Why is this in the game? Someone from SDS explain this? Why not just always have the pitches show in screen. Just be honest you leave stuff like this in here to cater into the losers that want to play cheesy.
Stop quick pitching
There is no such thing as quick pitching in this game. Either you’re ready or you’re not. Pitchers dictate the pace of play.
Wth you talking about their is definitely quick pitching. And I don’t press r2 other than the first batter or so to see the pitches, then I won’t
"Quick pitching" implies pitching before a batter is even settled in and ready. A real thing in real baseball, but not in a video game. If it's so bad, then call time or pause. Much better than R2ing and throwing off a pitcher.
No in game quick pitching is selecting a pitch before batter can use any option available, like R3 R2 or a practice swing for there batter. Once a pitch is selected the batter cannot use those options at all. Therefore people hit R2 so they can check how fielders are setup.
Not the Majority of them.

I dont know what planet yall live on where the pitcher dictates the pace of play lol, do you even watch baseball, as a serial r2er idgaf about your breaking animation, balking cry baby attitude, the batter dictates when he is ready to be pitched to just like irl, you wanna take r2 away and balk home 7 runs a game, im down for that too
Do you watch baseball tell me what pitcher ever balk with no one on base.

Also funny how most R2 holders have it so we can't message them. They can't handle the smoke, bunch of babies who never even played HS ball.
Are you friggin kidding. You try quick pitching a baseball team in real life, and they'll have their dugout on you. They don't like it, and neither do I. Frankly, they should put balks back on, and then this wouldn't be happening. Put on balks, and get rid of R2 (although it does show your confidence level).
With no runners on base there is no balks, no this would not stop.
Would be a ball though.
No it wouldn't, Once the ump is ready and allows the pitcher to pitch it does not matter where the batter is standing.

Listen first this is a video game, The people who spam R2 to mess up pitching timing is the issue. even if you are not QP people still hold R2. Let it ago and push it over and over and over again. The problem are the users who do it to mess up timing because they suck at hitting. pushing it at the start of an at bat fine, but to push and hold for every pitch QP or not is a problem. R2 should only be allowed once an at bat that is it. To those who say QP is a problem for them , the fix is a 2 second delay, It takes me 2 second to select my pitch and the location. The slide stepping I do not see it that much used against me and I never Slide step. I have no need to. The speed runners will be safe even on Pitchouts at least Lofton is. You can call timeout in this game and step out of the box. You can pause and look at pitcher history of an at bat and more.

Yes, but if the pitcher isn't on the rubber, a balk, it is an illegal pitch and ruled a ball

I use it first at bat maybe the second of the game or when a new pticher is in bc if its someone I havent faced before I like seeing what pitches are ablee to be thrown or velocity. the valenzela boss or whatevver is someone I had no idea who he was so yeah I hold r2 at the begining and see ok screwball thats slow etc or if the guy has a variant like chapman has an event pitcher now and diamond who have different pitches.
people complaining about quick pitching still eludes me, like you joined the game how are you not ready to hit some baseballs. its not like real life where they can change their wind up or pace and go faster to quick pitch, like put your phone down or hit pause if youre busy

I know what it is in real life, In this game there is no balks, with no runners on even if there were balks. Pitchers are always on the rubber or touching the rubber when pitching. I did pitch all through High School, I watch thousands and thousands of baseball games, I do not think putting balks in this game for online play is the solution. A 2 or 3 second between pitches should satisfy those who do not like the QP. that 2 second delay is before the pitcher selects the pitch, turnoff R2 once the pitcher select the pitch, That should solve this issue.

Me: I'm noticing a lot fewer server issues than we had at the beginning of the year, and for the most part everyone seems happy with gameplay. Maybe the board will be positive for once.

Think I just ran into my first R2 spamming opponent - - first time I’ve noticed it anyway. Dude also bunted like 5 times in BR game. I use pulse to pitch so I don’t really understand what effect the R2 has, was still a pretty satisfying 4-0 beating. Who are these ppl that try to pull this [censored]? Have a little self respect ffs

Try having someone bunt dancing, spamming R2 and messaging you to throw it in the zone. In a ranked seasons game, R2 needs to be limited.

Everything about this post is incorrect, but it is enough to tell your just a troll. Pitcher has the ball in hand which is why he dictates the pace of play. He chooses when he throws the ball. Hitter has no real say in pace of play, pitcher can step off whenever he wants, hitter can only step out and call time if granted by the umpire. Pitcher dictates how quickly he pitches after coming set, he can hold the set a long time to ice the hitter, or pitch the moment he establishes his set. He can choose to pick off a runner just to ice the hitter longer. I’ve seen guys pick over 4-5 times in a row just to ice the hitter in a key moment. So how exactly does hitter dictate pace of play again? By calling time and stepping out of the box “only if granted by the umpire”, that’s sure seems like the ump has more control over pace than the hitter does, and nowhere near as much as the pitcher....

Only once the batter steps in. Batter can take as much time as he likes to go for a stroll, take a swing or two, and step back in.

Here we go again.
If everyone came set before pitching, it would be much less of a problem. You guys saying quick pitching doesn’t exist in the game are probably slide stepping with Kenley Jansen. With no runners on base pitcher does not have to come set. Some of you do not know baseball. Once the ump is ready the pitcher can pitch it is up to the batter to call time out. As long as a player can hold R2. Pitcher should be able to step off the mound. People will push it then let go and push it again and repeat this and then they will start bunt dancing. I use meter so it is just annoying. Can mess up timing.
Obviously he doesn’t have to come set when pitching out of the windup, but he can’t just toe the rubber and throw like that glitched Kenley animation. He still has to start from the windup position, facing the batter.

So in essentially a dead ball period where there is no play actually going on? And this actually isn’t the case, big league hitters have some leeway but umpires will crack down on hitters for taking to long and well tell them to get in the box. Most levels of amateur baseball have implemented pace of play rules that make umpires crack down on the 1 foot in the box rule. High school is the most strict and umpires immediately tell players to keep a foot in the box at all times when receiving signs. I’ve seen many guys try and take their sweet time doing what your talking about, then the ump gets on them to get in the box, then the guy does it again, ump gets on him again, and then magically the strike zone gets bigger. Never seen an umpire tell a pitcher to throw a pitch tho...

What i'm explaining is an exploit period! You have no difinitive proof if majority or minority use it. And if you do provide the proof, not just because you say it's so.

A good cure is to use a guy with a crazy long wind up and delivery and literally bore the player to death.

Not what's happening when R2 is being pressed/flicked/spammed. Everything just freezes. These analogies are such stretches because no one wants to admit that R2 doesn't really simulate anything in a game of baseball. It's not calling time, it's not the batter going for a stroll, and it isn't even the batter holding up his hand getting into the box because R2 can be flicked or pressed later in the at-bat (several times between pitches in my experience pitching). R2 is quite simply a game feature (not a gameplay feature) and its exploitative worth is superior to its feature content, judging by how often and when it's used.
