    After my last temper tantrum when nobody would answer me, I deleted the game from my PS5. Once I saw they addressed the issue and made an update early this morning, I reinstalled the game. After it's completely installed, you're prompted with the difficulty levels, etc. You're also given a screen that says the server data is different from your local file data. I selected server data and everything showed up again.

    Of course, this was after I saw that logging in to the show website with my PSN info now showed all my stubs and stuff (before it was wiped away). So, now everything is there for my PSN account, The Show account and nothing on XBOX. I'm assuming if I link the XBOX account it'll bring everything in there, but I'm in no rush to do that.

    Their site and system is all sorts of messed up, when I log into theshow.com with my MLB login it shows ONLY my MLB is connected and "current session" for both Xbox an PSN it shows they are NOT CONNECTED.

    If I login with either my XBOX ID or my PSN ID those both show XBOX and PSN connected but MLB is NOT CONNECTED.

    It's like a "the chicken and the egg riddle", which comes first?

    Same here my friend. Good thing the people here at SDS have taken a second out of their day to say "Hi, we're working on it, and we're sorry". Oh, they haven't?? Thanks a lot!!! Yes, I'm starting to lose it.

    Just want to comment on the "you could lose your progress" thing. I believe when it says that, it means your MLBTSO account will overwrite what is on your local Playstation or Xbox. That is the "progress" you would lose. Not that it ever works anyway, it's just how I've been perceiving that warning. Please tell me if you guys are taking that differently. That is what makes sense to me.

    All my progress is currently on my MLBTS account. I have absolutely nothing on my PS4 as of right now as it's unlinked. If I overwrite what's on my PS4 (again, nothing) with my MLBTS account, my stuff could be possibly be restored to my PS4 if it worked? That's how I would perceive that. Any thoughts?

    Because of what we've all been through, I don't think any of us have confidence to guess what might happen if you go that route. But, we will say give it a shot and let us know how it goes! 😆

    My stuff got wiped from the website, PS5 and XBOX but for whatever reason shows up on my PS4. I'm beyond a loss for words.

    Same here! I stared at that unlink button for an hour last night, really wanted to hit it, but I couldn't think of a way that it'd make sense in fixing things because the PS5 still shows as linked (to what, I don't know). This needs to be resolved or at least addressed today.

    This! Mi consoles (PS5 and XBox) are finally "unlinked" in theshow website, I did not do anything from last night. Im affraid by that "erase content" warning.
    Right now im playing on the PS4 version that has no problmems and shows all my stuff and progress.

    The sad part is I played a bit with the PS4 version last night and couldn't even tell a difference between that and the PS5. LOL.

    Same here, just because I'm out of options I installed the PS4 version last night and everything is there. Deleted the PS5 version, reinstalled and still nothing. I also don't have anything showing on my account through TheShow's website. Went through support chat and of course they don't know anything. How hard is it to just put a half assed statement out there and say something about it SDS? @Adam_SDS_PSN @Victor_SDS_PSN @Pat_SDS_PSN @Collin_SDS_PSN

    Spent even more time this morning going through the PlayStation support chat. This is what I was told:

    "After doing a further research I noticed that MLB the Show already confirm there has been some users experiencing this type of issues; however they are already working on a fix to have this sorted out as soon as possible."

    They also declined my request for a refund. Basically every incentive we had for pre-ordering the game has been wasted. Not everyone wants their money back, and if SDS would just respond with an update say "Sorry, we're working on it, we screwed up" then I wouldn't either. You know the service is bad when I'm googling how to start one of those stupid petitions or the costs associated with a class action lawsuit. Seriously, SDS, put us out of our misery already.

    My PSN and Xbox are finally unlinked on my Show account, which I think is a positive sign. If I try to link my PSN on my Show account I still get the "platform exclusivity" error, but at least everything is unlinked now I guess!

    I'm cautiously optimistic. Seeing that I have all my data in the PS4 version of the game gives me home that they just need to tie everything in together. Hopefully it gets fixed by tomorrow, I really need to focus on my work, lol.

    After sending screenshots and describing in excruciating detail what is actually going on when we try to Link/Unlink accounts, I got an acknowledgement response. "The team is aware of this issue and is currently working to resolve this"

    At this point an acknowledgment is better than we were getting, kind of. Who knows what a fix, if any, will be, but hey....progress?

    An acknowledgement of the issue at least keeps our sanity for the time being. Thanks for the update!

    Whatever you do, don't link any of your accounts. I've lost all my digital deluxe pre-order content and all progress I made by trying to link Xbox to PlayStation. SDS will send you to PSN Support, and they'll tell you there's nothing they can do for you. If you're getting stuck in a vicious cycle of trying to unlink your accounts and being forced to log back in, you aren't alone. There's also no way to unlink your account in-game on either console. SDS hasn't said a word about any of this either, so just avoid the issue altogether if you can, but if you're here, it's probably too late.

    That was a great experience for me too...

    Me: "I want a refund, the game doesn't work and all my pre order bonuses were removed"
    SONY: "We can't refund, you downloaded the game"
    Me: "Right, and what I paid for was removed"
    SONY: "We could only refund you if you didn't download the game"
    Me: "I wouldn't be asking for a refund unless I had this terrible experience"
    SONY: "We could have helped if you contacted us before downloading the game"

    Between that and getting no response from SDS about how to fix the problem, I might just go back to playing RBI Baseball on my Sega. Somebody get me off this roller coaster. LOL.
