@YOSHI24_XBL I’m not sure if I did a good enough job expressing it, but there is some good that comes out of the seasons, as you mentioned. I just think there are better compromises to be made with the transitions.

What about a spur RS that allows you to have a mixed lineup, sort of like how it’s done with 1v1 and co op?

I mentioned this in another post… can we have a weekly or bi-weekly XP limit instead of daily? That way you’re still able to level the playing field with those who grind daily as opposed to someone who may only get a weekend or a few days out of the week to really put the nose to the grindstone.

I would really love to have that 99 Griffey, but what’s my incentive? Having him in my lineup for a week or so? You can “wild card” all you want, but does that contribute to TA and program progress?

Here’s my idea for ranked…
We have Co-op.
We have single player.

Let’s add another version of Ranked where you can play with any season lineup.

As intentional as I have been with spending, I’m really regretting the $80 I spent on the game (bought a $100 PS gift card at Costco for $80)

And then stupid PS+… this is my first year playing on PS5. Played PS4 previously and somehow never had to pay for PS+. Or someone else was paying for it, but I surely wasn’t.

I made a lineup, collected all the cornerstone bosses. That’s about it. Didn’t even play a game.

I haven’t posted in the forum like I have in years past. But I felt compelled to share some constructive criticism.

I have actually somewhat enjoyed gameplay this year. It has felt more input driven than any other year I’ve played… in my opinion.

Content is good and awful at the same time. 99 Walker? 99 Rollins? 99 Chipper, and a 99 Griffey? The hyper cards played well.

On the other hand… what incentive do I have to unlock these season 2 cats? And why do I want to go back and unlock a bunch low-rated diamonds that aren’t really new or fresh?

And then I’ll be in the same boat where I put in all that work for no play.

For example, and I’m sure I’m not the only one, George Brett got unlocked for me and I maybe played 1 online game with him.
Rollins and Walker had 0 Ranked Seasons appearances. The rest of the season 1 collection and XP bosses were absolutely not in the lineup.

They hide them behind all this XP and collections… can we do something with XP caps? I agree with having them to an extent, but can we tweak it a little? Instead of daily, could it not be weekly?

Wild card slots, you kidding me? You throw out all these dudes in season 1, and I may be able to work a couple in by the time season 2 is done, but I look at it being the same exact situation as season 1.

This is why I’m turned off by the game. My wife worked a 12 hour shift yesterday, and I sat at home and didn’t touch it.
I’ll play a game, and just feel tired of it before it’s completed. I just don’t feel incentivized to play when the cards I work for get devalued.

Again, gameplay, I haven’t had too bad of an experience. But my main beef is this… why do I want to grind all this much for boss cards when I MIGHT play with them once or twice?

I got an around the world choice pack from the Ranked Seasons program. Pulled and picked Trout.
My last wheel spin, I got another around the world choice pack. It ghosted.

I’m with a lot of people on here. I sold my WBC guys to complete a couple of collections. Pulling Ohtani alone out of a chase pack finished the AL west for me.

Does it include these dudes from the MLB series 989 Studios produced (the predecessor to SDS)?

Anyways… I’m only going to play 1 or 2 games (when ncaa comes out). I’ll usually bang out the programs at the beginning and over the summer before high school football really begins to ruin my schedule.

Just confirming, you do have to have game pass or Xbox live for Diamond Dynasty, correct? Is it worth it over the long run to renew game pass or live versus just getting a PS5?

Help me weigh out my odds to see about buying a series S or just shelling out the money for a PS5.

Yes need xbox live or gamepass, gamepass is 150% worth the money if you want to play this game and have the option to play about 150 others. I usually own every console, but I won’t go back to Sony after getting gamepass.

Double XP and stub sale… I would buy now if you think he’s low enough. Isn’t that usually when live series 90+ Get a little more expensive?
Who knows… maybe he’ll drop since he had a drop in attributes.

I know that this is going to appear to some as just another Phillies rant, but I 100% agree with you on questioning their roster updates. Through the entire month of June Kyle Schwarber was one of the best players in baseball and went from a 75 to... a 76 lmao. There are just some players that they love and some that they don't. Look at how long Sandy Alcantara has taken to reach his deserved diamond status

In their defense in July so far Alvarez is batting .226 and only .125 in the last week and he lost some contact numbers because of it.

There are plenty of questionable upgrades and downgrades for sure, I mean Harrison Bader was downgraded by 2 points and he has not played since June 25th.

To a certain extent we kind of brought this on ourselves. Everybody wants their favorite player upgraded when they have been hot for only a few weeks but then nobody wants them downgraded when the reverse is true.

I am as guilty of it as anyone else. Rooting for updates for my favorite players but at this stage, even my Cardinals theme team only uses 2 live series position players (Goldschmidt and Molina). Live series cards are almost obsolete at this point anyway. Is anyone who cares that much about Alvarez using the Live series card over the POTM card?

Michael Harris at one point was 4th in WAR during the time period between his debut and 5 days ago behind Goldschmidt, Dansby, and Arenado…
Dansby should have gotten more than a +1
Harris’s arm strength is at a 65 and his fielding is a 50-something and a 73 overall… or is it the next update when they upgrade/downgrade defensive attributes? Dude has been on a tear too.
