It’s 65K why would anyone assume that it was unsellable when the draft rares were already cheaper?

Nowhere on the flash sale for the rare round pack does it say that this is unsellable until you make the pick! I want compensation!

I still see him as the ultimate unicorn of DD. Every other card in this game has been and will be back again. 99 Chipper, 99 Ryan, 99 Honus, it literally doesn’t matter, there just in different spots at different times every year wether WS or a collection.

You will probably never get another 125/125 power hitting 99 overall starting pitcher. Ever. Enjoy him if you like him, I just don’t see the need to pretend this card isn’t something special because it costs a lot. It’s a very unique card that will probably never resurface again.

This is a great way to look at it. He may not be the best at anything, but no other pitcher can hit like he can. Is he expensive? Yes. But for the guys with stubs he’s a great get.

I'm not a math guru but the odds of pulling a Trout out of one of those is super slim. Even if you hit on the 1:10 odds, odds are it's def not Trout. And he is the only one worth pulling at this point.

Lol, throwing away 20K stubs does not equal “knowing what you’re doing during flash sale day.”

Man you play your game and I’ll play mine. If I wanna blow 20k stubs on a slot machine that’s my choice to make. When they game is stale at the moment sometimes it’s fun to gamble. I absolutely know how to make stubs, so equating dropping 20k to not knowing what you’re doing simply isn’t correct

Just wondered if anyone had a list or spreadsheet out there of all of the past headliners, would be helpful for flash sales today. Thanks for any help!

Not sure how doing doing TA exchanges causes inflation. Once you exchange the card is no longer available. That is not what leads to inflation. Stub sales lead to market inflation not exchanges.

Not sure if inflation was the right word here, but prices do go up due to TA exchanges. When you exchange cards they disappear which means there are less cards on the market, so the prices of the remaining cards go up.

Selling bronzes has to be the most tedious way you could possibly make stubs though. I flip golds and even that is pretty mind numbing lol.

It’s free money, and so easy to do. You do your method and we will do ours.

Griffey will only drop. He will get a 99 at some point, and he’s a headliner. Those packs will get sprinkled throughout the game. Dominguez may go up because he’s an event reward and won’t be gettable until the last event of the year. Also, he’s a switch hitter and a yankee which might keep his price higher.

That's my quandary. I figured that Griffey would eventually get a 99.

Dominguez on the other hand; this is probably his highest card.

But once I complete the POTM Programs and AS Program, I'll have multiple OF players.

Dominguez would probably be a bench bat at most. Is it worth having 60K+ on the bench?

Dominguez is literally the best CF in the game. He is a 5 tool player. I have him halfway between parallel 4 and parallel 5. He will never leave my lineup. Switch hitter with power, speed, cannon and defense. The only thing trout might have over him is the live series quirks.

Even better than AS Acuna or POTM Buxton?

He is those but as a switch hitter. Trust me, keep him.

I second this, Dominguez is by far the best CF I’ve used all year

Yeah and I’m just worried he’s gonna make so many errors and cost me a lot of runs. Which sucks cause I’d love to use him but at the same time I want to win so I’ll probably stick with Alfonso

Soto is a good hitter when a righty pitcher is on the mound. If you care about Defense, then yeah, put him on the bench and use him to clutch.

That’s just such an expensive bench bat when I already have guys like Ortiz, Fielder, Walsh, and Devers that I already have and can’t sell. So it’s either start in LF or sell at this point.

If you want the all star collection, you have to keep Soto.

I’m just waiting to do that cause in a few months they’ll likely be giving out the packs through programs and conquest maps and I won’t have to spend 200k+ on both Vladdy and Peralta

Yeah but in a few months there will be hundreds of 99s, and that collection will be useless. I’ve learned that if there is a card you want to use, go get it now.

Just do the TA3 exchanges and you’ll instantly get 6 All Star cards

How much do the exchanges cost and what's the best way to do them?

I don’t remember exactly the cost, but cheapest way to do it is put in buy orders for 72’s at 25 each and I think the total cost is less than 10k per division to complete them all the way, I think it’s closer to 7k.

He's got a point. Why would you spend 350k+ on a pitcher that only hits 3 times every 4 or 5 games?

Not to mention the next packs will hold the remaining pcs for the collection and you can bet your asss those will add another 200k to the total. My guess is the collection will cost 500k. Not worth it when you already have a lienup full of high 90s for free.

I will definitely finish the collection, but there is no rush to do so.

Edit: if they make it to where he can play everyday left field and still pitch every 5 games then that would change my stance.

I personally will get him no matter what it just depends how much time it takes. He's a good pitcher and he'll be a beast those every 5 games he plays if he can't play in the field.

Yeah he will be good. So will all the other 99 pitchers. It's just a price thing for me. You can buy the top 5 pitchers on the market right now for the same price.

The other 99 pitchers still won’t be able to hit, that’s my point
