Nobody's gonna beat that guy who bought like 700 Aaron Judge's at the beginning of MLB 17(Or whichever game it was when he went from near common to diamond)

I do it wrong and spread my money around too much. I have like 5 to 10 each of 7 of the new diamonds -- its obviously much more profitable to go hard into a couple cards.

I also have like 20 Ke'Bryan Hayes that i bought for like 100 stubs.....i should have bought 100.

Im learning by watching you guys make bank, tho.

    Cheers!

Somebody's gotta remind me to be one of these guys who place like a billion 1-2k buy orders on golds that end up going diamond

I don't do the investing thing that much on LS cards, but a sh*t ton of those orders end up going through, even after those cards go up a tier. Seems like super easy stubs

My best investment was an anti-investment lol. A month or two ago when Anthony Santander was heating up I bought about 300 of him for an average of 150 stubs or so. He was a 78 and I thought he could go gold if he kept it up. Over the past two weeks I sold all of them for an average of about 400 stubs. I felt like he was going to get downgraded, possibly even to bronze, and I wanted to get my money out. Man was that the right decision lol. He dropped to 75 today and he is selling around 100-150.

I invested in packs and lost a lot. Then again I have all the cards I want and there’s nothing to buy so there’s that.

im trying to understand how taylor rogers goes gold
    2 wins
    3 loses
    2.61 era
    7 saves
    6 holds
what am i missing that says this is good? help me understand

Because Wins, Losses, ERA, Saves and Holds have absolutely nothing to do with their ratings at all.

He has a 12.2 SO/9 rating which is excellent
He has a 1.5 BB/9 rating which is excellent.

Where he stumbles is his h/9 rating which is 8.7

Not slick at posting but I had been preaching and preaching about Ohtani. Had 388 of him at the end of may. When he didn’t go Diamond last time I unloaded 88 of him. Made out good then. Well, yeah. My first year playing and I can get anything I want the rest of the year I’m pretty sure. Gonna sound like one of those full of serious 💩 kind of guys but later in the day I pulled my 2nd trout out of that flash diamond pack sale this evening. Been a great day on the game. I also enjoy investing more than I do playing. Being relatively new I’m not sure how long these updates go on for and how long the market continues to boom but I’m currently betting on 5 others by purchasing at least 100 of each. I will never top my Ohtani’s though. I pretty much got all of those less than 2k and that’s being generous. I’m more of a football guy myself but I’ll probably buy an Ohtani jersey at some point.

how did my investment go? BAD!
richard rodriguez for the pirates, 78 silver, he had been a 5 on daily upgrade or whatever you call for sometime now and did not get an upgrade. Only card I had invested in and a lot....

IE doesn't really have anything to do with potential upgrades. It's only based on that days matchup history etc.

A couple of weeks ago there was some discussion on this forum about investments and I said I had invested in a low rated silver card with some upside that would most likely be overlooked by most people. I bought over 1300 of them throughout the weeks for next to nothing, spent less than 150 stubs a card. Today he turned gold which will absolutely be no surprise to anyone who follows baseball. My investment was no other than my fellow countryman Jonathan Schoop!

Anyone else made some good bank?

    Congrats my man!

I was just thinking, all those clicks must get tiresome. LOL Wish there was an easier way like the ability to group buys/sells for the same price instead of having to go through each one individually.

I’ve thought about that I think that would ruin the market. Placing the bids individually is the only way.

    Huh? That makes no sense.

What's the difference between placing an offering buy price 100 times at the same price individually for the same card vs. placing an offering price for 100 cards of the same card at the same price in one grouped transaction? There's no difference except of how much time you would be saving.

So how would that ruin the market? LOL

You just answered the question. If it was less tedious everyone would do it. And the people with the most stubs could instantly cancel outbid you buy 1 stub 10,000 times. And the people who buy stubs, because they can and value their free time, wouldn’t have a deterrent and would stop spending cash. This would halt the market because there is a limit on free packs.
