There has been a lot said about the pitching in the game this year and for good reason.
I know none of you need more complaints about it but I think the most basic thing that needs to change is that a pitcher should not have to struggle to throw his primary pitch for a strike, regardless of input method.
It is fine if it gets a bit more challenging to throw dots on the corners, but the average strike percentage among MLB pitchers is about 62%.
This seems really obvious, but the way the game plays right now, I don’t think this is the case. Now I realize many of us are trying to dot the corners or throw out of the zone, and that is fine, but if a player is behind 2-0 and wants to come into the zone, it should be fairly easy to do so.
I don’t want to fight with the interface to throw a 2-0 pitch in the zone.
