He gets 99 power, because Pedro gets 103mph, because if you win a batting contest you get 125 power, because contact hitters and pitch to contact pitchers don’t matter.

I get what you’re saying, but the season Walker is having in AA, as a 20 yo, is pretty special. Future Stars are real people - a lot of them will be stars…in the future lol. Sure, some of them won’t pan out, but I would bet Walker will be one of the ones that will.

Living in the middle of Cards Cubs country I ve seen countless games as a kids. Only HR I ever remember Ozzie hitting was his game 5 walkoff, Go Crazy Folks. That of course was off a right hander and barely cleared the fence. So not sure how they got power vs left. But to answer your second question, yes, most usable Ozzie card ever. Irl he was known for defense and speed and could slap the ball around the diamond and turn them into doubles. Playing on the old turf in St Louis definitely helped. So great person for sure gall of famer his skills just don't translate to dymond dynasty very well.
I never got to seen Ozzie play in person. I usually went to Yankees games; and of course, that was before inter league play. Which I disliked when the leagues used different rules. I have watched a young star pitcher lose his career because he had to hit, got on base, then ruined his leg running the bases. Though I am not here for that. Anyway, Ozzie was super athletic. Those backflips or whatever they are called were just fun and a sign of his energy and athleticism.

Just because someone played an inning or even a game somewhere, does not mean it was there secondary position and just because someone never plays a different position doesn’t mean they don’t have a secondary.
You can’t have it both ways, either they played it and have a secondary or they didn’t and they shouldn’t. There should be a cut off of innings or something 1 inning or 4 innings shouldn’t justify giving a secondary. Ripken’s finest doesn’t have a secondary and he was athletic enough to start and end his career at 3B.
I agree that it’s strange for Ripken not to have a third baseman secondary. It was a major factor in his longevity. He was a good playing at third.

Oh, I honestly forgot his card was a RF. Good point. I don’t use his card because I like more speed on my SS. People were complaining about Posada having a 2B, so I was only thinking of the LotF.

If being athletic enough to play other positions is the requirement then shouldn't every player have 1B as a secondary? Mo Vaughn played first base and I'm sure that every other MLB player is more athletic than him. Probably give every player the corner outfield secondary too.

Just consider Ozzie's card a Topps Now card for one of the games where he did hit a HR. I would say Game 5 of the 1985 NLCS but that was against a rightie.
I'd also venture to guess that the only people who will use this card are Cardinal fans who would prefer to use it on their theme team over a Future Star who has not played a game above AA yet.
You made an excellent point. Treat like a Now card. You’re also correct that it was off a right handed.
In terms of him being better vs left or right, SDS did at least get that right. In ‘85, the only HR Ozzie hit as a left handed batter the entire year, was the one in the playoffs. -

I know, I actually thought it was cool they put it out. I don’t think you will run into anyone using it though. However, I have heard sports commentators comparing him to Babe as the only other player to hit ?? HRs and pitch in a regular season game. Plus, I don’t know why people are upset that the LotF cards having secondary positions they didn’t play much (or barely ever.)

No but if they give everyone secondaries now they should’ve given Schwarber catcher secondary.
Morneau was a catcher and a goalie in hockey. Hopefully someone at SDS comes across this and they drop a 99 Morneau with 125 contact and 100 plus power against R/L along with the catcher secondary.
