Had to do a full initialization on the PS4, took 27 hours lol. But after it was finished i was able to finally start my first online game. And it’s been fine since.

So, I have seen kluber a ton. I started off using strike zone this year, and that made kluber look like the best pitcher to ever step foot in the league. So, I switched to strike zone high. Now, kluber and almost every other pitcher feels super hittable. I’m not saying you’re going to put up 15 a game off of him, but you’re gonna figure him out a lot quicker. The first game I saw him after switching I forced 75 pitches through 3 innings and put up 10 runs in the game. I’m not sure how many people hit in strike zone, but strike zone high definitely helps, especially with the speed change on sinkers and change ups and the low slurves and cutters. Just don’t let people get to Rollie fingers. He’s so much better than he was last year.

Kluber 99 is a tease. Velo and HR/9 are too low, so you get plenty of time to square up and when you do... boom every time. I grabbed Fingers instead.

HR/9 has no effect in online. It's only for simulations like franchise.

I have asked this of SDS forever and no response. do you have somewhere you can cite that confirms this? or is this just your belief?

They disabled it last year, and this year during a stream they confirmed it was still disabled before the game came out

I mean honestly your best bet is to keep trying showdown this way you’re grinding towards something and even if you fail you’re getting xo which gives you stars overtime, not proud to say but i’ve gotten about 30 stars so far just by failing showdown over and over. And i usually make it to second boss everytime which actually gets me about an extra 500 on top of the 500 you pay.

Yeah if you press square you can see odds. Silver player pack is 1:399 for a diamond. Not too sure what a gold player pack is.

Not sure, but a full initialization of the PS4 (that took 26 hours) did the job.

Contact hitters don’t matter. It’s all about power. Fluke homers. MLB 18 all over again in regards to hitting engine.

The tell tale sign I have to quit playing is when my girlfriend just said to me what happened? You were the happiest you’ve been in a long time when this game came out but now all you do is get pissed. So for my mental health I gotta take a break. And pray for SDS to do something.

The only thing i find horrible right nOw is fielding, a lot of errors because of outfielders now locking on to the ball which is super annoying and the outfield gameplay feels a little clunky. I don’t really agree with the “the best player doesn’t always win” because if that was the case you wouldn’t constantly see the top #10 people in World Series always being the same people. I do feel like this game has something i know NHL had which in that game was called “ice tilt” (feels like if you were on a streak or your guy was way better than the opponents you goalie would literally just go full tard and let just about any shot in the net) but majority if you are better you win way more than you lose.

I try to edit my lineup to get rid of that blank card in the top right and it won’t let me edit my lineup or even auto fix it when I go into a game mode. I’m only able to go into events. Good luck. I’ve been getting a challenge failed error since launch, i have not been able to play an online game since the game released. I’ve been emailing them 3x a week for 3 weeks and sending bug reports 3-4 times a week. I’ve received 2 answers back telling me it’s my internet, i proved both times it’s not my internet by showing them i can play rated online and mlb 19 with no problem just not DD modes. Ever since they have yet to answer me back. It’s been able a week and a half, 2-3 more emails send and more bug reports and they are just totally ignoring me now.

Some random? So it's okay for you to try and flip stubs, but not them, because they are seeking less profit than you and undercut you? That's how the market works, man. All these videos of people claiming they are making 20K an hour on stubs are mostly liars. Sure, you might make 300 or 400 stubs here and there if you are lucky, but 95 percent of the time, someone will come in and lowball your price, so it is a frustrating waste of time, really.

I personally love lowballing people by 20 or 30 stubs because I get sick of everyone acting like this is the price as right and bidding 1 stub lower than the other person every five seconds.

Makes me feel like I've won a small victory over you guys trying to make 100 stubs at a time for hours on end.

Lol they can definitely make that many stubs, maybe not everyday with mlb 20 yet. But after the first inning program in 19 i was easily making 50k in a few hours. And when the home run derby cards came out i made about 40k in like a half hour. And right after that when the stubs sale happened i was making 20-30k per flip off of scherzer, mookie and Arenado. I do find it annoying when people drop the price so much lower because honestly it’s not going to sell any faster than it would if you dropped the price 1 stub. But, to each his own so obviously i wouldn’t get mad at people online for getting stubs they want to make them. But yeah OP you just screwed yourself if you used them cards to flip. Now everyone that knows nothing about it will just flock to them 2 cards.

There is other people having this same issue, i’ve talked to about 100 different people, sure it’s not a lot but it’s a huge problem no matter what. Their email and support team are there for support but now they just ignore. The problem is their servers time out time frame. It’s too short. Guaranteed if they increased the time by 10-15 seconds before their servers time out it Youwill fix the problem with everyone.

From what you are saying. ....it seems to me you have cheap Internet or haven't paid the bill. Loser! You're probably the biggest cheater also. Just an assumption.

What a weirdo, have gigabit internet, all my bills are paid on time or early. Cheating in a video game is pointless, minds well not even play.

Have you tried a different PS4? If so, and it worked; then it's your console and you'll need to buy another one.

Just tried my sons, it works on his.

Edit: i know my playstation does have a hard drive issue. But i bought an extended hard drive and installed mlb on that. Wouldn’t that fix it in theory? Or does ps4 still use the internal for loading? I wonder if i have the internal hard drive out if it will use the external one by default and load off of that.

I had the same problem and bought a new ps4 and it works now. I believe it is the internal hard drive. Mine has been slow ever since it got a corrupted file on it 1 year ago and I had the ps4 for 5 years.

Yes my internal HD is messed up a lot. I went out and bought an external HD and installed mlb in that. Still not working after.
