How is Soto in the OF?

Can’t tell if I want to keep him or sell him for 70k. His bat is so good but I just don’t was his defense costing me games.

Soto is a good hitter when a righty pitcher is on the mound. If you care about Defense, then yeah, put him on the bench and use him to clutch.

Soto is a good hitter when a righty pitcher is on the mound. If you care about Defense, then yeah, put him on the bench and use him to clutch.
That’s just such an expensive bench bat when I already have guys like Ortiz, Fielder, Walsh, and Devers that I already have and can’t sell. So it’s either start in LF or sell at this point.

Most likely, I got Vladdy from the Acuna program and I just need two more. You can also collect the home run derby as well.

Yeah but in a few months there will be hundreds of 99s, and that collection will be useless. I’ve learned that if there is a card you want to use, go get it now.

Last few posts you’re making the case yourself to sell. If you’re not chasing Ohtani immediately and are fine waiting, then sell now….price may go up but if packs drop unexpectedly in new content, he’ll only go down.

I’m actually in the minority in thinking OF defense isn’t that important. I use Bichette in LF and Blackmon in CF and I haven’t had many issues at all. People either hit it right at you or it’s a gap shot that no OF would track down. Very rarely is there ever a ball where I think “if he had a little better defense he would’ve got that”.

Only Dominguez has made some plays for me that I thought “wow I doubt there’s anyone else that’s getting to that.” He just makes the gap about 10-15% smaller depending on who his replacement is. But yea if they hit it on a line then you’re screwed no matter what however Dominguez has also won me two games with his arm too gunning guys at home who started at second and one that was tagging from 3rd. Not to mention I’ve hit the ball with Dominguez twice as hard then with guys who have 120+ power. He rakes for me!

I want to play you in RS. You’re rocking 4 lefties on your bench out of 5 slots. I’m assuming that you’re at least carrying a backup catcher. I love playing people who don’t take into account the handedness of their bench bats. You will get abused by good player if they recognize this.
