Worst series ever. The All Star series is trash with most AllStars having no higher than a 90 overall. I have tons of these 2024 AS even some solid allstar game series but stats dont count. Even the grind for Judge was not worth it but his stats don't count.

Yeah I played one full game and lost but did get a hit. I thought that would do it

With no Boggs how do you complete it. Someone said a hit with anyone but it did not work for me. Suggestions?

I almost have Lou Brock but have there been enough free/ non sellable cards to get the first boss. I play a lot, have all "other "programs completed, TA1 and TA2 completed and 3 of the 6 divisions in TA3 and still feel like I am going to come up short. Where is everyone else at?

Im still a ways away but if I can get there, I think Rollins and Mays are locks. For pitchers, Wood and Dibble. Some of these TA cards will be hard to move off of. Hower, I have enough core/ live series guys to fill out the lineup for a few weeks. So digging through those core cards is going to be fun. I think early in the season release, utilizing any card that is supercharged can really help also.

@arvcpa Who are your 13 switch hitters? I looked at this but was not sure I could get a full boost. Santana at C, Bell at 1st, Chipper, Lindor and DeLaCruz, Marte, Roberts in the IF. Mantle and Dominguez in the OF. Adley on the Bench. Those are my guesses, who am I missing? Now that I think of it this would be an amazing lineup that would probably be worth it.

@JDHalfrack Yeah that is why I said until Season 2. Presumably we will get new Captains to boost guys for the start of S2. I can even see them not allowing S1 Captains to be activated during S2. THe Buxton boost is just too good for lower overall cards. That or all the new cards they drop for S2 have 61 or more vision. I wanted to tryout Papi but the cost with just a couple weeks left is not worth. Same with Santana, although a whole lineup of switch hitters would be hard to get I would think.

This 3rd set of TA is making it tough but even 8 of 8 on the Buxton boost is amazing. Maybe as I knock out more of this TA but with Buxton and parallel 4 or 5 these cards still play well. Bellinger, Dominguez, Jones, Stanton and Sanchez are still puttting in work.

Roberts has a great swing, switch hitter, speed. Escobar is a great hitter from both sides with position flexiblity. Miller with pop and plays every position. Wood imo is the best overall pitcher. Glavine is amazing in Ranked with pinpoint control, if you just play offline go with Alcantra. The second tier are great but they have like one hole in their game, like being slow, low vision, or no quirks. Davis, Renfroe, Schmidt, Edgar fit here. SOme of the other inf are good but Roberts, Escobar and Miller really lock up those positions. One thing is certain, I am saving AL Central for last. Nothing really appealing there.

It was an issue with last year but even more so this year. I get lineup restirctions on Events and mini season but the whole game mode has defacto lineup restrictions. I never really get to play with my true Diamond Dynasty Team. Instead I am stuck loading up my lineup with cards just to grind out objectives. I have always liked the team building aspect of DD and getting all the players I admired as a kids and the best players of today playing together but the Season format really does not allow it. For Season Awards I have to load up on Topps Now and usually one or two positions. TA is all about forcing the former boss cards you collect into your lineup, sometimes even guys out of position just for the sake of time. At this point I wont have any time to play with any TA3 cards before the season ends. It like I am at a disadvantage from an objective standpoint using some of my favorite cards in my lineup. Just disappointing is all, I wish SDS could find a better balance.

If you want these cards right now then yes you need to buy packs. Im sure once then next season starts or maybe even TA2 at the end of the week, some of these packs with show up in rewards. The two keys to NMS has always been grinding and patience. Season Awards were easy to complete without doing the set. I have not spent a dime and really have not grinded very much at all and I already have all but 5 teams completed for Live series. Im in no hurry for the super expensive cards I need.

@SchnauzerFace SDS took a page out of EA's Madden Playbook when determining "legends". DId you play in the MLB for even the slightest amount time and are retired and no longer play? Congrats you are a legend.

Took some time off and about to get my first set 1 player. Suggestions? Chipper would replace Devers who would move to DH. Ruth would probably just be a DH for me, maybe Firstbase until I get Big Mac. Ruth always mashes for me but Chipper would bring some balance with the switch hitting.

90 Acuna is leading my team in HRs. Harry Ford is also amazing. Good power and contact with some speed on a catcher. 84 overlal Lindor from the TA packs has been raking for me also. I cant wait to get his 99.

Not sure if this is correct but this is what I have done. Do some of the WBC momements. This will get you some free 90s to add to the team. Then I jumped into TA conquests with those new WBC players. You can knock out the PXP missions for those guys which can get you 95 overall WBC players and more PXP missions. Completing the conquest get your a nice headstart on TA, also get you a couple of team captains and henchmen so you can continue PXP grinding. IF I was event decent at H2h I would try the event but there is so much offline content, it is keeping me busy. I easily could have had all Conquests maps done and WBC program complete by now but I got caught up in flipping for Live Series sets. Already have AL Central done.

I'm working through the conquests first. Using guys from the WBC in these games to get their PXP missions done. Then I when I have some TA guys to put in the lineup I move over to mini seasons and knock out those PXP missions for those guys. TA looks like an extreme grind this year, so I'm going to take my time and not stress too much about it.

You are correct in that Jeter is underwhelming when compared to Randy last year. I completed LS last year at the end of April and Randy was on my team until he was replaced with the new Randy. Two things I'm concerned with about the LS this year. One is will they update player Overalls more aggressively? This will keep them relevant longer. I think SDS is making a move toward this with the intro of Captains boosting LS cards for each team. Second, the value of the rewards will hold value and maybe even go up. Right now not a huge deal but any cards from the LS including the rewards can be used all year. It will be interesting to see how these Set Seasons play out. But you are correct, with WBC, captains and Charisma guys, there is not a huge need for LS cards in one's lineup. Usually the high 80s and low 90s are good early game lineup guys, but most everyone in my lineup 4 days in is a 92 or above.

Look up on youtube. I beleive Ance had the tips that I used. If I remember go right from your stronghold and make a backwards C. But try to get two knocked out on the first turn and then steal fans from the next location. It was actually pretty easy. Once you get those initial steal fans and steal strongholds in so many turns you can then slow play it like usual. In terms of games, just work the count. They will walk you or throw you a meatball when they get behind.
