Well I got my ps4 back earlier than expected. I'm starting hopefully my final franchise with the draft version of ridin rosters. I wont be doing a thread this time but for those of you who followed my previous threads. I'd like some input. I simmed my franchise to where I was before making similar trades along the way. This time I decided to live mostly by the suggested trade button.
Mid July I flipped Bradley for 2 medium level prospects. I also flipped Workman 1 on 1 for another pitcher.
Then came the big one at the deadline. those of you who followed me before know I traded Martinez to the dodgers with the centerpiece being Graterol (a guy I personally would have been okay getting in the real life best trade though I cant say no to Downs) so I put both player in the trade screen. obviously a 1 on 1 wasn't available due to budget so I hit suggest and the Dodgers added Hernandez and Peterson to the deal to compensate salary. Now because I had no current use for Peterson and Hernandez I decided to shop them and essentially make a 3 team trade. I noticed the Braves were seeking LF so I put Peterson and Hernandez in the trade screen and hit suggested trade. Here's where it gets interesting the Braves asked me to add B level prospect McGrath to the deal but in exchange offered me Newcomb and prospect Pache. Needing both pitching and CF I took the deal. Still at face value I cant tell if the braves gave me too much for a couple rental players and a B prospect but again this was a computer suggested trade. But I do know the trade system is flawed. thoughts on this deal? Did I rip the braves off or was it fair?

I'd say its fair. Newcomb is not what he was once thought to be and could be seen as a reclamation project, and so his value dropped. Pache is a great guy. to get. Now, if the Braves were contending, then it would seem reasonable to have given up a top prospect to receive Pederson and Hernandez,in fact, getting more out of the deal wouldn't seem outrageous to me. As to why the Braves would need a CF with Ozuna, Acuna, and Markakis in the OF (assumption) is shocking to me but go for it!

I did. And oddly enough both teams seemed to benefit. at the time of the trade I was in 4th place looking to be done with the year and the Braves were in 3rd. I I simmed the month of August to get back to where I was in my last franchise and have now played to mid September. the braves went on a incredible august run and now lead their division. I am now in 3re place in my division and only a half game out of the wild card behind the Ray's and Astros. I have 7 games against the Rays left. Hopefully I can over take them. Peterson and Hernandez got hot in Atlanta to help the Braves. Newcomb was solid for me in August as well before a season ending injury early September. excited to see what he does next year. Pache is also one of my September call ups and presumably my starting CF next season.
