Buy Field of Dreams packs. I'm an idiot.
Maybe I'm the odd one out but I like the conquest maps. Easy rewards and I like the hidden packs that pop up. Reminds me of the board game Risk.
As someone who switched from directional to zone, zone is far superior, or at least it was the in 20 and 21. However, your argument assumes that those who have better skills with PCI should be better. Lets not pretend the game is simple RNG when it comes to hitting. HOw many perfect perfect line drives are caught by the infield? How many dead center fastballs are hit with good timing but end up as an infield pop up? A hung slider is tracked down by a common fielder in the gap. How many homeruns have you hit with an early swing and the PCI well under the ball? Lets just all admit that hitting this year is broken regardless what batting style you play.
The big collection should not be easy, it should be a grind. Griffey (like Trout last year) is not a participation award. It has taken most of us 8 months to be in the position to get Griffey. That is a lot of games played, a lot of flipping, a lot of exchanges. Honestly, I would be angry if I played the game 8 months and someone who just picked up the game on Friday to be in the same place I was from a team and stub perspective. Griffey can still be completed it will just take some time and even for a lot of people that just got the game it will be a lot shorter than 8 months. The way they have TA's set up, you can basically double dip with your stats and games played.
The part that makes me mad about the game is that I should not need to spend money on a monitor or adapters for my controller to be somewhat sucessful.
We need a Tim "Rock" Raines.
Gagne in the first pack. Hornsby in the second.

Miggy 99. Worst Version of his card ever.
I believe everyone would agree. He is unusable.
Perfect Perfect linedrive smoked at the left handed First baseman who catches the liner across his body and tags out the runner leading off first in the same motion. Perfect Perfect double play.
I disagree. On stream, they said the programs would be varied in length and variety. I was also bummed at not get all FOTF players but TA last year ruined the game, the objectives were easy and not time consuming at all, and made it so essentially everyone had the same lineup. In terms of money making, yeah if you want all the FOTF players you need to pay for them but do you really want all of them? I might take 3 guys in the NL east but the rest of the cards arent all that great from the stats we have seen. In terms of grinding just play innings of ranked seasons. You don't even have to win. Bottom line is people hate change even if the change benefits them in the long run. Embrace the change and see where it takes you. Now if in a month or two content is stale, I'll be the first criticize SDS, but give them a chance. Game hasn't even released yet.
LS completed amonth ago and then focused on the big collection. Still need one award card for that collection to finish Brett.
Undoubtedly live quirks. Any card that has active quirks will out play a better stated card that does not. That is what keeps live series relevant and lighting and finest series so good. Even some face of the Franchise 90 overall play better than the new guys release. What makes Trout amazing is that is has the quirks and the stats.
Take pitches until you figure out the pattern. Even the best players fall into a routine with pitch selection and location. Then sit on one pitch in one zone. Example: look for the curve in the bottom left third and jump all over it.
I've used everyone but Posada but might give him a go with his price reasonable now. Mauer is good but very similar to Adley. Mauer has a little more contact but is only the lefty. Both their defense is average. I've seen myself go back to FOTF JT just because of his defense. He also has pop and speed. If you are not lefty heavy try out Joe you might really like his swing. I really need a switch or righty hitter at Catcher just to balance all the lefties in my lineup or I should say with all the lefty starters I'm only comfortable running 3 lefties at a time. Devers and Brett are going no where and I'm giving Ruth a chance.

Base round both packs….
Same
Maybe not every card but I have to have all collections full even the stupid ones like stadium sounds and celebrations.
I love the collections also. Once LS is completed I does seem like it gets boring. Even chasing Brett, I was just like "I'll wait for cheaper Takashi and Awards cards to drop". I think it would be great to extend LS collections. Make tokens to achieve to add more players to each team. The. Trade in the tokens for players. I hate looking at my LS collections which are all done but they either have wholes in them or a bunch of guys I can't collect because the collection is completed.
LS Trout, LS Acuna and LS Tatis are my top guys long term. MA Devers is a better version of his FOTF card which says something. Otherwise everyone else is a mixed bag. I might going on a couple game binge with a guy only to go ice cold with him. I also attribute that to user error but these 4 guys I listed seem to ball out even if your PCI isn't perfect or you have a late or early swing.
I think with the way the game is set up this year they will all decline. Events have rewind packs same with ranked although less people complete ranked so they will stay higher than events cards. Maybe BR flawless rewards? But again with the rewind packs no card is really rare anymore. A good investment in the past has been silver and gold BR cards but then they put those in mini seasons rewards so I'm not sure any card is a safe investment.

@mubby_33_psn said in ELECTRONIC ARTS confirms MVP Baseball franchise is back 2024!: @skippractice_psn said in ELECTRONIC ARTS confirms MVP Baseball franchise is back 2024!: Nope. Madden 22 is a very well developed game. Looks great, plays great, MUT is full of interesting content. You must work for EA. EA is the much bigger company with much more resources that is capable of producing a better game than SDS. However, EA is stiffled by a huge corporate structure that only cares about profits. They could care less about customer feedback or fixing issues within the game as long as they are making money. You can't honestly say Madden 22 is a well programed game. This year they basically stopped content in MUT before the superbowl. You just explained the SDS model.

How is this the SDS model? Seriously, I'm not seeing the correlation. I have not spent any money on MLB the Show, I have LS completed and 13 of 15 sets done for Brett. I have the stubbs to finish the set but I refuse to pay 120k for bench warmers just for the Awards and Takashi set. So tell me how is that just like EA and Madden. In MuT I have a 98 overall team that I dropped close to 500 bucks on( yes I'm ashamed but I own it) I only have one GT player on my team and have 50k coins left from doing Rookie Premiere sets. The only way to obtain more RP tokens is to buy packs with points that cost real money. So how is SDS and EA alike? Please drop some knowledge on me.
