The guy is a piece of trash and has no remorse for what he did so it’s just a matter of time before he gets in trouble again. Any team would be stupid to give him any sort of multi year deal.
I am an Astros fan, who Trevor has talked a lot [censored] about, so I have never been a big fan of his. However, what does he need to be remorseful for?
He has videos and texts of this lady consenting to and wanting this. If he truly had something to be remorseful for, he would have been charged with a crime.
Just because someone accuses you of something, doesn't make it so.
He's awesome on the ball field, and does a great job with his YouTube channel. Also as an Astros fan and thought it was hilarious to listen to all the kind things he had to say about his buddy Garret Cole, never gets old hearing him rip into Bregman. Let's be honest the guy is entertaining like him or not. I personally believe him when he talks about various players and cheating. I love baseball, at the end of the day though it's entertainment. Baseball is better with him on the field. He is a smart guy when it comes to pitching, his YouTube videos are really entertaining and informative, his ability to present his approach, execution of various pitches, and explain the WHY things work in simple terms that make since especially to the younger guys watching is great.
Need that 6' 7" slider throwing lefty from Florida to get his 99 flashback card. Don't get me wrong I love his 67 bronze, and have had his 91 Yankees breakout card since week 1. But it's just not Miller Time until his Indians card drops and you get the scruffy bearded long haired GiraffeSloth on the mound slinging sliders that look like the garbage being blown in every direction at 100 mph during those little rain storms that hit Florida every so often. I'm pretty sure he is now retired and just opened a mobile home, and used trailer dealership in DeLand which means it will be a while before I get to have outings that consist of 27 consecutive sliders that regardless of how bad an opponent knows they shouldn't swing, it's impossible to take because of the frustration and anger that builds after each terrible looking swing and miss.
Let's Go Sds! It's Miller Time!!!!!
Great idea, I personally turn SZ off anyway because it distracts me from focusing my eyes on where I believe it's release point will be until the opposing pitcher starts his delivery. Probably just me but having a longer time allows me to relax and my eyes to filter out some of the distractions in the back ground. I had always turned Hot Zones off due to distraction while hitting but since turning SZ off I now use them as a general guide to the zone
@pfcorporate_psn said in Lost ability to hit and need help:
One other option is to turn the pci off. Sounds crazy but sometimes when I slump it’s because my eyes are getting distracted by the pci and I don’t focus on the ball. There are some pitchers on legend where I will turn it off no matter how I’m playing so I can really focus in on release.
Like in real ball, many times people hit a rough patch and start trying to reinvent there swing, typically leading to more frustration. So many times if you just recommit to core fundamentals it doesn't take long before you find what's causing the issue. Gotta see the ball, and have good timing to hit. This is great advice and has worked for me before. Henry Dorfmans who was hired by the A's to be there mental coach talked extensively about getting back to basics. He was the first team psychologist when he was brought on by the A's. Now all teams have one. He was a fascinating guy and anyone who enjoys the mental side of baseball should check him out. I enjoyed the stories about his interaction with players in a book I read a while back, The Mental Approach To Hitting.
Once the pci is removed all that is left is to find the pitchers release point, you will naturally move the joystick to the ball and have your hitting back in no time.

Little man, big power.
He doesnt even use the Crawford boxes. Most his HR's are legit 400ft+. Dont know where it comes from. He could probably take Alonzo in arm wrestling.
Well he uses a buzzer that tells him what pitch is coming. That makes a huge difference.
Haha I knew this comment was coming sooner or later.
Well that is the thing about reputations. Hard to build and easy to destroy.
What’s wrong with the rep in Houston? Just because a bunch of allstars left and the best they’ve brought in since a WS ring is Ryne Stanek doesn’t mean the entire league is laughing at them and choosing to play literally anywhere else besides Houston. Aledmys Diaz for example, HUGE resigning. Everybody was after the 3 million dollar man.
I've been a fan of Houston for many years. I guess 1986 was my first season I can really remember from start to finish. I turned 9 that summer. What a fun season season. Unfortunately little did I know I was about to endure many many years of not just the Astros but also the Oilers choking like they just hit a gravity bong lit a Marlboro Red. Also to whom

Try WiFi and then running some streams in the background which will clutter your bandwidth. You'll be surprised how much more favorable the timing windows will become. Lag compensation at its finest. You should Google that term if you're not familiar with it, lag compensation.
Interesting, you think it may have something to do with the occasional out of pain homerun?

