POTM Bellinger grind

LeMahieu was a pain, those power stats are deceptive. Felt like I was swing a strand of spaghetti most of the time. Somehow I finished with my controller intact

It’s really easy
Look. Occasionally, you’ll get a couple pitches down the pipe that will actually have a good result. In those cases, yes, it’s easy.
Unfortunately, most of the time, Charlie Morton seems to prefer going to a three ball count, then throws a dot, then ball four.
It’s not easy, dude. Even when you get good contact, there’s the good/ok to the track or the line drive into the shift.
It has nothing to do with easy.
So, swing on ball four so it becomes strike two. Foul dots off until you get a good pitch. If a walk doesn't help, don't take one.
That’s not the point. As I pointed out in another post, Charlie Morton has a strike percentage of 63% over his entire career. It’s on veteran difficulty.
If these missions need to be more challenging, that is fine. Just make it a higher difficulty, instead of manipulating the at bats.

That's completely the point. You were upset that he walks you, so swing. Use directional hitting, it will allow you to beat most of his missions in one or two tries.

Working on Zunino right now. I am not a good online player so the online stats have been the hardest for me. Got matched up with someone who was equally bad and didn't pitch Kluber/Hightower. Got him for 4 runs and 3 hits in the first. He quit 3 innings later before I could get anymore stats. Then got matched against Kluber 2 straight games. All in all it took me 21 online innings to get the 10 hits. Also took forever to hit a homer with Zunino in one of the moments. Getting the 35000 exchange is now what is holding me back from advancing because the prices are so high for the gold catchers. Hoping I can get to stage 2 tonight.
Took me 2 event games to get the 10 hits with Mariners. Why go into Ranked when there’s an event going that guarantees you won’t face any pitcher higher than a bronze?
To be honest didn't even think about that, because I never play events. I prefer to play the computer. I will get on an online roll every now and then though. I

I just started and im struggling with the Zunino moments because I cant hit with really low vision guys I'll get it eventually though

I’m not upset that he walked me. I am frustrated with cpu pitcher strike slider adjustments behind the scenes.
I just did the Josh James one first try. Why? Because he was throwing fastballs in so I cheated on one and blooped a double to right and got a first pitch cookie for a bomb.
If I have to switch to directional to complete a moment, imo there is a problem.

Cheating inside helped me get that one.

The only part I find "hard" about the POTM grinds this year is the pitcher ones. On All-Star, even with perfect release, you get center meatballs that get crushed and there goes that "don't give up 1 run" requirement.
Hitting moments are easy enough. I even like that there are not too many multi-game moments.
The pitcher ones I feel most confident in doing. Overall I'm glad they did do a 97 Bellinger after many here thought they wouldn't, and I'll absolutely end up grinding these out for it.
-
DJ has been walked 7 times between the 4 total bases one and the 3 hits. One. I hate this and want to punch my monitor. CPU wont give me pitches to hit when they do i send a 101 mph ball directly to somebody.
-
Only one that got me was the 1st pitching 1 someone homered with 2 strike outs to go but done it next try. Never really got though any as quick. Well it wasn't quick overall I just meant first tries but I was absolutely Peds up on alcohol and caffeine and was determined to get it done asap lol

Patience and working the count finally got it done for me, if you can time his fastball it's very hittable when it's a strike. He just pitches really fast and his command is awful.

Funny, I couldn't hit Jose Berrios worth a [censored] for like 12+ tries. Big spread between his 81 mph offspeed and mid-90s FBs.
Patience is key with Berrios, I got him to a 3-1 count and he put one right down the middle, I destroyed it. 445 upper deck bomb. It was one of those homeruns where every player on the other team just hangs there head (fielders didn't move for it)

People have been using directional to beat moments for YEARS. That's how the majority of the content creators, and myself, completed all the moments extreme last year.

I'm gonna start the grind tonight, don't know how far I'll get. I'm at silver 98, so I should be able to add Bellinger and Reggie for the event in the next couple days.

Best of luck, I'm starting in on Agular's moments when I get home. Could be a long night.

I’m aware. I’ve done this myself on occasion.
That doesn’t excuse the shortcomings of the game in my mind.
Honestly, my only disagreement with your comments is that I don’t think we should just accept and make the best of the gameplay. After so many years and the same problems, I think we need to say enough is enough.

I think June POTM has been very reasonable. Earlier this week, I stocked up on a bunch of cards for exchanges (and I guessed mostly right somehow), so I can get the easy points on all 4 stages. I’ve been playing a lot of vs CPU games recently anyway to grind stage 2 TA, so that’s another easy 5 points. And so far the moments have been surprisingly easy.
I’m probably going to get Bellinger either tonight or tomorrow afternoon. And that’s just going at a very casual pace.
Define "a very casual pace"

Are you aware that vision is only the outer pci ring (helping foul off pitches) this year. The contact rating effects the main pci size.

Thanks, feel like I'm gonna need it. Maybe it is just that they all dropped at once, but this program looks daunting. Oh well, gotta start somewhere. Good luck to you as well!

My best advice with the Zunino moments is to have lots of patience, take out the multi game first, lots of pitches are going to be off the strike zone just wait for one at the letters or a bit higher Zunino has a lot of power.
