I agree. It’s like people think SDS is going to reward them for sticking up for them. The reality is they took our money without properly testing the game.
I bought this game to enjoy all the components. if I bought a car with two missing wheels, it’s useless. The current state of fielding and pitching make this “car” not drivable..
Man with the way some people defend this game sometimes im starting think they do get rewarded or something. They act like quality control

The amount of posts all reporting the same BS happening has overwhelmed the defenders and they are out of excuses.
We now even have real MLB players disgusted by the gameplay, great idea by the way SDS.
I think we deserve an apology, after all, we were right and your excuses proved to be nothing but fake news.
Why do you care so much about other people’s opinions? You’ve got way too much invested in everybody else’s opinion and it’s sad, get a hobby. (Upvote before he reports me and I get banned again)
VERY well said.
It's a sad truth about The Show that the worst feature is so very often the Community Forum, not because of any software issues with it but the utter deluge of pollution posting, whining, demonstrating a lack of knowledge w/r/t baseball, etc. It's just ridiculous.
A while back, I suggested to SDS that a forum be created entitled 'Constructive Criticism & Discussion' and even offered to moderate it. I've heard from too many players that they refuse to participate in the forums because they have no desire to immerse themselves in the absurd bile of others. It's long, LONG past time for SDS to take the forum pollution seriously and do something about it.

Except most of people’s complaints up until last week were about hitting, that’s all I’ve defended, fielding needs work, pitching needs tweaks, hitting is fine if it stays like this, still a heck of a lot better than anything we’ve had the last couple years
It ALL needs work. Hitting is homerun derby. The game has the potential for hit variety but instead its feast or faminie.

I can't believe people are saying that hitting is fine. I guess by comparison to fielding and pitching it's a godsend but it's still not good. Have any of you ever replayed pitches you pull really foul? 9 out of 10 times when I replay it because it doesn't look right the replay is way different then the swing feedback on the screen. The Swing feedback says that I was early but the replay looks like the ball should have gone up the middle or the alleys, judging from the point of contact. It is way off!!! And don't even get me started on squaring up the ball and getting good/good or somehow hitting a ground ball of a pitch above the strikezone! I have never seen a MLB player hit a ground ball off of a 95+ mph fastball above the strike zone!

Dudes big mad on here all the time. We all know there is problems. Whining and complaining gets nothing done. Send your bug reports. Screen shots, threads. "this game sucks", doesn't solve anything.
-
Honestly pitching and fielding aren’t terrible.
It’s just fielding to me. I would honest to god have around 5 more wins if it weren’t for my defenders not being able to catch routine pop flys.

Even if you were right, which you aren’t, the use of “fake news” prohibits you from getting an apology for anything or anyone forever. And the expression doesn’t even begin to apply in this context.

I am still dumbfounded that there are people with 95-10 records. I will never call myself elite but they are playing a different game. When people are that much better than everyone else (Reggie Stocker cough, cough), there is always an underlying issue.
People can't have it both ways. You can't say that there is a problem when a player is 95-10 and also say that they game caters to casuals and SDS has ruined the skill gap. The 95-10 record is not the result of someone getting lucky over and over again. It is a skilled player who is really good.
That said, there are problems that need to be fixed without a doubt.

All of this lol. I was gonna upload some pics and video of just what you're talking about but at this point its just whatever people gonna defend. So many balls ive hit and replayed, looked like it should of went somewhere else off the bat instead it kinda warps straight to a infielder. I get more double plays on mid to high good/good then anything else

I’m in the same boat as skepple here. Without a doubt the pitching and defense need some work, but hitting is pretty darn good for me. People complaining about hitting on HOF difficulty just aren’t that good.
I’m not elite, but I can still place the pci frequently on HOF and receive really good feedback for my input. The people who claim they’re getting good/okays on perfect placement frequently are full of

Pitching is petty much the same as last year. They didnt really improve on the issues we were having. Hitting is better than last year, and thats not debated. Fielding is the only real issue right now as far as gameplay. And that wasnt so bad at first. Fielding has just become bad in recent weeks, like with each new patch. So I am not sure what you want people to defend?

This is true. Hitting is really solid right now. Pitching is even good enough. If they just fix the flyballs the game would be really strong.

You're going to rip that 50 bundle, enjoy your gold, and still have a game to complain about when it's all said and done.
