Buy Field of Dreams packs. I'm an idiot.

Maybe I'm the odd one out but I like the conquest maps. Easy rewards and I like the hidden packs that pop up. Reminds me of the board game Risk.
Then why not give it away for free to everyone on here instead of begging for a DM? There are probably a dozen youtubes out there with tips. Do you have something different? I also suck at the game and I'm undisciplined at the plate, can you help with that?
As someone who switched from directional to zone, zone is far superior, or at least it was the in 20 and 21. However, your argument assumes that those who have better skills with PCI should be better. Lets not pretend the game is simple RNG when it comes to hitting. HOw many perfect perfect line drives are caught by the infield? How many dead center fastballs are hit with good timing but end up as an infield pop up? A hung slider is tracked down by a common fielder in the gap. How many homeruns have you hit with an early swing and the PCI well under the ball? Lets just all admit that hitting this year is broken regardless what batting style you play.
The big collection should not be easy, it should be a grind. Griffey (like Trout last year) is not a participation award. It has taken most of us 8 months to be in the position to get Griffey. That is a lot of games played, a lot of flipping, a lot of exchanges. Honestly, I would be angry if I played the game 8 months and someone who just picked up the game on Friday to be in the same place I was from a team and stub perspective. Griffey can still be completed it will just take some time and even for a lot of people that just got the game it will be a lot shorter than 8 months. The way they have TA's set up, you can basically double dip with your stats and games played.
The part that makes me mad about the game is that I should not need to spend money on a monitor or adapters for my controller to be somewhat sucessful.
We need a Tim "Rock" Raines.
Gagne in the first pack. Hornsby in the second.
You hit the arguement perfectly. I get under a sinker it is still a ground ball. I swing over the top of a change up it is a pop up. Those outcomes are not realistic and nor do they make any sense. I get the perfect perfects sometimes being outs but the other random stuff is just bad programing.
I much rather have people use one stub increments. You get some guys who list 500 to 1000 stubs lower and that triggers a price crash on the card and pretty soon it is down several thousand stubs. I would rather miss out on 1 or 2 stubs vs 3000 stubs.

Took some time off and about to get my first set 1 player. Suggestions? Chipper would replace Devers who would move to DH. Ruth would probably just be a DH for me, maybe Firstbase until I get Big Mac. Ruth always mashes for me but Chipper would bring some balance with the switch hitting.
90 Acuna is leading my team in HRs. Harry Ford is also amazing. Good power and contact with some speed on a catcher. 84 overlal Lindor from the TA packs has been raking for me also. I cant wait to get his 99.

great to hear gents - i am going to jump into this tomorrow night - any advice on what to do first ?
Not sure if this is correct but this is what I have done. Do some of the WBC momements. This will get you some free 90s to add to the team. Then I jumped into TA conquests with those new WBC players. You can knock out the PXP missions for those guys which can get you 95 overall WBC players and more PXP missions. Completing the conquest get your a nice headstart on TA, also get you a couple of team captains and henchmen so you can continue PXP grinding. IF I was event decent at H2h I would try the event but there is so much offline content, it is keeping me busy. I easily could have had all Conquests maps done and WBC program complete by now but I got caught up in flipping for Live Series sets. Already have AL Central done.
I'm working through the conquests first. Using guys from the WBC in these games to get their PXP missions done. Then I when I have some TA guys to put in the lineup I move over to mini seasons and knock out those PXP missions for those guys. TA looks like an extreme grind this year, so I'm going to take my time and not stress too much about it.
You are correct in that Jeter is underwhelming when compared to Randy last year. I completed LS last year at the end of April and Randy was on my team until he was replaced with the new Randy. Two things I'm concerned with about the LS this year. One is will they update player Overalls more aggressively? This will keep them relevant longer. I think SDS is making a move toward this with the intro of Captains boosting LS cards for each team. Second, the value of the rewards will hold value and maybe even go up. Right now not a huge deal but any cards from the LS including the rewards can be used all year. It will be interesting to see how these Set Seasons play out. But you are correct, with WBC, captains and Charisma guys, there is not a huge need for LS cards in one's lineup. Usually the high 80s and low 90s are good early game lineup guys, but most everyone in my lineup 4 days in is a 92 or above.
Still waiting on one. Packs have been trash for me so far.
people can stop complaining that he is not in the game. I feel like everytime SDS announces a new legend player everyone clamors over Jeter. Now the question is who is the love child that everyone will want next?
Look up on youtube. I beleive Ance had the tips that I used. If I remember go right from your stronghold and make a backwards C. But try to get two knocked out on the first turn and then steal fans from the next location. It was actually pretty easy. Once you get those initial steal fans and steal strongholds in so many turns you can then slow play it like usual. In terms of games, just work the count. They will walk you or throw you a meatball when they get behind.
The Pirates are once of the greatest MLB puzzles of all time. I feel like they are in a constant rebuild. I feel like since the their success in the early 90s and then firesale, they have consistently developed talent or acquired prospect talent through their many deals. However, anytime they start to see that talent materialize into major league players they hit the reset button.

Great to see Crime Dog in the Hall. Wish more had been voted in today, but will take Fred McGriff.
I read an article that actually convinced me that Roger Clemens was telling the truth about not using PEDs. Since he was such a dominating pitcher since he was a rookie, he deserved to be in the HOF.
First of all, I would never condone the use of steriods or any substance that would cause long term detrimental health issue. I guess what I find amusing about the whole PED debate is that MLB was actaully ok with the use of PEDs. So they profitted off of players increasing the level of play and then cashed in with merchandise and ticket sales. Then players get caught and have to answer to Congress and MLB is just like we knew nothing and lets thow the players under the bus. SInce the begging of sport (any kind of sport) athletes have always tried to find a leg up. Pitchers have been using sticky stuff since 1900, stealing signs has been done for decades but we turn into the morality police when it comes to steriods. You also cant tell me more modern players arent doping or illegal supplementing, they are just getting smarter about hiding it.
