I’m going to make a list of all the things I did to make it to World Series. Some may help you. Some may not. But the most important thing is that you know that I made it to World Series.
Anyway. If you do most of these things, I don’t see why you can’t be a World Series Champion Hero just like me.
Often times, when a server’s flux capacitor goes into retrograde, it will trigger an unhandled server expectation. Programmers should know this though, which is why it’s so frustrating. There are two simple fixes when this happens: 1: Reconstitute the narflap so that the jabberwock no longer garflumples. 2: Propitiate a haberdash every time the charcuterie board frittatas. It’s not that hard.
I think it’s just a Baby Ruth.

I could see some very minor things being tweaked, which will make a very little footprint on how the gameplay actually plays. Next patch is going to seal 20 for the rest of its cycle. That’s a little disconcerting. The pessimist in me fears the next patch will deal more with too much xp being rewarded in some game mode rather than anything to do with hitting or pitching. That's about what I expect to. We will get a line that says "improved pitcher acuraccy" and notice no change to boot. Beyond that, I don't think we see anything.

Maybe we’ll get more terms to label why our contact is bad: rolled over, out in front, cracked bat, closed eyes, limp wrists, dropped shoulder. The possibilities for this patch are endless.
I’ll accept a 98 for speed if every time he steals a bag, he lifts it over his head and refuses to give it back.

As I mentioned at the beginning, the most important thing I wanted people to take away from this was that I made it to World Series- a feat that I am in complete disbelief that it actually happened. It was honestly, just a string of very good luck. All the bad things that usually happen to people playing ranked, happened to my opponents. Having said that, I’m still just tickled pink that I made it. Congrats on making it and kudos for your honesty. Don't mind a flex when you admit it was one.

Thanks, man. It’s nice to be able share your success with people who actually know what you’re talking about. I tried to tell my coworkers but I think they just judged me for still playing video games at my age.
My hope is that this strategy starts to backfire. This is the only game I really want to play, but I absolutely hate it. It makes me miserable. I would consider myself an average to below average player. I would be much more likely to spend money on a game that gave me consistent and repeatable feedback on my input, rather than most of my outcomes just chalked up to chance. I feel as if there’s no point to having better cards. I would like Mantle, and I would be tempted to spend a little of my actual money to acquire him if I thought that for one second, he would make that much of an impact on the game. This game feels so off right now, and hopefully enough of the marginal players will start giving up on it like I am tempted to do. Then maybe they will reconsider the type of game they want to put out.

How does a well hit ball with 109 mph exit velocity become a routine fly ball? Anyone have an explanation for this? Launch angle was good. So the ball just hit a huge amount of resistance? The air was really humid that day? Windy?
At this point, nothing surprises me. If the giant gorilla from the Ready Player One movie started randomly showing up in the outfield to swat would be homeruns out of the sky, I probably wouldn’t bat an eye. There’s plenty of lag today for anybody who’s interested. Get it while it’s hot.
For The Show 20, I’ve bought a monitor, a tournament stick, gaming glasses, and I bought the rubber replacement joystick from an Atari 2600 that I have attached to the top of a kontrol freak. All this has made me maybe a fraction better. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to throw a sinker down the middle that I aimed up and in and lose on a walk off three run jack.

Are you saying your players need padded walls?
They are prone to self flagellation. Or is it self flatullation?
Hey, I don’t know much about stadium creator. Did SDS ever say why you can’t include the distances on the walls and why they don’t have padded walls as an option?
@lookattherhino said in Controller Inputs lagging on PS5:
The input lag is indeed better with Bluetooth but check the back of your pa5 controllers. Does the model or sn end with a letter or number?
I have one that ends in a number and one that ends in an A, which, I believe, is a newer iteration of the controller. They are both lagging via Bluetooth. What makes this strange is that I’ve had the same setup for years and this is the only time I’ve had this issue.
@hoboadam_psn said in Controller Inputs lagging on PS5:
I use a wired connection for my PS5. I have a good amount of Bluetooth traffic in my living room. Phones, watches, insulin pump, glucose monitoring transmitter etc. Regardless of monitor or TV, my input lag disappears when I'm plugged in.

It’s funny you mention that. I’ve always used Bluetooth because I read somewhere that the input lag is better through Bluetooth, but last night I connected using usb and the lag went away. I think my soundbar and wireless router have started causing more Bluetooth interference than normal.
So, I’m noticing that my inputs are lagging. I’m noticing it with my pci, with pinpoint (which makes for some odd color combinations) and even with the throw meter. Is anybody else noticing this? I’m getting the lag with both of my ps5 controllers. I tried some other games but didn’t notice. I will say that I tried the show 21 and it lagged the same way. Maybe the other games don’t require as much precision and the lagging isn’t as obvious. I guess both of my controllers could be malfunctioning at the same time, but it seems unlikely. Im even noticing in modes like conquest. I just really hate the thought of shipping away my controllers to get them repaired. Again. Thoughts? Is it the game or my controllers?

I have the GIGABYTE M27Q and when I log into the PS5, my monitor goes into 3840x2160 @60Hz with HDR on. This isn't real 4K but it is 4K UHD. When I enable 120Hz my monitor kicks down to 1920x1080 when the game starts. When I play at 60Hz, my resolution stays at 3840x2160. With all of that said, I really like my monitor for The Show and it looks way better than on my BenQ GL24060.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if that’s because you have to have hdmi 2.1 to get 4k at 120hz. Anyway, I think that’s the case. I’m not really sure what to do. 600 bucks would get me a monitor that does 4k at 120hz with an input lag of about 5 ms at that resolution and frequency. For 200 bucks, I could get a monitor that does 1080p at 120hz with about the same input lag. Or I could just keep my monitor that gives me about 10ms of input lag at 1080p at 60hz. I just don’t know if I want to pay hundreds of dollars to get 5ms better input lag.
Did anyone ever figure out if ps5 users were getting 120hz in head to head matchups regardless of what console their opponent was using?
@imdfc_psn said in Monitor Suggestions for PS5:
I believe 2.1 is required for 4k 120fps, but if you play on something like 1080p or 1440p, 2.0 should be fine. If you are doing 1440p, I'd look into it first rather than trust this random dude with a dog avatar though.
Thanks. So, my current monitor is a 1080p viewsonic that only has 1.4 hdmi inputs. I might actually consider just doing another 1080p monitor that has 2.0 hdmi just to get the 120hz. I’m torn because I only use the monitor for TheShow, and I’m a little reluctant to spend 600 or so just to play one game. Especially since I might be in the market for an OLED tv in the next couple years. What monitor do you use, and do you happen to know its specs?
Does anybody have any suggestions for monitors that work well with the PS5? If I understand correctly, they would need to be 4k with hdmi 2.1 inputs in order to get 4k at 120hz. The only two I’ve come across that aren’t over 1k are the Samsung Odyssey G7A and the Gigabyte M28U. Has anybody used either of those? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
