3rd Collection

Do you think there will be a 3rd collection and who do you think it will be?
-
100%... no clue
-
Yes there will be, they continuously hint at it.as for who it will be... all of the biggest names are still in play and most of the big names too.
-
99 Prime Ben Zobrist
-
I know it won't be, but I'd love to see RF Ohtani. Let me hit the snot out of the ball and be be able to steal second without having to have him pitch. At the very least, I'd like a player I want to use. Brett and Cutch are great, but I've already got better. If they weren't the live series prize the past couple years, I'd say Mariano Rivera or Trout. My guess is Cy Young. I don't remember a year going by without him getting a 99 even though that would be a better card for BR or program reward. Fifty-fifty chance it's a Yankee or Dodger?
-
I believe a Takashi collection to unlock two-way 99 Shohei is inevitable. We've already seen the artwork for it.

It won't be two way. They don't know how to make that work. Hopefully it's just a RF card
-
It's gotta be chipper or atleast a chipper is coming any day now.....
-
There are a TON of good cards it could be so it’s almost pointless to speculate. Is it just me or do we usually have more of the super desirable endgame legends by this time? There are easily 30 or more who still need their (good!) 99s. I’m getting a little antsy.

Who do you have at 3rd that's better than Brett? I get if there is someone you like better or have better success with and I'm definitely not trying to argue with you I just haven't found anyone with attributes to meet Brett at 3rd. Riley and Walker are close but lack the speed and steal.

Brett is never leaving my lineup. I moved Austin Riley to LF and if I am fortunate enough to get Donaldson from Extreme, I'll just move Brett to 1B and then Votto becomes a PH off the bench.

Verlander is my guess

Attributes don’t mean everything. You could give me a card with maxed out attributes, and if it has a swing similar to Machado has had in the last couple years (haven’t used him this year), and I wouldn’t use the card.
Brett has a pretty good swing, but I know many that play Devers over him at third. -

Do you like Matt Carpenter’s MA card?

Absolutely he is a pinch hitter on my bench

I like speed and he's too slow. Honus Wagner, Jackie Robinson, or Kalil Watson have the speed and hitting I like. All three homer on a regular basis and have decent defensive skills. That's not even counting swings that are easier for me to use. Until recently I used Tier 5 Fernando Tatis Jr. I got to have that 90+ speed. I hope Wagner gets a 99 and there will be another I like more at 3rd as well. Right now I have Wagner at 1st, Jackie at 2nd, Oneil Cruz at SS and Watson at 3rd. OF is JRod, Buxton, and a 99 Future star I don't remember the name of. I'm not a steal cheeser, but it's nice to steal when you need to and I've been picked off with Brett more than Watson. Plus I just like Watson's swing more. Not my favorite, but good enough for now.

Nice, nothing wrong with loading your team with speed. Wait that sounded wrong.
But I get it.

It would be pretty sad if they didn’t give Honus a solid 99 card. Always loved his swing, speed, as well as his defense and range he gives at SS. I know we are talking about 3rd base, and it you like him there it cannot hurt. I just feel his ability to cover so much ground Shortstop is his best fit. Especially if his card has short as his primary position.
It’s just my opinion, but do what works best for you. I am not saying that I know anymore that you. That’s why I like this mode. People can play with a team that they want to use. -
They could really go any direction. I was thinking it would be legend this time but last year they did back 2 back current players. One thing for certain it has to be a juiced card. I feel like most lineups are amazing right now. If you did the other collectiins and Jackie you ate set at 3b, CF and 2b till the end. Frank and Ortiz at 1st with Gehrig in the next program. We just got a SS with the last 2 programs in ripken and Cruz. And the other corner OF spots can be filled by a dozen players.
So my guess right now is Chipper. Maybe a reliefs pitcher, I could make room for.
