Good luck getting any studio that has the sufficient funding and staffing to do so, doubt EA or 2K is interested, especially with the uncertainty and issues that real life baseball has had. Any small studio making it from scratch would likely become a meme, aka RBI baseball.

DD allows the shareholders and corporate to pressure the bosses to pressure the devs to focus on DD ( where their profits are). -

I know there’s changes to stadium creator with night games and some other updates but I’m hoping for something big and revealing for the streams and other gameplay trailers, hopefully something good for franchise mode,
I dont know about the 90 bucks part. never buying this game again. its free on game pass, game pass is the best.

I really doubt there's shareholder pressure of any kind w/r/t this game. It's made by a small studio that's owned by a division (playstation studios) of a subsidiary (Sony Interactive) of a massive conglomerate (Sony). Neither the game or SDS is even mentioned in Sony's annual report to shareholders. They're probably focusing on what the data shows is played the most, which is probably shorter game modes that don't require the kind of time investment that hardcore and longtime players might be more interested in. Same story throughout the industry.

I mean, I think I had 5 different baseball games on my SNES back in the 90's and even on NES!! Why can't we have more than one good baseball game in 2022?
