I think it will be copy and paste....and not interested in '22 at all if that is the case.

I don’t see them making the leaps one would expect for PS5 since it’s cross gen and cross platform. So I am foolishly hopeful they give us the best gameplay since MLBTS ‘13 ie. the last year out only on PS3.
Make Hitting Great Again! and Build Back Better Baseball!
I imagine not too many people would complain if they truly focus on gameplay improvements this year and go back to adding features and specs next year.
The content is pretty much guaranteed, but we are overdue for more fun and engaging gameplay.

I wouldn't care to much about essentially copy and paste, I am their prime demographic. I love to grind in DD and would get it every year even with minimal change. Am I dumb or insane to have that mindset? Probably!

About 1, 057 hours based on the dashboard, 1, 456 based on the Xbox app... Plus Stubbin',etc. I'd like to know how much actual time I've invested but I really don't want to see it.
Keep in mind that it's my first year and learning everything. Almost entirely offline (22 online games).
I'd buy '22 for DH and to start over with what I know know versus Last April.
Is it April 1st yet?

Also cannot expect much change since they are bringing in Nintendo this year. Think they have to have all the platforms on board before they make any big changes. Maybe next year.

DD gives them the opportunity to focus on profit rather than innovation.

Good luck getting any studio that has the sufficient funding and staffing to do so, doubt EA or 2K is interested, especially with the uncertainty and issues that real life baseball has had. Any small studio making it from scratch would likely become a meme, aka RBI baseball.

I know there’s changes to stadium creator with night games and some other updates but I’m hoping for something big and revealing for the streams and other gameplay trailers, hopefully something good for franchise mode,
I dont know about the 90 bucks part. never buying this game again. its free on game pass, game pass is the best.

I really doubt there's shareholder pressure of any kind w/r/t this game. It's made by a small studio that's owned by a division (playstation studios) of a subsidiary (Sony Interactive) of a massive conglomerate (Sony). Neither the game or SDS is even mentioned in Sony's annual report to shareholders. They're probably focusing on what the data shows is played the most, which is probably shorter game modes that don't require the kind of time investment that hardcore and longtime players might be more interested in. Same story throughout the industry.

Ok, maybe I should've been more clear. A different baseball game of similar caliber to The Show series. An app game on your phone isn't a real baseball game.
I mean, I think I had 5 different baseball games on my SNES back in the 90's and even on NES!! Why can't we have more than one good baseball game in 2022?
