@samguenther1987_PSN SDS, please listen to your customer feedback and shut down the app. It's just pure cheating.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN Enjoy that, but I'm not even renewing my PSN online anymore when it expires in 5 weeks. Online gaming in general is [censored].

@go4stros25_PSN Online mode is unplayable, and full of cheaters. The smart users have all moved offline only. In fact, smart users won't buy this game yearly and just opt out of using Diamond Dynasty altogether, and play the none-live service elements to this game. I play to keep MLB the Show for 3-5 years and just play regular season modes, or couch co-op with people at home.

@go4stros25_PSN Sorry mate, but yeah. Only way to get 500,000 xp is pretty much having no outside life. Hurts your fee fees or not, it's pretty much spot on the truth.

  • Not okay SDS
  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

I've just stopped playing ranked online matches at this point. I'm a fully offline player now. Probably not buying the game in future years either. Will just play offline modes with this copy for 3-5 years to come. Cheaters will eventually hit SDS in the pocket book as they lose their REAL player base.

  • Market Bots
  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

They aren't idiots for reducing prices by 500. In fact that's smart tactic to push prices lower to buy. I always put in 5 buy orders after intentionally bringing down the selling price by undercutting the lower selling bids by 500 stubs or so. Usually I can bait a seller to fall for it, and to keep outbidding me, pushing the price down to where I buy the 5 cards for cheap. Then withhold my selling card, and the price creeps up.

  • Is It Just Me Or Is Hitting Way Easier This Year?
  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

Hitting easier? I've played about 50 games against the CPU so far on rookie setting, and maybe have a total of 10 or 11 hits total in those 50 games.

I'm a sports video game collector, so I generally buy all sports games that release on all major consoles. Thanks for the info though. I do have separate gamer tags on each console, but they are both linked to the same TheShow.com ID that I am using here.

If I buy both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X MVP Editions, can I double dip on the rewards/stubs/packs for the same MLB The Show account? Like what I want to know is do I get the 10 MLB The Show packs, 10K stubs, etc. twice? Also the MVP Edition gives you 2x the daily login bonus, so if I have the game on both consoles, would I in effect get quadruple (4x)daily login bonus?

No. Because you can only be logged into one account at a time.

Last year, I used the same DD team on both Xbox and PlayStation. This game is supposed to support cross-console progression, and I already have my PS5 and Xbox accounts linked to my TheShow profile. I guess there is no point in getting the MVP edition on both consoles.

  • When did MLB The Show First come out with Steelbooks?

Iirc 15 was the first year.

Thank you, I can't find any Steel Book Edition from before The Show 15. I guess I do have them all.

The anime cover is imo a perfect representation for Ohtani being the coverboy. It literally screams Japan, if anything the anime cover should have been the standard.

I'm by no means into the Anime scene whatsoever, but I too agree this cover fits Ohtani's theme.

  • How to upgrade to Collector’s Edition
  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

I thought they weren't doing a Collectors version this year? Do you mean the MVP Edition, or the Collector's Edition (that usually came with a hat)?

@tangojuliet24 said in Physical MVP Edition - No hat?:

Did they ever give a reason? Is there another version (collector’s edition) coming out at a later date?

SDS FAQ page...First question in the MVP Edition section!

It's still sad. I have each hat displayed with the Steelbook on my shelf. It was a nice collection. I love The Show 22's Steelbook look this year, but without the hat to go along with it, I am leaning towards playing it with Game Pass.

  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

I have been collecting this game with the Steelbook Edition for a few years now. I have every version of the Steelbook since MLB The Show 15, but I can't seem to find the earlier versions of this game with the Steelbook. Is MLB The Show 15 the first year they came out with a Steelbook? I couldn't find any information on this online.

I'm just sad about there not being a Physical Collectror's edition that comes with a physical hat. I was collecting these.

  • Physical MVP Edition - No hat?
  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

I'm disappointed in there being no hat as well. It was the reason I looked forward to buying the physical MVP edition. With no hat, I might as well just play this game on Xbox Game Pass for no additional cost to me.

There was a guy who posted a week ago that RBI was better. We laughed him off these forums.

    Na not really.

Well one game you can actually play 24/7 and the other you can't almost nightly and weekends.

What all offline modes you can play 24/7 nice try

There are no "offline" modes in the Show 21. Even RTTS and MTO require a connection to the server to get credit for progress. And even so, if half of your game is unplayable, it means

  • WoozyPolarBear_MLBTSW WoozyPolarBear_MLBTS

Game Pass isn't free...it's a subscription service that I have paid real money for. Same with Netflix, I pay them monthly. I have just as much right to complain about or praise a game I paid for on Game Pass as any other consumer does.
