BR missions question

The mission says 50 runs overall but the progress says 40. Anyone know which it is? I'd try to find out but I'm the worst online hitter and it'll take a week haha.

It's 40 I am pretty sure and it's funny that SDS hasn't fixed this yet.
Also I find BR pretty easy right now. I am 5-0 on my playthrough today and only let up 1 run.

I think it completed for me with 40 runs, so I guess it's that

Thanks fellas. I just need to learn how to hit better. I finished BR a few times last year after they doubled the win points to 2 per game.

You got this, Eric. It’s just about commitment.
As said above, this has been a pretty easy one so far ( outside of the homerun dashboarders). I will finish my first run with at least 48 points, and should be able to finish the program in 2 more.
I do t particularly like BR and think this is only the 4th season in the last 3 years I have played , but the rewards and stubs you can make are Too good to not at this point.

Thanks man, appreciate the encouragement. I think my biggest area is learning how to mix pitches to live people after playing the computer and I just need to work on my hitting consistently. Any tips are always appreciated.

@OreoRockstar_PSN is 100% correct. You can do this. I'm not as good as he is, but for online I don't think you can beat BR. Even without the 2 points for a win, the missions make it easier. I think I calculated that you can finish the program with as little as 2 wins. 48 points for completing player missions and 50 for pxp and xbh/runs (you don't even have to do the 10 HRs or 4,000 pxp in a single run).
Yes, you'll have to spend a few stubs, but the rewards far outstrip that. Plus, most of us have stubs to burn right now. Finally, I just have way more fun in BR vs RS (or even events) at this time of year. It's great not to have to face Randy every game.

I honestly haven’t played much online this year; but in previous games I found that most games were lower scoring than I expected. I am not much of a hitter, but pitching is my thing. I could only tell you that remember what your opponent did when you threw them a certain pitch, and try to find weaknesses. You don’t want to leave too many pitches in the zone, they won’t miss like the CPU. Also, speed differentials are key. If you used a pitcher who throws heat, make your reliever someone with lower speeds and maybe a different delivery. I can give you more tips, just hit me up any time.

Also, @Pennstatefencer_MLBTS posted a great primer on BR strategy here:

I know there are a lot of thoughts out there on BR strategy, but I think this one is great. I matched up with him once last year and... he crushed me. So either a) he knows what he'd doing or b) I'm terrible. Probably some of each.

Did you get far last year? I am not the best hitter at all. I like that they added the program, but when MLB made the pitch 3 batters rule it changed the whole way I have to draft. Not that I went 12-0.
