That speed doesn't exist, no way to please everybody.

But how do you know? People will only oppose because they prefer what they're used to, they're afraid to try new things. Imagine a top 20 player opposing the idea of universal pitch speeds of All-Star as we know it now, but this player only takes into account the speeds with the giant PCI as we know it now. There's no way for anyone to accurately assess the speeds when the new PCI size and area of solid contact is implemented. That's when stick skills will really start to matter.

Also, imagine how more dominant pitchers like Maddux will be. The pitch speeds won't be as fast, but on HOF and Legend your margin of error with the PCI will be so tiny, it will be a tremendous challenge. I believe THAT should be the challenge in this game, not the ability to swing asap gambling fastball and pull a homer on a non-PCI early swing.

As a general rule, it's impossible to please everybody, no matter what that thing is. That is of course does not mean nothing should ever be done, but there isn't a "perfect' speed.

Well I agree there is no such thing as perfection, but I'm not arguing for perfection. I'm arguing for change.

When you play an event on HOF the pitching speed feels diff than RS HOF… I think the pitching speed on HOF events is the perfect universal pitching speed

And most content creators I watch that play this game play on PS5 and they are cracked

Bottom line is if you can play this game well you will play good on a PS5 or an Xbox

If you’re trash on PS5/PS4- buying a xbox, the most expensive monitor and the best glasses in the world is not going to miraculously make you Weens and you will ultimately probably still be bad but also out of an extra $1500

If you’re good on ps5 and you want to tweak or get a little advantage then by all means buy an xbox

Thanks for turning on 120hz for offline. That was a good first step, yet when are you going to enable it for online??

The 120hz reduced my input lag in half on my LG CX (10.9ms at 4k@60 and 5.9ms at 4k@120). Now just need 120hz running anytime, all the time, offline and online. So, when is 120hz going to be turned on online? I suspect it will require all of your cloud servers to be rebooted. Feel free to reboot them anytime, as playing the game at 120hz is incredible....like I said it would be when I originally posted about asking about this over a year ago.

Not having 120 online too, makes playing the game hard as the timing windows are now very different. Let's not punish us players who spent $$$ on systems that support 120hz ..... and please enable 120hz for online play ASAP.

No, it wasn't enabled before. System-wide you could put the Xbox on 120hz, but it didn't mean the game would abide by that (it could override it). Yesterday was the first time I saw 120hz at the game level this year (although I saw it last year as well during one particular release).

The game just allowed 120hz yesterday, because of the PS5 VRR patch that just got released this week. 120hz on the Xbox wasn't allowed to be enabled because even though the Xbox could do it, they didn't want the Xbox version to play better than the PS5 version, so it just got turned on yesterday, at the same time due to the Sony VRR patch coming out.

This whole thing is so effing confusing and SDS really needs to speak on it-

So according to you Xbox users have not been playing @ 120HZ online?

Because everyone in the MLB show community has been saying otherwise for the past day and a half

PS5 users are actually buying Xbox’s as we speak because of it lol

Look, I'm a software and hardware engineer. I have been saying that the Xbox Series X is way better than the PS5 for over a year, based on reading the specs (and knowing the software in each system). The game runs better on Xbox than it does the PS5 (I've played the game on the PS4, PS5 , Xbox One S and Xbox Series X).... and it plays better without a doubt on the Xbox. It has to do not only with the Xbox Series X hardware being better, yet also because the software on the Xbox is better than the software on the PlayStation, which is just a fact (the Xbox software is much more modern and also has much better driver support than the PlayStation software).

Now, that said, I have not seen the 120hz enabled online, just saw it (it is very noticeable) offline. Would need screen captures from others to show them online and the 120hz readout from their monitor, yet I haven't seen it 120hz online yet, just offline.

The important point that you have brought up, whether correct or incorrect, is that you’re saying 120HZ is not available online for Xbox in this game.

There are tons of people that are saying it is and they have been jumping out of windows a la Great Depression and buying Xbox’s at alarming rates to get an advantage at the plate in mlb the show lol…

All I’m saying is it should be clarified what is actually going on so people are clear on what they want to do next.

I’m not buying an Xbox but I’m speaking for others that have already stated they are or have already made the purchase

And plus a lot of ppl are saying Xbox ppl have an advantage online bc of the 120hz- again not from my experience bc most of the good ppl I play are in PS5 but idk

So long post short- it’s just very confusing to see these conflicting statements from diff ppl and SDS should make a statement

Hitting really hasn't changed IMO. The diving catches are a bit of a bummer, but in comparison to the last few years where you had a real shot at a diving play and the player would just melt onto the ground--thats a wash.

Same here- it’s also playing very well for the people I watch online play because they have records of 153-20 mostly and are ranked top in the world.

I’ve never been on a forum that’s focused on a game but I’m starting to see a trend here

People lose get upset and come one here and post/rant about how the game is broken

I watched it and he lost 12-11 so how is it broke? He hit tanks and scored 11 runs…
I’m sure if he won 12-11 he’d be singing a different tune

I have a rotation of Degrom, Ohtani, Verlander, Burnes and Ryan. Verlander has been getting hit around lately. Degrom is like all or nothing. I think he had a 14k game, allowed 3 hits but they were all homers. I kind of like Burnes, Ohtani has been a surprise for me. Anyone else I should be using? Why must every sports game just flood the platform with 99 everything, juiced out of their mind players? People don’t even need to square up a ball to hit a tank, it’s pointless.
