This just happened

How low will it go? This just happened to me in 6th Inning. After Seager hits it back to the mound, I instantly start pushing circle. Voth just won't throw it (controller was fine..before this play and after this play). And Seager scores on a Kemp double next batter to cancel the win.
The only thing possible is the AI had scripted out a loss for me...and got a little obvious with the animation. Am I wrong?

Actually it was Snider that got the double to score Seager. Kemp singled in between.

https://twitter.com/i/status/1288631383997460481It’s a bug. Weird stuff like this happens on occasion and even though it sucks, it doesn’t mean there’s a conspiracy against you. The AI doesn’t “script losses.” If it was scripted for you to lose, don’t you think it would have been a whole lot easier for Seager to hit a 500 foot tank rather than script a bug that caused your pitcher not to throw the ball? Come on, guy.

I don't believe it's a conspiracy at all. I do believe like many do that Showdown, especially, is randomized. And if you were to always lose on a homerun it would look pretty silly. Sillier than the fairly prevalent double plays.
So absolutely not do I believe there is a conspiracy against me. It's randomized game play that, as you said, sometimes get glitchy. And as I said..transparent sometimes.
I'm likely to win the rematch w/o even trying. Again..randomized gameplay and that's ok. I understand that's prob how all gaming software works. I can live with that and still enjoy the game.
