Clarification on Alvarado and Scott Moonshot Cards
-
As many of you know, this week, we replaced the Jose Alvarado Moonshot Series card with the Tanner Scott Moonshot Series card and as a result, the community had some questions that we wanted to clarify.
-Earning Tanner Scott
-PXP Missions
-CollectionsEarning Tanner Scott
There’s some confusion around how to get the Tanner Scott Moonshot card. If you earned the Alvarado card before this change was made, you would not automatically have the Scott card in your inventory. To ease this confusion, we’re awarding the Scott card to all player accounts that already had Alvarado.
PXP Missions
Alongside this change, on Tuesday, we replaced the corresponding Alvarado PXP mission with one for the Tanner Scott card. This new PXP mission can be completed by all players for 5 Stars towards completing the Moonshot Program.
Collections
We’ve removed the Alvarado Moonshot card from the Moonshot Collection, so it will not count towards completion progress. This is to help minimize any potential future confusion. This means Scott simply replaces Alvarado in the Collection as one of the 41 cards you need to complete. Please note: There is no advantage to having both cards, and Alvarado cannot be acquired moving forward, nor given through Support requests.
Thank you!

Thanks for the resolution and clarification. I just looked and Scott is indeed in my Inventory

@SDS_JoeK_PSN Good job … especially explaining it in this detail

What I got out of this is that me pointing out that you could collect both ensured SDS would get flooded with support tickets asking for the swap and that wasn’t SDS’s intention.
Just like I pointed out the mass rating tanking that would occur for Weekend Classic all the way back on March 12 (https://forums.theshow.com/post/687968).
Perhaps SDS should actually communicate with the people that actually play your game regularly instead of just constantly emailing back & forth with content creators and they could then proactively address things instead of constantly end up scrambling to fix mistakes. But then again, maybe content creators that make people laugh by talking about their [censored] are just giving that valuable of feedback. I suppose it’s possible.
I guess I will get back to reporting players for boosting BR that you guys will ignore because I’m not a content creator and a content creator’s email is important, but enforcing your rules on people that have boosted 59 flawless rewards isn’t.

There’s no advantage to having both cards?
Uh, to me there is. I’d prefer Alvarado in general, and specifically with this moonshot event. Sucks that I have NO way of unlocking this, either through just giving everyone the card (owning a virtual card doesn’t equate to supporting PED’s) or at least with a ticket.

The lesson, kids...
Don't do drugs and this predicament can be avoided.

Why is the collection changed though it was 40 now we have to pay even more stubs to get Buxton

@Onekillerforce_PSN It was always 41 and never was 40.

They changed something because I was just Gwynn away from completing it and now even with Gwynn I cannot get Buxton -
@Onekillerforce_PSN Looking at the collection for me, it now says 40/41 when I already had 41. So, I guess they totally removed Alvarado from the collection. Looks like they removed Alvarado for everyone and gave them Scott, since I never asked to have him replaced. You probably already have Tanner Scott and need to collect him as well.
