I completed the extreme program, doing all but one moment (Griffey 8 tanks) cause as you might have guessed, I'm not much of a good player. idk how many times the 25k pxp mission got completed but I got Kerry to P5 like a week ago, so that got me a good chunk of stars, obviously completed the conquest and that was it, so if anyone gets discouraged by the program, it really isn't that hard. The hardest moment for some ppl might be the dev's godsquad, but just as many ppl say for the showdown, just take a lot of pitches, hit as best as you can (which can be tough but you only need to get lukcy a couple times, it just takes patience). so yeah, it's doable, for any ppl who might get discouraged (this post may be too late but I just wanted to share)

Why would they do that? SDS openly rewards cheesers and freezers. These are the chumps that spend real world money on digital cards. SDS may as well change their name to EA sports part 2.
How are correlating people who spend money on stubs with people who dashboard?
Because they are usually not good enough to grind for the big cards, so they just go the short route and buy them.
It's not that some people aren't "good" enough to grind for cards, it's that some of them have lives outside of video games and can't put as much time as maybe you and I do into a game, they've got more important things to worry about.

@Blind_Bleeder said in It has to be the most frustrating:
Easy answer. Perfect contact does not equal perfect results. It doesn't on the field, and it doesn't in the game. It never has and never will. Way too many people are hung up on this. They want arcade results instead of baseball results.
I mean we want "arcade" results because we are playing a video game? If you have a perfect input on a video game you should get a perfect or at least decent result every time, taking into account how much harder it is to have a perfect input in comparison to the other types of input, it obviously is true that baseball doesn't work that way, but it doesn't mean the game has to work exactly like real life
This game is by no means perfect, and you might even be able to say it's not good, but I don't think anyone understands how much less fun this game would be if it was just PCI on ball simulator. You want all your pitchers having 7.00+ ERAs and your hitters all hitting 600, your team scoring 30 runs a game? That's what it will be if we get arcade results.
Idk how ya'll come to these conclusions, I don't want whatever tf you said, what I'm saying is, if I get perfect input I should be rewarded more than the guy who's getting late hits all the time. As an example: Last night I was playing some dude and he hit a fastball through a hole to right side with good timing, which is obv ok, then hit an inside snk late timing double to score a run, he had like 3 or 4 more late hits that led to runs. I had 3 perfects and no hits to show for them, so you're telling me this guy was deservingly beating me because I'm asking for "arcade results"?

I think a way around it would be to delete all files with the old logo then download the ones you want. It sounds like a pain, but if it works, it works.
Alr done that so I'm pretty much screwed lmao

Many ppl are saying he´ll probably get a retro finest for his 99 or some other type of card but doesn't it make sense for it to be the final reward of the Takashi collection? I mean, I'm new to the show but didn't they bring up the Takashi cards in honor of his love for anime/manga or smth like that? It'd only make sense to me if he were the final collection reward for the Takashi series

He better be, only reason why I'm keeping up with the Takashi cards...
I don't even have many of them (barely enough for Cutch voucher) but when that 99 Shohei drops I'm most def getting him

You can always build a CAP, give him Marsh’s stance, and name him Brandon Marsh. Maybe people won’t realize you are using a CAP!
Seriously though, you like his swing more than any, or at least, most other players? I haven’t used him much at all. I want to try him now.Yeah but building a CAP is so tedious, like I was doing a SS named Jon Snow I tried for him to look like Kit Harington and all but I just got bored halfway through the grind. I do like it more than most other players but I'd have to test it in comparison to Brett, Ketel and Cutch, rn my cap is on Brett's swing but I've kinda been struggling with both him and George so I was considering putting him on Cutch's whom I'm batting 430 with through 100 ab so I think I'm comfortable with it, your idea isn't bad tho I might try that out
I don’t use a CAP myself, I don’t like grinding RTTS either. I also haven’t gotten McCutchen yet. We have Betts coming out Tomorrow, I am curious how good his attributes will be. My favorite swing is Griffey Jr., but who knows when we will see an actual 99 overall of him.
I hope we get double XP at some point, I still didn’t get the boss pack. If you got it, who did you pick?Oh fasho, if Mookie's attributes are godsquad material I'll be just throwing him into right. It'll probably be toward the end of the program, about sept 13 or sumn I'd say (the 2x xp). Cutch is nasty tho whenever you get him, he's just a beast. And I picked Chipper, I wasn't really in need of a 1b + switch hitting is a very good added value imo, also didn't feel like I needed to add another bullpen arm so it was an ez pick for me
-
I just love his swing and I do real good with his cards, I just need him to get a great card and I'm set for life

Seaver with outlier? Or Gibson with outlier?
What about Maddux with outlier? Or Hershiser with outlier?
Nah they never threw hard just had a lot of movement.
I know, I was just making over emphasized joke about the amount of pitcher’s with outlier. Pedro got it, he didn’t throw hard enough to get it. Maddux and Hersh were masters of their craft; they used good pitch mixes, great movement, and command of the zone.