Should be the collection reward for all the future stars cards. Because he totally would have gotten one had DD been around 30 years ago!
Thanks for that memory, amazing how time moves buy so quietly and quickly. That guy was definitely supposed to be the next best, greatest of all time. I hope everything worked out for him I know he was never able to achieve what was being predicted at the time I feel like he was plagued by injuries. But wow what a card that would have been. I can see it now 99 break, control, velo. 125 H per9, and 2 outliers on sinker and fastball. Followed by the greatest cutter, slurve, circle change. 2020 Kluber would be welcomed by everyone because Van Poppel would have broken the game.
You only get to call your 2 seam a sinker if you throw it and it has a significant amount of downward movement. Most people throwing a 2 seam get arm side movement with a little vertical drop but not enough to take the ball out of the batters swing path. If you can throw a 2 seam and get it to really drop vertically with some arm side action your on to something that will miss bats and get you weak contact ground balls. Not all 2 seams are built the same.

Great list, I loved Ron Gant that guy could crush. Also the other 2 nasty boys were awesome. That Reds bullpen was tough. I think Mitch Williams, Dave Righetti would be solid additions as well. 3 hitters I keep really hoping show up are Lance Berkman, Ken Caminiti, and Micky Tettelton. Make it 4 actually Gant's teammate Terry Pendleton would also be a fun card
@tonythetiger2k16 said in Reaching Phase 1 Parallel is probally best way to evaluate.:
With Hitters. Just on the 10 points you get for each AB, It will take 50 AB's just to get to 500 PxP if you did not earn any other points from a BB, H, D, T, HR, RBI, RS or SB.
Therefore I ALWAYS look at how many AB's it took that card to reach 500 PxP to be a Phase 1. This lets me see easily who is producing very well or so-so or horrible for me. Any card that gets 500 PxP before getting to 25 AB's will show he is producing great for me. His swing caters to my personal play style & my swing timing. Any getting to 500 PxP within 25 to 35 AB's will show this card preforms for me so-so. Not bad, but not great either. If it takes him more 35 AB's & getting as close to the complete 50's AB's, Then this card is trash for me. It did hardly anything or close to nothing at all.
Using 2 MA cards as examples. It took me only 19 AB's to get Owen Miller to Phase 1. But it took me 44 AB's to get Taylor Ward to Phase 1. I just finished getting Dawson & Riizo at the same time 3 days ago. So far Rizzo is at 231 PxP & Dawson is at 243 PxP so far. The both each have 21 AB's & at this pace, it so far looks like it will take them 40 to 45 AB's to reach Phase 1 if neither of them 2 gets hot all of a sudden. This is very disapointing because looking at thier attribute & overall card rank. I was expecting for them to play better for me then what they been showing so far.
This is why I am very hesitant & cautious to buy cards off the market that sell for 150K & up. Eventually down the road I will buy them all for sake of collections. But I do NOT rush to buy them with intentions of using them & taking that gamble if they will play good for me or play badly for me.
Who else uses this method to evaluate a new card or will look it to trying it?
Going forward this is the plan. Thanks for sharing
This is my favorite topic of discussion every year. People come on here pissed off after they blow a pile of stubs, accuse SDS of deceiving them with false numbers concerning pack odds. Now I'm not positive but I would assume that if they truly were giving false numbers on odds they would be putting themselves in a very bad situation that would probably lead to huge financial losses and legal issues if it were to ever be proven true. I honestly haven't really checked the odds on packs. I know on all the special packs it typically gives odds for the rare and base cards but again I pay it no attention. I imagine over the entire lifecycle of the game it works out and ends up being the number listed. What happens in between is completely random and nothing more than luck or bad luck depending on how your packs look after opening them. Nobody is required to go to Casino's it is 100% up to the consumer to choose if that is something they would like to do. Some people like myself enjoy the atmosphere and go in with a mindset that is positive hoping for some good fortune but aware more times than not the house will end up winning in the end. I dont look at it like I lost money it's the cost to enjoy the excitement when you do win. The group of players that say never buy packs it's not smart etc. etc. they understand what I understand and unlike me they don't enjoy the thrill of winning enough to justify the potential losses and spend elsewhere. I dont see a problem with that except when they try and convince anyone who believes differently that they are stupid for gambling or buying packs. Lastly there are the people who don't really get it. Who don't gamble for fun or the thrill in this case buy packs for fun. This group usually knows better but just aren't disciplined enough to stay away. This group convinces itself to gamble money or stubs they really dont have to lose in order to take a short cut and avoid the work or grind. Packs are fun if you let them be. Gambling is also fun unless you forget it's not predictable and based on luck

