Market restriction permanent
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I miss the good old days when the market made sense and we could flip in confidence.
Right now I’m looking at LS Sam Huff. Why does he have several buy orders for 13 stubs each? He’s a common card for God’s sake!
-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL I flip spotlight diamond cards. I put in 15-20 buy orders, wait for about 10 mins or so and sell the ones that went through and cancel the others. My volume is not very high. Yes I can go fast on the app. But not anywhere in the realm of what a bot could do I imagine.
The response was very cookie cutter-
Your access to the Community Market via the Companion App and website has been restricted following a review of account activity that indicates non-standard marketplace usage. This restriction is permanent in MLB The Show 26.
Access to the Community Market on console remains available.
As a general reminder, the use of automated tools within any part of the game, Companion App, or website is not permitted.

Just thinking any bulk orders on the app could get you flagged as it’s too quick and easy to post which could get you snagged as a bot. I don’t agree with it but it’s the only way I can wrap my head around it. I’ve been focusing nearly all my flipping on the console in the limited time I do have.
-
@Ericulous1_XBL This is just my guess, but it was more than likely how quickly you were placing the orders and making changes to those orders that made it looks like automated tools were being used.
I still feel that it is the speed of the transactions being placed and or modified is what is tripping the software that they are using.
As TripleH stated, the safest way to flip is via the console, due to how slow it is to place the orders.
Just my opinion.

@Ericulous1_XBL Man, if you're telling the truth here, which I'm sure you are, that's really disappointing. I was super upset when I got restricted earlier in the year, and I was told that flipping is totally fine. That's how someone like me, who works 50-60 hour weeks and has a family, engages with the game and keeps up with the folks who can play 8-10 hours a day.
I do the same thing with the bulk orders. I would reply back and ask for proof that you had non-standard marketplace usage. They should be able to detail what is flagging you as a bot. I'm not technical enough to understand the process involved, but common sense leans toward thinking they'd be able to identify the difference.

this is what I suggested in another thread, that the timestamps on the transactions would be what triggers it
-
Any number of ways they could make the determination depending on what data they store long term so that they can be reviewed.
The obvious choice is # of Transactions, probably over a given time frame.
They could possibly track placed orders vs cancelled orders. We'll never know, but one thing I think it is safe to say is that if you get in bidding wars with bots trying to undercut each other then it is going to look like two bots sparring.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN
Ahh the good ol days when you could flip as much and as long as you wanted without ptsd of getting restrictedAnd without actual bots undercutting you.
-
Cheaters and Exploiters always make the situation worse for regular users.
-
@Dolenz_PSN Just look at the state CoD finds itself in right now. I saw that 5 years ago and remember going "I wonder how long it'll be before it hits sports gaming en masse"
-
@nhacia88_MLBTS this is my first year rly flipping so I don’t even know how much I would have made last year without 20 card limit.
-
@Ericulous1_XBL -- If you can DM me your ticket number, I can look into it for you.
-
@SDS_JoeK_PSN that’s awesome, I will send it to you now
-
@SDS_JoeK_PSN can you help me as well please, I have been incorrectly restricted.
Id really appreciate your help

I gotta give it up to @goozefn_psn for the advice for gold exchange packs. I exclusively do this now. It has cut my transactions down by two-thirds. I buy enough to get me to my daily stub goal. I set buy orders and don't touch them for 24 hours. I when I set my sell orders I let them sit for 24 hours then I adjust the price. Can't mistake me for bot doing that.
-
@DrBear100_PSN I have not tried this is it as effective as flipping?
-
It's more efficient. I am making more stubs now in less time it took me to flip bronze cards. Earlier on I earmed a temporary timeout for 12hrs doing bulk loads of bronzes. It's too perilous right now to do that kinda volume. It's also mind numbing. You just have to be in tuned to the silver and gold market. You need to have hard cutoffs when you buy silvers so you can maximize your profits.
-
Just eliminate the app, it should be console only if it gets rid of bots. Such a simple solution. By the way SDS your servers are [censored] E D, a complete disgrace after 3 months in 2026, same goes for your garbage developers. Other wise all good except for the cheaters and bots.
-
@yanksthebest_PSN let's be a bit more mature on these forums, please.

Like… what he heck even was that?