Agreed but it’s a shame their supreme ability doesn’t translate into the game.
I always pitched well with Maddux. Then, after pitching with him for a couple times through the lineup, bring in a reliever that throws heat. 102mph will feel like 110.
I got his Takashi card to p5 and enjoyed pitching with him sm

@lSlimBrighty_XBL said in 500k XP Programs:
Is it just me or are they way too easy to complete quickly (if you play the game a lot) I mean, within 2 days of the field of dreams program I alr had all the boss packs and completed back to old school within like 5 days to a week, ofc collecting cards like the extreme rewards and all that makes it way easier but I did the field of dreams without any of that. I've been bored bc I completed this program like a week ago and got the 50 event wins even quicker so I didn't have much to aim for in the game. I'm glad there's a new (hopefully long) program coming tomorrow and a new collection, so I have something to aim for
What do you do to get that much XP quickly. Just the missions, conquest, and Events or RS? Any help would be appreciated. I try to play everyday, and I don’t play other games.
I play a ton of the ongoing event, until I get to like 35 wins or wherever there's a pack where I could pull smth nice, then if I haven't completed the BR program I hop into that, and finally if I really want to grind out the program and get to the packs quickly I go into RTTS and autopilot my way into a million homers to get that xp, so nothing too crazy, I've also seen there's a March to October method but honestly that mode doesn't attract me at all lol

Come on, man. This is a bit ridiculous. That Milestone 700 Pujols better be able to come out of the bullpen.
Let's stop with fantasy land before it gets too crazy around here. I feel it's a bit late with everybody having +115 power for a good game in May. We'll see
I mean, you must have not played any nba 2k MyTeam you get freaking Shaq playing PG as a primary, Kareem dribbling like he's Kyrie, and much more stuff like that so believe me when I say this isn't bad at all for a fantasy mode lol

This guy just won't stop hitting home runs for me, in all fairness, most of his hrs have been in the event, so it's All Star diff but still, I struggle hitting Randy in most difficulties, Hank? He doesn't care, most of his HRs in this event have been against Randy, maybe it's a mental think where I feel comfortable hitting with him, but I'd still recommend picking him up

What is funny is sometimes you can dot pitches all game even though they aren't going anywhere near where you are aiming.
LOL...even funnier? Sometimes, you can pitch with 100x more accuracy and effectiveness when you have 0 energy and confidence. I use metered, so I experience what you said A LOT.
Nah if that guy was dotting my cheeks up on meter imma just off myself

Hey all! I’m late to the game this year. Starting from scratch in September. Who do you recommend for budget Shortstops? I only have around 20k stubs from flipping and I have lots of team needs so am thinking maybe the AS Dansby Swanson? Any other suggestions?
Doesn’t need to be total meta, but just usable for a while.
Thanks!
Maybe All Star Dansby? Idk how much he is rn tho and idrk about other budget options, but I mean many ppl are still using their created player idk

I know ‘18 program grinds were awful, and that game was homerun or nothing, but still…
‘22 has to be the most frustrating gameplay, right?
It’s not that perfects don’t go for XBHs enough, although that is a problem. But why do so many near perfects result in absolute dog doodoo? An eyelash from center PCI; an eyelash from perfect timing—can of corn. Easy grounder. And if you’re lucky enough to have that swing be a line drive, that left fielder with a 60 fielding attribute will run it down with ease.
Acquiring cards for the sake of accomplishing missions is fun. Actually playing the game is not.
Sometimes just posting about my frustration and commiserating with the community makes me feel better.
Yeah, I feel you, last night I hit a center pci, early side of good timing lineout with Frank against a lefty (125 power lol)

Bruh really said 20k to 13 million (which is obviously possible, not directly cause of the stub limit but possible in the end) but a new player I doubt is thinking about collections lmao (ik it was a joke but I like to sometimes take these things seriously and think how I'd go about them)
