Delgado is just above .300 which besides Ruth that I just started with makes him my worst hitter by quite a ways. Gonna use him anyway.

I thought I was being really smart and efficient with my collections this year. On the day Brett was released, I only had enough cards to get 5 collection vouchers. As of last night, I'm up to 7. No chance in hell you are getting just playing unless you are putting like 8 hrs/day in. Most weekends I put in around 20 hours and I'm nowhere close to Brett. Think I have 2 vouchers.

I would take Maddux. Plenty of people to play 1st base but you will more than likely need Delgado for the next collection. I played against Delgado in the minors so I am playing him because of that. He and Ruth are my two worst hitters but just started with Ruth.

What’s wrong with the rep in Houston? Just because a bunch of allstars left and the best they’ve brought in since a WS ring is Ryne Stanek doesn’t mean the entire league is laughing at them and choosing to play literally anywhere else besides Houston. Aledmys Diaz for example, HUGE resigning. Everybody was after the 3 million dollar man.

What have the Yankees brought in?

4-5 full roster turnovers and no WS.

Based on $$$ alone, the Dodgers and Yankees should be in the World Series every year. Sub par organizations that don't have any idea of the value of a dollar in my opinion.

This is the correct answer. Yankees are constantly overpaying for talent that doesn't produce on the field.

You give us a whole 3 monthly cards to do 1500 xp for Monthly hitters and 2500 xp for Monthly pitchers?

I don't mind grinding but I took a pitcher and 2 position players. I have a whopping 692/1500 for hitters and 1035/2500 for pitchers. Oh, I can do the Topps mission for 2000 xp and I get one whole player when I finish that to work on these missions? On top of that, if someone quits the event game before my 8th batter, I don't get any xp?

Just wondering if I have this figured out because if so, this is not smart. No, I don't have stubs to "rent" players for these missions. Already did those 3 players individual XP and still only have these 3.

Considering the last I looked I need at least another 1M in stubs to even get Brett; I think I'm good waiting. Lol

I would be interested in seeing how far away I am from Brett. I would guess 1.5-2 million stubs. Lucky to see him by Labor Day if I'm playing that long.

Honestly I wasn't to impressed when they announce it was him because I have been running the FOTD Devers at first base.

Now that there is a POTM Lightning Devers; I'm in no hurry for Brett and probably won't even attempt to get him until I see who the other ones will be later in the year. Unless they throw a Mantle or Griffey like player as one of the Mega Collection rewards; I may just pass on the whole thing.

Well, Brett is my favorite player of all time and it isn't even close. It is extremely rare that I get in awe of people. Brett did this when he talked to us at spring training one year. He was 5 ft away. Tommy Lasorda spoke to us that same year too.

This is one of the worst things that can happen in this game. Your favorite player basically being unattainable because to me he is. I play the game a lot but without spending money, insane pack luck, 12 win BR runs or flipping, you are not sniffing him. Just playing the game simply isn't enough.

So I did all the moments and 1st collection to get to stage 2. I then got 3 monthly and took a pitcher and 2 position players. Finished the pitcher but still need like 10 points to get another one to work on. Really don't like how they are doing these. You HAVE to rent them and then sell the 4 back that you are going to get later in the no sell it seems to speed up the process.

My game on wired fiber plays like complete dogshit. I can't play wired. It is like a circus with bs hits I give up among other things.

Flipping fake cards on a virtual market is less fun than playing conquest. I would rather get a root canal than flip cards but to each his own.

Yea I was locked in to spend some money this weekend to get Babe before devers was announced yesterday. I started the may POTM program last night should be finished today. I’ll be playing babe and devers

But playing devers, babe, pulos and Delgado at the same time sounds like the slowest team alive. I hope all you hit are tanks and score at least 10 every game lol. But I would be absolutely terrified of that line up so I can’t blame ya lol

These guys: Devers, Babe, Trout, Delgado, Pujols, Marte, Polanco and C CAP in my high elevation created stadium? Sounds like a good time to me. Think instead of NL collection, I am going to try for cover athletes as I would like to play with Mauer instead of my CAP.

Power numbers, sure. But to say he's "far superior" to Jeter is a ludicrous statement.

In the real world. I have watched and played baseball since the 70's. Cabrera and Pujols are two of the best hitters I have ever seen.

Jeter would have been nothing had he not played in NY. One of the most over-rated players ever. Wasn't even the best SS on his own team. A-Rod was a far superior defensive player.
Not in his own division. Nomar was far better. If you don't know this, your baseball knowledge is severely lacking.

I had an all star game last night I had 15 good swings and 11 were outs. Won the game but the other person had 5 good swings and I didn't break it open until the end. Had more hits in the HOF game after and I wasn't swinging nearly as good.

You can't listen to the goons in the 1000's that play a different game. I made WS with Cruz in RF last season and I honestly can't remember him giving up that many runs. As someone stated, he just doesn't get to foul balls. I am hitting almost .400 with Cruz. Problem is I can't put him, Delgado, Ruth, Pujols and Devers all in the same lineup unless Ruth goes to center. Now, that could cost a lot of runs but no so much on the corner spots from what I've seen. Pujols is P5 so I'll probably sit him for a bit.

Oh, I highly doubt I play RS tonight. I played a HOF game last night and the pitch speeds seemed excessive. Need some more legend BP.

After selling off everything I had since I am not completing the Brett collection anytime soon, I have 3 options that I can do. Heard rumors of a flash sale coming so would likely wait until Friday at the earliest to do any of these.

1. But Delgado, Morgan, and about 10 cover athletes to get Mauer and Ruth.

2. Buy Trout and Ohtani to complete the AL live series collection. Doubt I’d use Glaus or Frank though, can’t hit with either in BR.

3. Buy Acuna, Degrom, and Scherzer to complete the NL live series collection.

Not sure which of these would be best to do.

I am biased. I sold a bunch of stuff for Ohtani to finish AL and regretted it very shortly after. So much so that I sold off a bunch of all star and other cards that I saved for Brett (still no where even close to enough) to buy Takashi and get Delgado and Ruth. I enjoy RS more than anything (even though that is starting to die) and they helped my team way more than a useless Ohtani and Frank. Even though I have my CAP at C, I would take the first choice. Would like to use that Mauer at some point.

As far as RS goes, Trout is really the only useful one in the 2nd choice. 3rd choice is only Utley. You can buy Martel to cover for Utley imo and there are a ton of outfielders. I haven't used FOTF Mullins in a while but he has like 90 HR's and hitting around .380. His swing is so good.

thing I don’t like is it’s not getting me any closer to Randy, but rather have 3 96+ cards that are cracked than just getting one useable card from the LS collections.

I have a hard time after seeing that Thomas to think deGrom, Acuna, Arenado, Scherzer and Tatis are all worth it. Just too many stubs that are way too hard to obtain this year. I will maintain to say if you don't get extemely lucky with pack luck, flip a ton, win numerous 12 BR runs or spend real money, you are not sniffing Brett for quite some time. I have played a bunch and no where close.

Clemente and Thomas aren't really the reward for finishing the LS Collection; it's Randy Johnson.

Johnson is absolutely worth it but that is the only one imo. Utley is great too but I can play Marte there and be fine. I literally have like 4k stubbs and need about 800k to finish the NL. That is going to take a month for me even if I sell 300 inning and WS reward when I get to them. I'm just playing with cards I want for now being a realist that Brett is a pipe dream right now.