I don't know that 93 overall starter on the mets seemingly doesn't pitch too often...anyone remember the days where if you were on the 60 day IL you would be placed into free agency and you wouldn't have to face them.
This is a good point. The best ability is availability.

Not gonna happen most likely but an Extreme program would be awesome right now. I dont care who the reward cards ended up being it would be fun and challenging. I kinda understand SDS decision to hold off since it may have made it really hard for many new players to get the cards. By now though I think considering the people playing are diehard players regardless of skill level and would enjoy the challenge. SDS could give 3 pick anyone packs excluding collection rewards and that would be a solid reward.
They're in full '22' mode right now. So nothing new will be coming unless it was already planned ahead of time.
Events, Showdowns, RS, etc are planned ahead of time.
I wouldn't even be surprised that we won't even know what the Event criteria and rewards are until it is live.
I'm aware of that. I guess what I should have said was with the addition of Xbox that brought many newer players along with the large number of cards that were unattainable towards the end of last years game. Not having Extreme made sense this year. As a player program It is a tough program by design that many new players wouldn't have completed denying them opportunities to obtain whoever may have been made rewards. I feel like it's a popular program and SDS could have worked it up and released it after all cards were out. Not only would many of us enjoyed and appreciated it but as good a job as SDS did making players accessible there is still a card out there now who many will not get. I know people all had a chance to earn the card while the event was live. This any card pack reward would ensure a 100% completion to the goal of getting all cards out into circulation with no Million stub wait list also even if you already have all the cards it would be content that would last a while to play if your not wanting online. I started playing in 19 and wasnt able to get the final portion done that had Goose as the final reward but enjoyed and got better doing the extreme program. I love that cards are attainable without dropping cash but I do think things were handed out this year a bit to freely. I remember struggling initially with many parts of the game and had to work hard to get players, and unfortunately I wasn't able to get some. That was ok though it was motivation to get better. I have gotten better and the Extreme program was a big part of it so I was disappointed not to see it this year.

Hard to say for sure. Last year the forever event started at the beginning of march, but previous years started before that. Last years forever event didn't have any cards, while 17-19 did(I think 19 did not sure on that one)
I think 19 was Andrew Jones at 100 wins.
Migos or Crystal Method.
No No No your all wrong, Kirby Puckett will be the final reward for this years Extreme program.

I have a rotation of Degrom, Ohtani, Verlander, Burnes and Ryan. Verlander has been getting hit around lately. Degrom is like all or nothing. I think he had a 14k game, allowed 3 hits but they were all homers. I kind of like Burnes, Ohtani has been a surprise for me. Anyone else I should be using? I figured Maddux and Orel would be great if I make it to the 700 level. But I stink so I hover around 500.
Get Hunter Greene

Says the guy who's batting. 252 with a 44-29 record.
I tanked 25 wins to get Trout. I was 14-2 before trying. this game is so bad online and records don't mean anything.
Sure you were. 14-2 where the first 14 games were on Veteran and the 2 losses came once you hit All-Star difficulty. But hey I'm sure you weren't even trying, right?
