I don’t think mantle qualifies for that man. It sucks that injuries hurt him so much, but it’s what happened. I’d say:
Ruth
Mays
Aaron
Williams
I can understand Bonds in place of Williams, but personally his steroid usage knocks him down for me.Yeah I understand, very true.
The fact that Bonds never hit 50 home runs in a season except for the year he hit 73 just cries roids and cheating IMHO

Ruth, Cobb, Bonds, Mays, and Aaron are the top 5 in career WAR for position players. Also in the top 20 are Williams, Musial, Honus, ARod, and Ricky Henderson.
I'd vote Ruth, Mays, Aaron, and Williams. I think Bonds was better than all but Ruth though

Ruth
Mays
Williams
Joe Kelly -

Joe KellyJoe Kelly belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of dudes who [censored] their pants when Carlos Correa approaches them. Mike Fiers can be on it too because I think its suspect that he didn't throw a single pitch to any Astro in 2020

If I were to look up stats, then I’m sure my list would be similar to the above, but I like doing Mt. Rushmore lists by eras. For 1980s and beyond, my My Rushmore stands:
Junior
Vlad Sr.
Ichiro
Maddux
PedroYes, loads of favoritism on this list, I know.

For me it would be Ted Williams, Barry Bonds, Willie Mays and Bartolo Colon.

Ted Williams has to be on there. IMO he's without question the greatest hitter of all time. If he doesn't lose almost 5 full seasons to military service he would've almost undoubtedly been the all-time leader in walks, runs, and RBI, with somewhere around 700 HRs, 700 2B, and 3500 hits (yes, I know this assumes he stayed healthy). What's even more impressive is his numbers didn't decline one iota after the league integrated- the man posted a 1.257 OPS in 1958 at 38 years old. You can make a case that he could've put up similar numbers if he were playing right now. He was just that good.

It's real hard to hit homers when you're getting intentionally walked 120 times a year.
-
Ruth Robinson Paige Shoeless Joe Jackson
-
Bonds griffey Ruth Aaron
-
I think you gotta have Gehrig, Gibson, Johnson, and Rivera on there, but you might get pushback on the last one.
-
I don’t see Hornsby on anyone’s list. Which makes sense, as he’s one of the most underrated players of all time. He might crack my top 4.
-
- Ruth 2. Mays. the rest is debatable.
Williams, Aaron, Cobb, Bonds, Pujols, Griffey, Trout.

With all due respect, he was intentionally walked 120 times in a year once in 2004.

Mays, Mantle, Williams, Clemente, Ruth
