Why should you care if you get a free win?? If I’m getting hammered why should I waste my time? I’ll take the L and start another game. Not sure how I’m not accepting my loss. I’m accepting it and moving on.

And the timing window is a huge issue. Fastballs are near impossible to hit because of a broken timing window/latency issues.
@joshjays44_psn said in Timing issues:
Nope, Hitting and pitch timing is on point in this year's game. With testing the feedback window, even before it even goes up I can tell if I'm early or just early or good and I'm on Legend at pitch speeds at 10. If you feel the timing is off from looking at the feedback you might have what I call "privileged casual noob syndrome", where your "skills" don't match up with the results you're seeing so you look for some kind of blame...so obviously you blame the game's mechanics and not user skill. Don't worry "privileged casual noob syndrome" is quite common in today's instant gratification world but there is a cure.........practice and get gut! Or maybe stop playing The Show on a TV and get yourself a decent monitor
Thanks for chiming in you walking talking d-bag

Unbelievable. Are these guys for real? I'm beginning to think that they're incompetent of improving an already disastrous game. Online gameplay is where the wildfire is at, but they rather deal with the trash bin caught on fire in the parking lot where there are no parked cars and is not significant enough to put any surrounding structures at risk of any danger.
It’s over Johnny. Two options are to play and accept it or stop till next year. I play a little bit but don’t care nearly as much as I have in years past.

You’d rather be bored than play a game that has a challenging hitting patch? Rough
More like broken on so many levels. Stop making excuses.

Bro delete the Gamer Tag ASAP! It's against the TOS unfortunately. But I agree with you 200%
F their ToS. They need to clean up their toxic online player base.

The amount of posts all reporting the same BS happening has overwhelmed the defenders and they are out of excuses.
We now even have real MLB players disgusted by the gameplay, great idea by the way SDS.
I think we deserve an apology, after all, we were right and your excuses proved to be nothing but fake news.
Except most of people’s complaints up until last week were about hitting, that’s all I’ve defended, fielding needs work, pitching needs tweaks, hitting is fine if it stays like this, still a heck of a lot better than anything we’ve had the last couple years
Hitting is far from fine
Well they never said much before about problems they were working on and now they have even more cover. It’s hard to blast them too hard when real life is pretty f***** up right now. My issue is that every year we have problems with the basic gameplay mechanics that by now should be way more polished than they are. It makes me question the level of competency the programmers working for SDS have.

The hitting seems right on point this year. The game is pretty good.

People keep saying, "how is this still happening". There has been no changes for months. The game is over. They aren't gonna mess with this game while working on 22. It is what it is.
And as I said before that’s a b.s. excuse. Not everyone buys the game every year so basically
SDS just gives those players a big F.U. and leaves them with a broken game? That’s no way to run a company. You arent gonna get any new cards, events, RS and rewards either. Thats the way yearly sports games go. You are free to purchase ever year, every other year or whatever you want to do, but you arent gonna get new stuff for more than the first 6-9 Months after release. Also in a couple years the game will be taken offline. All sports game companies do it. Nothing new.
I understand and agree from a content standpoint that they are done. But leaving people who decide not to buy the new shiny object a still broken one from last year is a bunch of garbage.

The gameplay changes amount to Randy Johnson in the game. That’s it!
Pretty much this. That is the SDS game plan every year. Hype the new shiny new cards and don’t attempt to fix the serious issues.
Don’t count on it. The hype machine is up and rolling and soon the sins of last years game will be soon forgotten by most. I’m holding out until I hear news from credible sources about how the game plays.
@chuckclc_psn said in Hurry up an preorder:
Because this game has been done for Months. Fix 22 leave 21 alone. No more effort is needed for this game.
Don’t buy that excuse at all. Not everyone buys the new game and might only purchase every other year because let’s face it, not much changes. So basically by using your logic, SDS is saying “screw you” to any of their player base who still wants to play last years game.
@halfbutt_psn said in Any Chance at Gameplay Changes in '22?:
I think it’s sad that we’re all about to accept the same product we have already paid for (numerous times in some cases) as an entirely new game.
Really, SDS should offer us new seasons as DLC or something. The game has barely changed in years.
They are lazy because they have no true competition. If another company was breathing down their neck’s with a quality baseball game, it would make them work just a little bit harder.
Who cares? I was 5 pitches into an event game today and it froze. This game is a joke at this point. The last two times I played it froze. The fact that the devs say nothing speaks volumes. Will not be buying the next one until the reviews are in.
I have barely touched this game in months but just hopped on to play an event game or two. I’m batting in the bottom of the first and sting one into the gap and the game freezes.
The silence from the devs in this game is sickening. They know how to appear when they push the new release and then disappear again. I will be waiting this year to see what people have to say before buying it that’s for sure.

@xelrojo44x_mlbts said in XSX (FreeSync) = H2H Competive Advantage?:
Apparently, XSX currently supports AMD FreeSync VRR with HDMI 2.1, however, the PS5 console does not quite yet support VRR (coming in 2022?).
While the MLBTS21 game itself is limited at 60fps on both next gen consoles, doesn't having VRR active on the XSX help to reduce potential framerate or input lag issues in some games due to periodic P2P latency? ...and if so, doesn't this give XSX users (w/ HDMI 2.1 and VRR active) a competitive advantage in online H2H games vs everyone else?
It seems to me, that having this VRR technology active in an online matchup would help the XSX user see pitches more clearly...in games that have latency due to a poor connection.
This is something id love a moderator to respond to. Why is there never clarity on this type of technical aspect of the game? I’d love to know stuff like this. Is there a competitive advantage to using a monitor? Is there a competitive advantage to using a wired connection vs wireless? Stuff like this would be cool for them to give us the details on instead of everyone just speculating.
They know the shiny new cards will distract most players and keep them for asking the hard questions. The dev team has always pretty much been MIA. You see them at the start of the year when the game is about to release and that’s about it.
