If nothing else, this launch taught me that paying extra to play a few days early and have a little head start on stubs is not worth the time wasted in trying to make it all work properly. I've played this series from the beginning and have always rolled my eyes at the people complaining at launch because I hadn't experienced those issues -- until this year. Well, it all makes sense to me now!

Same here! I stared at that unlink button for an hour last night, really wanted to hit it, but I couldn't think of a way that it'd make sense in fixing things because the PS5 still shows as linked (to what, I don't know). This needs to be resolved or at least addressed today.

it gives you the option of which account to pick. if you pick the console that stays primary, if you pick mlb the show website then it resets your account. you have to unlink and you should get your inventory back
How do you unlink? I'm having the same experience as plaxus said above with being stuck in a loop.
I’m in the same loop. Posted on other threads, Reddit, discord, tweeted at them and submitted a ticket. Lost everything, and on top of it, we are unable to get the day 5 Giambi unlock, etc until fixed. Not to mention missed daily rewards.
Wouldn't it be nice to, at the very least, have some sort of post or tweet from them saying they are aware of the issue and working on a fix? Just horrible.

After my last temper tantrum when nobody would answer me, I deleted the game from my PS5. Once I saw they addressed the issue and made an update early this morning, I reinstalled the game. After it's completely installed, you're prompted with the difficulty levels, etc. You're also given a screen that says the server data is different from your local file data. I selected server data and everything showed up again.
Of course, this was after I saw that logging in to the show website with my PSN info now showed all my stubs and stuff (before it was wiped away). So, now everything is there for my PSN account, The Show account and nothing on XBOX. I'm assuming if I link the XBOX account it'll bring everything in there, but I'm in no rush to do that.

I am having the same issue as all above.
On my PS, I bought the $100USD version, had no issues even linking to The Show site. Added XB today via Game Pass, it wiped all my PS stuff. I don't see the "Unlink" on PS, only "Link" through profile. When I try to unlink through the Show site, it logs me out and when I log in, it still has both linked. I have tried closing browsers, linking what turned out to be two sets of saves (WTF!) and it says it cannot link because they are the same.
I'm embarrassed to say that you've described my life for the last 24 hours -- and nobody from support will respond to help.

I've seen a "restore license" option some people have posted. Can someone fill me in on how to get that done? Does this restore what was lost when the "link" was attempted? I see all my items on the website, but it won't show in game. I haven't done much with it since the issue, so I'm not concerned personally about losing progress since, however I understand many are.
I sent an email to SDS and was surprised I was answered almost instantly, but it was the generic info most of you have seen as well; link/unlink instructions.
Right now, my Dashboard shows my XBX and PS5 are not connected to my online account, so I am hopeful it is being worked one.

If it's "Restore Licenses", that's one of the templated responses we've been getting but hasn't worked,
What's weird is none of my items are showing on the website, nor are they on my PS5 or XBOX, but are showing in my PS4. The wild goose chase continues.

So cards are missing from invertories, stubs are still missing from buy orders, RS records are messed, stats of the cards are not counting, conquest games can't be finished, TA are reverting back... did I forget something?

I just tried to get a refund and they said "sorry, you already downloaded it". I explained all the [censored] I've gone through with this game including having my stubs and progression reset and there's just no way for a refund.
Pretty frustrating you can purchase something and have it taken away for no reason and then be told "sorry".

Same here, just because I'm out of options I installed the PS4 version last night and everything is there. Deleted the PS5 version, reinstalled and still nothing. I also don't have anything showing on my account through TheShow's website. Went through support chat and of course they don't know anything. How hard is it to just put a half assed statement out there and say something about it SDS? @Adam_SDS_PSN @Victor_SDS_PSN @Pat_SDS_PSN @Collin_SDS_PSN

I'm in the same boat and feel the same way. I've put more time into The Show over the years than any other game. I keep saying the same thing in my posts and tweets, but I've literally had my whole account wiped, stubs taken away, etc because I linked my accounts. I'm more irritated with not getting any sort of reply or acknowledgement of my posts, tweets and ticket submission than anything else.

This! Mi consoles (PS5 and XBox) are finally "unlinked" in theshow website, I did not do anything from last night. Im affraid by that "erase content" warning.
Right now im playing on the PS4 version that has no problmems and shows all my stuff and progress.The sad part is I played a bit with the PS4 version last night and couldn't even tell a difference between that and the PS5. LOL.

Same thing, lost everything a couple of hours ago. Many many hours of grinding since friday. Bought the deluxe edition on PS. At least my inventory and stubs are still on theshow.com account. Hope SDS acknowledges/fixes this soon.
You guys know if this happens to EVERYBODY that tries to link or just random?They tucked away the sequence of how to properly link your accounts in the FAQ of one of the pages I can't find. Even then it doesn't make complete sense. I think to fix it we just need to unlink and follow the sequence, but we're all stuck in that loop where we click unlink and then get sent to a login page which brings us back to where we were.
Based on what I've seen here, on reddit and on twitter, it's a pretty good chunk of people dealing with this same [censored].

'ol Miguel gave me the same message this morning. I replied back and said it didn't work with what I was experiencing. Then, Joseph rides in on his horse and tells me to make sure I entered the PS5 Download Code from the steelbook into the redeem code section and insert the PS4 disc. Granted, this is after we've established that I purchased the game digitally and directly through the PSN STORE!!

Just a heads up so you all don't end up being crapped on like I just was. If you link both your XBOX and PSN ID's to The Show, it sets you back a default. I lost all my stubs, progression I made over the last four days and pre order bonuses. Everything is wiped out. Now I have to try and hunt down someone who can help me. At this point, I just want a refund to end this nightmare launch.
when you are viewing your inventory on shownation does it show what you should have or did that get wiped out as well?
Yep, it's all gone. Even the stubs. I submitted a ticket, but it would be great if someone from the support team at least acknowledged there is an issue via a post or tweet.

Are you holding your controller at the correct angle when you boot the digital (steelbook version of the PS4 version on PS5)?
Meanwhile back at the ranch.....PS4 version works just fine???????????? Please send prayers.
