Stop it. You're 38-28 with a batting average of .248
I hate to be that guy, but come on man.

Stop leading off and I'll stop stepping off. The game already gives you one step by default.
Well, nobody asked for it, but here's a boring read on how I feel about the game (so far)
The TL;DR - it isn't and wasn't ready to be released. The beta played better than the current version of this game does.
Hitting: hitting FEELS much different than 19, but the outcomes of batted balls and swing feedback aren't. There are narrower timing windows, which helps increase the skill gap, which is a good thing in theory, but isn't implemented well in this game. Pitch speeds are all over the map. Timing windows don't make a lot of sense game to game and even swing to swing. It makes self assessing and adjusting needlessly difficult and frustrating, because many times, you don't have a clear understanding of what you should be doing differently.
Pitching: not fun. Pitching is normally my strength, but not this year. Pitcher attributes matter more this year, except when they don't. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to put a curve in the dirt and it's gotten crushed, even with high control pitchers. Losing borderline pitches to balls means you have to bite off more strike zone, which, in conjunction with the lack of command of pitches, means it gets hit a long way. Stamina is broken. Relievers are required to face 3 batters but are drained by the 2nd batter, resulting in larger PCIs and loss of confidence, which, in turn results in loss of effective pitching.
Fielding: not fun. Beyond broken. The faster meter was a nice touch, but I can't tell you how many times gold and diamond rated fielders have made costly errors at key moments, costing me runs and games. Or there's been a stupidly lax animation where a normal human would have some semblance of urgency. This isn't a secret by now, but fielding is by far the biggest issue in this game right now imo.
Other stuff: game breaking boundary rules like ground rule home runs and runners advancing several bases on passed balls. Lag in online play can be horrible. Etc.
All in all, I feel like a lot of this game's outcomes are out of my hands. I feel like either good luck or bad luck matters more than skill. I feel like this game wasn't ready to be released. Yes, there's a global shutdown and it's likely more difficult than ever to fix broken software. Usually, this is my main game. But with how.... clunky this game is right now, I'm not having much fun and have been spending more of my free time not playing this game than I ever thought.
Get his pitch count up so your opponent can bring Newhouser in from the pen.
The time has come to revisit how secondary position penalties are assessed in DD.
Its 2020 and there are a lot of players who play multiple positions, and do it exceptionally well.
For example, Cody Bellinger is currently a RF in game, but takes a secondary position penalty if you move him to CF or 1B.
# of Plate Appearances for Bellinger at each position in 2020:
CF: 1350
1B: 593
RF:........ 4
Furthermore, Cody Bellinger is an exceptional defender at all of his eligible positions according to baseball savant, so the concept of assessing a secondary position penalty is arbitrary.
Kiké Hernandez, Austin Barnes, Max Muncy, Chris Taylor, Adam Duvall, Austin Riley, and basically the entire Rays roster is in the same boat. And that's not even thinking about it, those are just from the teams that are playing today.
TL;DR - secondary position penalties should only apply if the player in question is actually a worse fielder at their secondary position(s).
Eh, that toxicity is everywhere. It's a part of everyone having a megaphone in the digital age, unfortunately.
.... Why would you do that to yourself.
I just put 250,000 quarters in a slot machine and I'm still not a millionaire.
Stoked to play with you all this year!
Making prestige stats online only is one of the most poorly thought out decisions of the year.
Yeah, they shouldn't have nerfed hitting lol that was the bright spot of the game. They should have left hitting alone and fixed pitching and fielding.

I agree, this forum is sad. SDS does an awful job of managing culture here.
I will give them credit here! They don't go commie or appease commies like you. At least they let people vent. Move to a country where you agree with their censorship if you don't like what you get here.
Truly, this is one of the best games they have done. It's the best game on the market right now. That doesn't mean it doesn't need a few tweaks, though.
jeez calm down, Tony La Russa Walter Sobchak
They haven't been mentioned yet, but the all Mariners squad is pretty stacked
You can get a perfectly solid BenQ Zowie for under $100. I paid $40 USD for mine pre-owned two years ago

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well!
I built a themed team builder that's free for anyone to use!
Using our pals over at ShowZone's True Overall data, this squad builder will automatically generate for you the current best lineup, bench, rotation, and bullpen by True Overall!
Currently, you can make a themed team for all 30 MLB teams, all 6 divisions, every card series, you can make a speed team, an old guys team, a young guys team, a team for people born in any country, any state, all kinds of rad stuff. As long as there are enough cards to fill out the squad, you can do it!
Here's an example of a "born in California" team I just auto generated:
Hope you all enjoy!
Can i use it on Google chrome? Just use the discord website?
It's strictly a discord only thing, but you're certainly more than welcome to join and put it to work!

I wanted to do a born in Maryland theme team but it looks like I would barely be able to field a team. I might just stick to an O’s theme team.
The O's theme team is sneaky stacked

There's this myth that in order for one game mode to improve, another needs to be sacrificed and it's really pitted people against each other from time to time on here over the years.
There's zero reason why we can't expect effort and attention be paid to RTTS, DD, and Franchise congruently.
People wanting more out of their favorite mode or having questions shouldn't offend anyone.
It would be awesome if links to cards opened within the app rather than via a default web browser. Most apps that have this functionality need it configured on the back end to natively open (or ask to open) links within the app and it'd be a nice change.
For clarity:
Currently, if you're on mobile, have the app dowloaded and accessible, and click on a link to a player's card, it'll route you through Chrome or Safari or whatever the default browser is.
I've always used normal swing. Contact swing was so OP the first half of this year, and then they nerfed it. The only way I've personally utilized contact swings are to put the ball in play with a runner on 3rd or the pitcher hitting or something like that.
