Update: I just finished combing through all free agents and moving the real minor league players back to their teams. Once Ridin V3 is out tomorrow. I'm gonna do a mass import of prospects from that roster to get rid if the remaining fake players on teams rosters. After this I have a little more to do then ill have an update on everything I did and hopefully the rosters will be in the vault sometime this weekend

One of the barriers is that it would require a complete revamp to the logic for progression, regression, free agency, scouting, trading... a whole bunch of other things too such as RTTS progression. Unfortunately it’s not an easy thing to add 😞

Thats what I'm leaning towards honestly. Most likely I'll create a franchise threwd in here. Ill still play all the games. However ill stream the big or important games. And provide some written and video highlights of stuff in between. Still hammering out all the details and I probably won't start til some time in May. So I have time. Thanks for the feedback 😀

Well my off season went interesting. About 4 or 5 days into free agency. I noticed my rival Yankees were front runners for T. Bauer. With a 6 year $120 million offer. Coming in second were the reds with a 4 year $100 million. I decided that I had to at least be part of the conversation even though I had no intent of actually landing him. I offered him a 6 year $90 million dollar deal (which is what I could afford staying within my budget) I was his 3rd favorite offer (naturally) and I figured I wont get him that cheap. But at least I put in my bid. Continued simming and 4 days later he accepted MY offer? I'm gonna chock this up to the games faulty logic. There's no way he should have left $30 million on the table for the same amount if years. But I will enjoy my new ace briefly until the new game comes out.

I also signed K. Kella to close and K. Hernandez to play second base. I traded for H. Ramirez from the Marlins to fill in my outfield hole.

Going into 2021 I am going to manually injure Sale til June. Hopefully I can stay competitive until then and have a good Bauer, Sale, Rodriguez 123 punch down the stretch.

I think the new (well, a few years now) design was intended to monetize the mode. Ya know, make it confusing so you get frustrated and buy some credit. You do see the option to add to your bank via The Show Store?

However, I think full monetization was put on the back-burner (as just about everything else in Franchise mode has been) and the half-assed system was left in place. Makes sense, as everything else is half-assed.

My friend this has actually been going on since the release. This is due to unbalanced rosters where one team has 10 catchers for example and need SS depth. Therefore the continual trades happen to balance the rosters. Edited rosters such as Ridin are balanced so the trades don’t happen. It sucks, I know, and doesn’t look like it’ll be fixed unfortunately.

Oh, I thought it was aliens, I should really stop watching history channel. 👽

I don’t know how some Red Sox fans consider him one of our best relievers, I have an aneurism every time he tries to hit the strike zone with anything. Fastball, curveball, soft ball throw, you NAME IT. It’s 3-0 everytime in the count

Red Sox Update 8/2/20:

Red Sox pull off a 4 game sweep of the Yankees to put themselves back into it (i wish this was real life but its not) the wild card is still their main focus.

IL: Kevin Kiermaier fractured his shin.

I'm waiting on the next roster update as well. I've also downloaded the draft version. Of ridin rosters. I'll most likely spend some time and make a hybrid of those 2 rosters. For my franchise. I also plan to play/sim many seasons during the off season so I want things as realistic as possible

I did. And oddly enough both teams seemed to benefit. at the time of the trade I was in 4th place looking to be done with the year and the Braves were in 3rd. I I simmed the month of August to get back to where I was in my last franchise and have now played to mid September. the braves went on a incredible august run and now lead their division. I am now in 3re place in my division and only a half game out of the wild card behind the Ray's and Astros. I have 7 games against the Rays left. Hopefully I can over take them. Peterson and Hernandez got hot in Atlanta to help the Braves. Newcomb was solid for me in August as well before a season ending injury early September. excited to see what he does next year. Pache is also one of my September call ups and presumably my starting CF next season.

July Update 4: We will get to me in a second first. Let me provide some key league updates.

AL Futures win 9-5.
Arenado wins HR Derby in 3rd swing off round.
AL All Stars win 15-14 in 13 innings.
PCL All Stars win 5-4.
EEA All Stars win 4-0.

Key Trades:
Yankees Orioles: Santander for prospects.
Cubs Rangers: Gallo for Happ & Rizzo.
Cubs Pirates: Frazier for prospects.
Ray's Rockies: Story for Morton, Margot & Adames.

Now on to me. I find myself struggling at the deadline. In 3rd behind the Ray's and Yankees. In striking distance but hanging by a thread. I decided I cant let some of these guys walk without getting anything back. So I become a seller and fire sale a bunch of my players in last year of contract as well as one to clear salary. Through suggested trades and some trade block creativity however, I may remain a contender. I net mostly mid (C potential) level prospects. I do however add a handful of guys who may help me contend down the stretch and still have some years of team control (a win now rebuild if you will) and a few I consider rentals.

A Recap of pre July trades

June:

Padres. Prospects for prospects.

3 team with Nationals and Braves. Nationals get Morland & Hernandez. Braves get Perez & Eaton. I Get Newcomb.

My July deadline trades were as follows:

Bradley to Cubs for prospects. (CPU sugedted)

Eovaldi to Twins for prospects. (CPU suggested)

Rodriguez, Plawecki & a prospect to Reds for Senzel (5 years control ). Say hello to my new Brock Holt.

A three team trade with the Dodgers and Pirates. Dodgers get JD Martinez, prospects. Pirates Get Workman, Hernandez, Peraza, prospects. I get Peterson & Archer (both rental place holders) Graterol (6 years control and grooming in minors to be my new closer) Stripling (2 years control) Bell (2 years control).

Despite the fact that I may have just handed the Dodgers the World Series, my new look Red Sox will hopefully be a contender down the stretch and for years to come. I cap off July by calling up Newcomb (who I got from the Braves in June) he will round out my rotation. I also sign Devers to a well deserved 8 year extension worth 160 mil. Back loaded. On to the dog days of August.

Huge Red Sox fan here. Played the show 16' and 18'. Would you recommend this game? I love the idea of having a full roster down to single A but I don't like having to play every single game or SIM wish there was a way to play a shorter season
