PSA: Don't Link both PS and XBOX Accounts!

I was successful in getting my ps5 progress carried over to xbox. Started on ps5 on Friday, logged into theshow.com with my ps5 credentials. Created a new account on website, carried over progress from Playstation, not the website. So ps5 and website were now linked. Today opened game on xbox, got the 6 digit code from profile, and entered that on website to link xbox, selecting web account/ps5 as progress carryover. Now full team and stubbs are present on both systems. Hope this helps someone.

How can I carry over my progress from the website, back to my PS5? My PS5 appears to be linked to my xbox which was just the free gamepass version. My ps5 had all my preorders and progress. If i log into my website account, I see all my stuff. How the heck do I get that back to my PS5? I'm stuck in the unlink/connected loop. There is no unlink option on the PS5 or Xbox, just link.

I’m curious as well. I can’t unlink, stuck in the loop.

Same thing, lost everything a couple of hours ago. Many many hours of grinding since friday. Bought the deluxe edition on PS. At least my inventory and stubs are still on theshow.com account. Hope SDS acknowledges/fixes this soon.
You guys know if this happens to EVERYBODY that tries to link or just random? -

You guys know if this happens to EVERYBODY that tries to link or just random?They tucked away the sequence of how to properly link your accounts in the FAQ of one of the pages I can't find. Even then it doesn't make complete sense. I think to fix it we just need to unlink and follow the sequence, but we're all stuck in that loop where we click unlink and then get sent to a login page which brings us back to where we were.
Based on what I've seen here, on reddit and on twitter, it's a pretty good chunk of people dealing with this same [censored].

I am having the same issue as all above.
On my PS, I bought the $100USD version, had no issues even linking to The Show site. Added XB today via Game Pass, it wiped all my PS stuff. I don't see the "Unlink" on PS, only "Link" through profile. When I try to unlink through the Show site, it logs me out and when I log in, it still has both linked. I have tried closing browsers, linking what turned out to be two sets of saves (WTF!) and it says it cannot link because they are the same.

I'm embarrassed to say that you've described my life for the last 24 hours -- and nobody from support will respond to help.

I've been having this same issue; now it's telling me that an error occurred and that "platforms match so you can not link them." Not sure if this is a positive or negative since before it was just telling me an error occurred and that was it.

You know, I’m starting to consider the possibility that this cannot be fixed. If it could, surely somebody from the studio would have replied to one of the multiple threads covering this issue by now. I think the preorder stuff and progress is gone forever and cannot be retrieved. We are most likely screwed by this point. Hate to say it, but I may try the refund route with PSN which I don’t want to do. I just want the stuff I paid for back. I didn’t click any button that stated this would delete my inventory and all the digital deluxe content I paid for.

I received a response from support early this morning, however it was just the troubleshooting tips and steps on how to link/unlink.

The response I got was to contact PSN support and they gave me the link. Wow, super helpful. LOL.

Wow that's terrible. I'm starting to think the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Might as well start tweeting and emailing Kotaku, Polygon, IGN, etc... about this silence. We've lost paid content and are getting no feedback and useless info from support. Maybe some bad press will get the ball rolling. You can see the DEV tracker, and they've responded to some posts, but nothing on this topic. I get that they're probably working on it, but at least say "Hey we see you, we understand your frustration, and we are working on it." Hell the launch of Outriders was a ****show, but at least they were actively engaged on Reddit, discord and Twitter providing updates. If you're going to force us into a live service model for our content, keep us informed when there's an issue. It's not a lot to ask, that's why there are community managers.

Completely agree. It's also irritating to see people from SDS reply to other threads but not this one. If you guys can't fix the problem, you need to give us our money back. I tried getting a refund through PSN and they said nope because the game has been downloaded.

Hello SDS,
Many of us are experiencing this issue. The linking of our PSN and Xbox accounts has WIPED/ERASED all of our progress and pre-order bonuses (daily doubles, 42 packs, stubs etc.)
Can you please provide a solution or at least an ETA of a fix. I have been talking to your support team via email and all their troubleshooting steps have not worked (Chuck has not been helpful, Joseph has tried but un-linking the account doesn't work; especially since the PSN account just does not un-link).
Microsoft has referred me FOUR TIMES to you all. PLEASE respond to this thread. MANY OF US ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
