I'm guessing it's close to this year. First year on a new system they're going to be fixing glitches and working out the programming. I don't really think they'll add much
This.
Next year's big innovation is multi-platform. Nothing's getting rebuilt from scratch until 2022 at the earliest.

I wonder if they'll add cross play or not. I know Sony has resisted that in the past, wonder if they'll add ps4 vs Xbox or not since it's going multiplatform, I would think they would.

Somehow find out how this game could be playable online on TV, don't force us to buy pc monitor for console gaming

I expect it’ll be the best year of content we’ll ever see, followed by 8-10 patches in a 2 month period that create more problems than the game started with. Oh and probably some server disasters to start the year.
For what it’s worth, I’m only following forum advice though. Set the bar low and you can’t be disappointed. I really do hope they can knock it out of the park. 100%

Disaster. You think 20 was a glitchy mess online just wait.

Who cares about graphics??? This game is good because of the cards, the history and the extras. The game play sucks and sucks bad. All-Star Baseball '96 and '98 on the N64 were better than this [censored]. MVP Baseball '05 by EA was better than this. These games are 15-20 years older and they can't figure it out. LOL Are you kidding me? I'm hoping for the same extras which are great, but much improved game play damnit.

To have it available on PC.

You know when people compare game play they are usually doing it in h2h online play? Not vs CPU stuff like those games. Of course it was fun back then. but we have different stuff now.

That’s a TV problem, not SDS one. They can’t change the input lag on your tv. I bought an LG OLED, with HDMI 2.1, it’s near instantaneous and picture quality destroys any monitor.
-
I’ll be playing this on either my PC or my Series X next year though. Sony would be RIDICULOUS to pass up on cross play for this game. They will be the ONLY MLB and MLBPA fully licensed baseball SIM, multi platform. They would make a killing having DD crossplay across all devices. In fact, please put the game servers on MS Azure, pretty please.

Are you concerned at all about burn-in? Have you noticed any? I used to game on a plasma but never noticed any burn in or ghosting.

Not worried in the least. Have had LG OLED for years, starting with the E7P. There are settings and safeguards built into the set, and I use varied content too. If I’m gaming and I’m gonna pause or be away for a long while I’ll just pause the game and turn the tv off. Little things just to be smart about it, but very long gaming sessions for years on these tv’s and never a single even scare of burn in.

I still have an LG Plasma from 2010 and even being this old it has tech to prevent burn in. It alternates pixels or something. So I would imagine today's stuff is pretty rock solid.

I have new Samsung QLED, which should have good gaming mode, it's much better than my older TV, but still not comparable with PC monitor. My PS4 Is hardwired with good internet speed, there Is nothing I can do more. I would buy monitor, if The Show Is only game I play, but I refuse to play for example Ghost of Tsushima and other games on some small screen.
I live in midlle Europe, so maybe distance is other factor of lags, when you play someone overseas -
