What is your definition of "conspiracy theory"..and then compare it to what lengths a software gaming company would go to market a game.

Especially to market a game to give it the best possible posture. that it is competitive and purchasing additional cards will help you, the customer, be more competitive.

If a sports gaming company isn't able to create an online environment that creates the illusion of competition...it will fail. Who would go online and play a complete stranger KNOWING the code decides the outcome? Rhetorical question.

If you honestly think that the code decides the outcome in this game then why do you play it? NOT a rhetorical question. Seriously guy. If you honestly believe this game has some sort of nefarious comeback logic programmed into the code that completely takes the game out of your hands, then why are you wasting your time playing it (and then wasting even more time whining about it on the forums)?

I don't play it. I quit playing it a couple weeks ago. I feel a responsibility to show solidarity with the others on this forum that like to remind everyone this is an RNG. All the promoting and marketing and talking up the next great challenge, and debating who the best catcher is.....it's all BS.

Just need to keep the coalition of skeptics strong. Otherwise the naïve and young will be brains washed with no opportunity to get the real scoop. It's important.

As if this being the dumbest thread on this forum wasn't enough, your "crusade" to warn about RNG is the most idiotic thing I've ever read.

The only thing you should do with your "real scoop" is flush it down the toilet.

At least my Marlins gave me a week or so in First Place.
But reality has set in and we are on our way to the bottom of the standings.

No one,REPEAT...no one wins when computer code says it ain't so. That's perhaps the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard. Don't forget what powers the game...it's code. I guess if you could figure out a way to hack into the code and "goto" a different outcome..perhaps then you could "overcome the RNG". When you learn that trick let me know.

That's why I haven't bought a copy of Madden since 2017. It took me a couple years to realize just how broke online game "simulations" truly are.

I remember grinding for that super-stud offensive lineman that would open up gaping holes for my RB's. Put them in that hole, run behind them, and get stuffed worse than before I spent countless hours trying to pick him up in some goofy marathon challenge.

Maybe the worst part of the "Diamond-Dynasty", Franchise, and FIFA Ultimate Team scheme is the whole concept is to grind for the perfect highest-rated players...and they don't perform any better than what you had in the beginning. Ironic.

It’s not completely true. If you have a samsung tv and turn off everything. I’m talking about keep internet disconnected, turn off app updating, dynamic contrast, anynet, tv auto update. Then go into Samsung’s secret menu which is mute 182 power. You can turn off every other tv processing. I have a input lag program and my 65 Samsung tv does 7ms input lag.

Wait, any dude can play this game for a couple days and tell you EXACTLY how it works. Well, at least walk away knowing it's almost entirely RNG. Which, even if it's just a little RNG...guess what it is??? RNG. And, when you are a competitive console player..RNG can be frustrating.

That, dude, is undeniable. Maybe there are those with an interest in not advertising the fact...but, yes, even a 6-1 guy has enough snap to deduce what is going on.

You're probably right.

But, I just want the game not to be so obviously and noticeably contrived. I want to feel like it matters who I draft, and the location/timing of my swing has meaning. Not the "slot-machine" effect. I know some of these things can be fixed.

From what I've recently read it sounds like an almost impossible task for the developers. I've done a lot of programming myself using randomizers and it's not perfect.

This article, if it's the end-all on the subject, describes how near impossible it is to get RNG perfect. Still, I'm thinking the SDS folks are talented enuf to figure it out someday SOON I hope. 😉

It’s a bug. Weird stuff like this happens on occasion and even though it sucks, it doesn’t mean there’s a conspiracy against you. The AI doesn’t “script losses.” If it was scripted for you to lose, don’t you think it would have been a whole lot easier for Seager to hit a 500 foot tank rather than script a bug that caused your pitcher not to throw the ball? Come on, guy.

I don't believe it's a conspiracy at all. I do believe like many do that Showdown, especially, is randomized. And if you were to always lose on a homerun it would look pretty silly. Sillier than the fairly prevalent double plays.

So absolutely not do I believe there is a conspiracy against me. It's randomized game play that, as you said, sometimes get glitchy. And as I said..transparent sometimes.

I'm likely to win the rematch w/o even trying. Again..randomized gameplay and that's ok. I understand that's prob how all gaming software works. I can live with that and still enjoy the game.

The giant collection reward? Something tells me this could be a lot of work. I got a very late start in this season. Don't see myself chasing it. Good luck to the rest of you though. Hope Trout makes a difference that's worth the challenge.
