So I played a lot of games today (4.27) probably ten event games and 2 full ranked games. I did not have one fielding glitch, non did I see any of my opponents make a coding forced error. I had and saw errors immediately after the patch and I know nothing else was done but today was smooth, and fun. I hope the game continues to play this good! Encouraging

Okay, but both of these "glaring gameplay fielding issues" are still happening regularly. The patch went up less than a week ago and I can think of at least a dozen instances since then where fielders have worn a fly ball on their face because of no catch animation or ran straight over the ball. This has cost me multiple games over multiple modes and needs to be addressed immediately.

I just played a game where 2 routine fly balls cost me 6 runs.
First was Soto who had a fly ball at the wall he was camped under it but never put his glove up. That extended the inning and my opponent was able to score 3.
Im the 8th with bases loaded I get my opponent to hit a can of corn to Reggie in rf. Reggie camps under the ball and the ball hits him in the face and rolls to the wall clearing the bases.
I was able to keep my composure and end up winning but this isn’t right. I shouldn’t be freaking out on a routine out. Hitting now takes focus and skill yes good/ok is annoying but it’s clear fielding is in such a bad state right now it makes me not want to play RS which is my favorite mode.

They gotta get on that and fix it asap ... Pro players make routine play's in there sleep, and it should be the same in a sim video game of baseball ....

Haven’t played in like two weeks. Played a game today and hitting is still random (IE good-okay when right on it, good-good on a hanger just is a soft fly ball, very early slightly rolled is a hit back up the middle, ect.) when’s patch 1.10 when u fix the hitting.

I'm a 74 year old guy that has been playing for around 10 years. I play on all-star, all-star. I only play online head to head. I can't use any sliders in the settings and that is fine. The only problems I have with the game is the hitting. I seems that I'm late on EVERY fastball they throw. FIX the [censored] hitting on A-S and below please. You can speed the pitching up for the higher levels but give the average player a chance. It goes without saying the fielding needs to be fixed.

Infield d really needs some help. Too many easy balls being booted or not even attempted at as they bounce by my fielder. Also players need more urgency throwing and making plays when fast runners are on/ at the plate

We know the fielding and base running are broken, but can we get something done about the horrible pitching? Maybe hire a couple competent devs to fix these issues and the check swing cheesers? Maybe test your game before putting it out broken every year as well?
And the fielding patch did nothing it’s still broken. -

Urgency in general would help. Also, I think the animations at second base where the fielder insists on taking the ball to the bag himself OR makes a lollipop toss are both a problem.
There needs to be consistency between fielding speed and base running. How come Marte can not beat out a slow roller to third, but Merrifield can’t properly start a double play?

Game wasn’t perfect on release because fielding was broken, and still is ...
Compared to this mess 18 was perfect. i hardly experienced any fielding issues until the patches stated...After 6 days of people pounding gold and silver pitchers on all-star they panicked and ruined hitting, i feel almost like we are being cheese trolled by sds with how frustrating this game is... after we have bought their lives for 10 years. At least they could not cheap out with the server capacity, that might help a lot too!
If the game still played like it did early release, i would drop 500$ tomorrow. Not getting anymore $ from me until 2022 if ever. The "server maint" last night made the game even worse in my experience today. Hate being negative, just wish i hadn't played until after the first few patches because i know how good it almost was and that's what makes it hard to stomach.
Whoever the dev is that built the original hitting for 20 should be running the show at sds. It was a masterpiece. Whoever made the call to change hitting should probably be looking for a new job by now smh. If i was the hitting dev i'd quit, what a waste!!!!

So I do feel that fielding has been a bit better overall since the patch. There still some issues like the video below. First clip was me, second clip was an opponent.

Offence / hitting is also trash after the update.
Batting average from 330 + to 317 in a very few GM's.
Slugging from over 600 is in a plummet also.
I've checked with numerous people and the same is occurring with their hitting stats.
Heck the same type players i mercy ruled
Consistently are now square mashing hm runs and winning ( not base- ball ) but striking out 19 or 20 times too.
Pre patch one gm
Now ? A totally different gm.
The worst since release by far.
( all Comments and reference pertains to online rated gm play ) -
So that happened just now. Game was for WS and that was a homerun by potm didi with a 9 pci placement.
How does this happen maybe I didn’t play/watch enough baseball to comprehend this madness?

I added music because some of the clips I was in party chat and cursing extemely loud, figured I'd try and cover that up some.

I have problems with the baserunning I lost a game because of it I selected 3rd to tag up and my other runners went and they weren’t tagged so I selected them and they all went back so I didn’t score and he got the out at first on the tag up
