People will only oppose because they prefer what they're used to, they're afraid to try new things. Imagine a top 20 player opposing the idea of universal pitch speeds of All-Star as we know it now, but this player only takes into account the speeds with the giant PCI as we know it now. There's no way for anyone to accurately assess the speeds when the new PCI size and area of solid contact is implemented. That's when stick skills will really start to matter. Also, imagine how more dominant pitchers like Maddux will be. The pitch speeds won't be as fast, but on HOF and Legend your margin of error with the PCI will be so tiny, it will be a tremendous challenge. I believe THAT should be the challenge in this game, not the ability to swing asap gambling fastball and pull a homer on a non-PCI early swing. As a general rule, it's impossible to please everybody, no matter what that thing is. That is of course does not mean nothing should ever be done, but there isn't a "perfect' speed. Well I agree there is no such thing as perfection, but I'm not arguing for perfection. I'm arguing for change.

I think a lot of people that play this game don’t watch baseball in irl
Most Xbox people I’ve played are absolute trash lol-
And most content creators I watch that play this game play on PS5 and they are cracked
Bottom line is if you can play this game well you will play good on a PS5 or an Xbox
If you’re trash on PS5/PS4- buying a xbox, the most expensive monitor and the best glasses in the world is not going to miraculously make you Weens and you will ultimately probably still be bad but also out of an extra $1500
If you’re good on ps5 and you want to tweak or get a little advantage then by all means buy an xbox

Not here to argue about which one is better or has better hardware- I’ve just always been a PS guy so I got a ps5
The important point that you have brought up, whether correct or incorrect, is that you’re saying 120HZ is not available online for Xbox in this game.
There are tons of people that are saying it is and they have been jumping out of windows a la Great Depression and buying Xbox’s at alarming rates to get an advantage at the plate in mlb the show lol…
All I’m saying is it should be clarified what is actually going on so people are clear on what they want to do next.
I’m not buying an Xbox but I’m speaking for others that have already stated they are or have already made the purchase
And plus a lot of ppl are saying Xbox ppl have an advantage online bc of the 120hz- again not from my experience bc most of the good ppl I play are in PS5 but idk
So long post short- it’s just very confusing to see these conflicting statements from diff ppl and SDS should make a statement

I tried to play to it out but this game is awful. I’m constantly getting more good/good swings than my opponents 9 out of every 10 games. Yet it will be a competitive game because as soon as their first good swing connects it’s gone after many early and late jam hits. Fielding especially the infield is atrocious with the dives and fielders that are stone statues on certain plays. Honestly tried taking a break because you have to play in small doses. Their ineptitude to even just touch the game shows they given up on it. Hell even when pitching they screw you half the time with calls on the black. Call me a baby, call me whatever you want. This game is just isn’t good. Remember when they said “stick skills reigned supreme” comical.
I’m doing a clinical study- need to know your RS record for data- what’s your record?
You start out on veteran not all-star in ranked
My only complaint about RS is the speed- when I say speed I mean when I take custom BP I hit on legend and I usually tee off against deGrom or Randy- and on legend the play/pitch speeds seem normal and again this is on legend
Now when I go into a ranked game and play on HOF- the pitches seem 100x faster than they were on legend custom BP
It’s like the timing windows are really horrible when playing h2h online idk

Buy Delgado Earn Maddux
Get best of both worlds
Well I’m a 700-800 player( this is my second year owning the game)
Precocious season I needed at 763, this season my current rating is 720. Im not saying I won’t make World Series I’m just not sure
But one thing I know is I’ll never make 300 inning lol. I think last season I had about 100 innings- so I know the rate I play 300 innings in one season is out the question
I am at 166 inning and that's taken about 4 days I shoot for 25 innings a day or more I should be at 300 by mid next week just need to commit and grind mission that way and not worry about wins and loses
Yes you’re right and I am playing a lot more ranked this current season so far than I did last- I’m going to take Delgado and just grind ranked

I had the same decision to make and went with Maddux. Small sample size but I have gotten shelled with him in H2H and he isn't even that great in offline grinding...he gets lit up for me in All Star solos.
Yea the more I think about it the more I’m now leaning toward Delgado
And I just checked the app and they are both around the same price give or take 10k stubs- I would just hate to spend all those stubs on a pitcher that I wouldn’t use
I know I’m going to get some use out of Delgado and like @CDNmoneymaker93 said, can always grind it out for Maddux if need be

I dunno, I didn't have a ton of success pitching with Maddux but Delgado rakes. I do use Ruth in the OF though his fielding isn't so hot.
I’m worried that Maddux pitches too slow and doesn’t have that “put away” pitch
Thank you everyone for the input! I was leaning towards Maddux and everyone’s comments has been pretty much saying to go with Mad Max and that’s what I’ll do! Thanks again
That’s why I really love this forum- besides the trolls it can actually be [censored] useful!
Thanks
