when you want to lower the difficulty against a stronghold.
Every year, shoot, every week someone gets lucky with packs and posts that this pack or that pack is "juiced".
I just started today and had the same issue. Luckily I chose not to be a two way player so I only ever pitched 1 game. The only way to change it is to go back to the my ballplayer screen and set the other loadout as active. Problem is I am not sure there is a way to back out once you get to that screen.
I'm an old fart. I turned it off about 30-60 minutes after I started.

For your first point, those moments are listed under the 42 moments. Why it doesn't say 1st inning for clarity idk
Thanks. It is a little to late for me as I finished them but hopefully that helps others.
