Scott Rolen

Here are his attributes. Much better than I expected and leaves little room for an eventual 99 Cardinals version when he had better stats across the board.
LOL, somebody on Twitter/X called this card "Mid"

Is it an exciting collection reward name wise? No. But hard to argue with a 99 and those stats for the first big collection.

So Rolen was the one everyone was talking in the chat.....was this the same chat I saw....and both in a program and collection reward......what exactly have they been eating and drinking.....why either or even both? Totally mind blowing
The 87 is a Reds card, the 99 is Phillies. That's why both.

@GooseOnEm_PSN Sure, but now what do you do with Headley? DH?

I’ll worry about that when I get Headley
I still need Ohtani and Tatis..
-
@GooseOnEm_PSN I’d bet that people who don’t have Headley won’t have Rolen for a while either though.
-
Rolen is not the best name but they really did him right with those attributes. You know he was going to have great fielding (that is what I remember him for) but those hitting attributes are nice. They also gave him some speed which I never really thought he had atleast when he was with the Cardinals. I will hold off futher judgement until I see what we need for the collection. Infield is actually pretty good this year, having trouble getting my quartet of switch hitters in the lineup as is (Jram, Marte, Lindor and DeLaCruz not to mention DeVries), so I might not be in a hurry to pick him up anyway.
-
@GooseOnEm_PSN Ya we hate hall of fame third baseman that was (arguably) the best to field his position in the game. Huge L sds...we could have had Adonis Garcia or Rio Ruiz!
-
Honestly, I'm stoked for Rolen. Grew up watching him. I'll take him over Arenado or Machado any day of the week. (Personal Preference of Course)
-
@GoozeFn_PSN although it’s a Flashbacks and Legends collection, so LS may not be required. But they should demand the Reds, Cards, Jays and Phillies collections just for fun.
And sadness.
-
@DFC_MLBTS at least you don’t have a wife or kids anymore, so not a total loss
-
Just looked ats what needed an all the collections were increased and pretty significantly so I am awaiting the complaints coming in on how hard it will be to do
-
I underestimated how many cards I needed today. They make it pretty hard to get this year. Diamonds odds have been terrible for me and the profit margins for flipping have been pretty tight to say the least.
-
He's shown as a 97 on their news page, but 99 on twitter. I assume he's a 99, but I don't care I guess
-
I guess I should be HAPPY they made the large collection reward undesirable. Because now I can just complete the collection naturally and slowly.
That's a hard thing for me to do, but it's absurd how much they are asking for a subpar player (based on my experience so far with the Rolen Moments).
-
bottomline, its about us the players buying stubs. nothing more. They have flooded the market with low level cards that players usually flip for stubs. They make the higher diamonds almost unattainable without spending weeks saving stubs from low level cards. SDS manipulates the market. If you want the card now, you'll have to buy stubs. You can wait and get him later and save money. Its a joke and has become more and more undesirable. They'll have a flash sale for us to spend more stubs, or buy stubs for chances at cards we need. They do it during the day when most of us are at work. I'm not going to NOT play anymore. I'm not spending a dime. I'll just enjoy what i have.
-
Yeah it’s either take your approach or just stepping away for a while. At this point I really am feeling apathetic and wanting to just walk away. I love baseball but the game is not very rewarding or fun considering the time/stub commitment being asked.
-
The market doesn't bother me as much as others cause it's always tight at the beginning, it is starting to get to me though, what is getting to me is,can't listen to those same stories over and over again so I turned off the announcers, and because of the crowd with all the "OH NO" ,"CMON", "YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" I have had to turn down the crowd noise so low you can barely hear it, the quiet stadium is very unenjoyable to play in so I also am getting to the point where this might get shelved, shame cause I am really liking the game so far.

@PAinPA_PSN I hear you. I've loved playing the show for the past 15 years. Never putting more than purchase price into the game. This year it feels completely different. With games like Oblivion, Borderlands 4, and then GTA6, it might be a short year for me. Not going away forever just getting some breathing room. Plus 3 boys all in baseball, so i'll be all over the place with that and work .
