that's a bummer man, if it's really final like you lost all your cards? the dudes could easily compensate your squad to get back in it. I feel bad for you because I know how much of a bummer it would be, I love this game. I think you should pick it back up at some point just because you enjoy it, I hope they do get you back somehow. unless you are flagged for doing something against terms or something and there's another side to them just completely losing your squad for you.

Did you try uninstall and reinstall the game, I found that works most times

I did all 3 core 4 stories and jorge, Rivera and pettite don't show up. I got the Paul O'Neil, chili Davis and Jeter rookie ones though

Piece of advice for you is, don’t leave your pitchers in for too long, when you have a reliever give up a bunch of runs they get tired and their confidence goes down, which in turn causes issues with control and break, so you end up serving up beach balls to your opponent. Bullpen management, it’s a thing.

Discipline used to be a huge deal for check swings, bit in competitive mode, it’s supposed to be input only; they toned it down in 20 or 21 because it was ridiculously easy to do. It’s basically for the most part a sim stat, like HR/9.

I heard back in the say that discipline also helped get calls on borderline pitches, but never had confirmation.

It's the effect of the user has now seen more pitches, along with the pitcher's stamina is draining.

3 years in November for me, and don't forget for the first third of it's shelf life current gen consoles were nigh impossible to get...so we lost a good portion of it's life cycle
