Contract editing

I love that you can edit contracts in the game but I really think they should allow you to edit contracts beyond 10 years. I know it doesn't happen that often but its slightly frustrating.
I'm going to start a franchise and sim the first 102 games and play the last 60 so i can kinda play along with the season (granted the match ups would be different) but its still something.
Even though i play as Boston I'd like to have Mookies new contract with the Dodgers in my franchise since it did happen before the season started. I have downloaded the draft version of ridinrosters and did a little personal tweaking. I attempted to add Betts contract extension but it won't let me up the contract past 10 years.
Yes I even tried starting a franchise with 30 team control and tried extending Betts im spring training. But in the game he refused to sign to that extension.
So I'm torn. Do I wait for a roster update to have his contract extension and start my franchise a little late. Or do I live with a 10 year extension so I can start playing games tomorrow?
Interested both in thoughts on what I should do and to know if I'm the only one who wants better contract editing

I really doubt they would update his contract this year, they don't really pay any attention to franchise anymore. So giving him a ten year contract is probably all your going to be able to do. If you wait until they fix it you might as well sell the game lol

Good point. Ill set up my franchise this afternoon

I'm personally waiting on a roster update first, I'm a reds fan and they don't have Shogo Akiyama on the team yet. Since he has now played he should be added into the game.

I'm waiting on the next roster update as well. I've also downloaded the draft version. Of ridin rosters. I'll most likely spend some time and make a hybrid of those 2 rosters. For my franchise. I also plan to play/sim many seasons during the off season so I want things as realistic as possible
