Perfect-Perfect Should Be Auto Homeruns

I think this is what you meant to say:
Perfect perfect fly balls with batter above 105 Power vs L / R should be auto HR’s.
We can debate the power rating needed but there should be a threshold where it’s an auto jack if PP flyball.
No sane person should complain if frank Thomas and his 120+ PWR v L gets a dong on all perfect fly balls against lefties.
Can 22 Thomas do what 19,20 and 21 couldn't, i.e. lift the ball?? Mr. Perfect/Perfect singles and 110 mph doubles off the wall

Every year Perfect Perfects are messed up but this year it is worse than normal. SDS has got to fix perfect perfects and make them home runs every time or at least extra base hits. The game needs to reward players for the perfect timing hits. SDS Fix your game.
While a perfect/perfect should fall more often than not, it should not be an auto xbh.
For example irl, Trea Turner had one more ab left on Sunday to extend his hit streak and hit a (perfect/perfect) line drive out to the ss in the bottom of the 8th, ending his hit streak. It was the highest exit velo of the day for any hitter. Sure it's a bummer but that happens sometimes.

There's an argument to be made that PP's in a video game in competitive online mode should always be rewarded. Whether you agree or not, it's a valid POV. I don't agree, and the OP stated his case immaturely, but there's a case to be made.
It's not real life baseball. It's a video game. User input should trump all. People will disagree as to whether that means success 100% of the time, but it's a valid argument.

I understand that point too, but honestly if user input truly trumped everything in this game it wouldn't even be baseball anymore. Top players would have team batting averages over .600. Hell DS and CS players would probably hit .350. I definitely get it, but most of us like this game because its baseball, not PCI tracking simulator

It’s not a valid argument though. To begin with, perfect/perfect hits are always rewarded - with high velo. But the only way to guarantee a hit of some kind would be to cause all P/P’s to have a scripted outcome in the form of a homerun or a hit that is guaranteed to avoid a fielder’s glove. Scripting of events like that is exactly the kind of thing a sports game should avoid - especially one that is ostensibly represented as a baseball sim.
I think zone hitting already gives the game more of an arcade/stick skills focus than I would personally like. Now some of you are acting like they should go even further in that direction. That’s the last thing SDS should be doing.

Why though? Do you know how often batters square up balls with perfect timing only for them to be hard hit ground outs, line outs or even fly balls? As if this game wasn't riddled with too many home runs, let's keep it SOMEWHAT realistic.
I think a lot of people that play this game don’t watch baseball in irl
Agreed

Absolutely not. You want Juan Pierre hitting bombs left and right?
People will just use max contact, speed demons and contact swing.

It does seem that perfect perfect swings end up in a line out to the corner infielder or corner outfielder in the exact same animation/outcome over half the time.

That's because 90+% of players spam inside pitches, and since everyone knows it's nothing but inside pitches coming...everyone is ready for it and those pitches get smashed.
I'm to the point that I get excited when people actually mix their pitches even though it definitely means less runs for me. Playing the same game of guys mixing sinkers/sliders/cutters on/off the inside corner and then quitting after I smash 2 for HR is extremely mundane at this point. -

Is this real life? No, it's a video game. I should be hitting these pitches to Neptune. Not to mention the game has no competition at the low level and maybe this could change that
Lets make pitching not matter at all

Pitchers with pitches outside the zone on a perfect perfect should be automatic swing and miss no foul balls.

Pitchers have to matter to so nothing should be hit or foul on a pitch outside the zone.
-
Also, did we all forget there are 3 different types of perfect perfect? It corresponds to the dots on the center PCI. Some people hit a perfect grounder at the top of the zone and are angry its not a homerun
-
I want my perfect pitch timing and location to disintegrate not only my opponent's bat, but their controller as well.

I watch a lot of baseball and you know what else I don’t see IRL? First basemen catching line drives and slap tagging the runner on first, pitchers knocking down every ball hit up the middle, contested plays at the plate on warning track sac flies (for even average speed runners), defenders reacting to the ball as it hits the bat instantaneously (and instantly getting up to top speed as well), etc.
Also, IRL, line drives have a .600 average in mlb. That isn’t even remotely close to what it is in game (way lower in game).
Once again, this is a video game not a “sim”. Zone hitting and sim do not and can not coexist.

I think they should get auto grand slams. Even when there is nobody on base. Then be served a tray of beer and Hor d'oeuvres when they cross home plate.
Hell yeah throw in some strippers and cocaine!

Ok so then tell SDS to make every single perfect perfect hit a HR- guarantee you guys will be complaining how boring or predictable the game is- what I do know is the MLB show community are some of the most complaining muddled aged mofos I’ve ever encountered in my life life- Jesus Christ
