Probably would be a Yankee card. The Tigers got Baez yesterday for some reason.
Could be Mets though.

Looks like you are Correct

Yay! Thank God the Yankees got a 99 card. They were really hurting for top cards.
I'm sure @Dolenz_PSN knows but it seems like there are 15-20 99 Yankees just THIS SEASON.

I know!! This totally sucks!! Now im gonna have to decide to leave off my all Yankees team. Mantle, Judge, Soto, Stanton, Bernie and now Granderson? This is too much now. I could DH him but do i really wanna take Babe Ruth out of my lineup? I could bench him but then who do i get rid of? Gehrig? Nah. Maybe I'll just ditch the Mattingly captain card. These guys attributes are all stacked anyway.

Just did a count.. It's 24 (Grandy is 25)
I will reiterate that I am not opposed to the Yankees having the most cards, which they do every year. Their history and the fact that they are a very popular team warrants it. My problem has always been the ratios, just how many more they get than everyone else.

24 is absurd though. And I still say most of it is based on ancient history.
They haven't been a top team in 15 years. To counteract the ratio advantage like you mentioned, SDS needs to sign more Legends. And recent Legends.
I can't tell you how many mid-level Red Sox stars they could certainly sign and probably cheap.
I'm sure your Cardinals are similar.

They haven’t been a top team in 15 years. I don’t know about that, they are playing in the world series, you could argue they aren’t the top team , but they are definitely one of them.

We get it. You're not a fan. But this is also an absurd statement. Just because they haven't won the world series (something only 1 team can do every year), does not mean they aren't a "top team " (wtf does that even mean?)
5 division titles, 6 wild card berths and 6 ALCS appearances in 15 seasons is a top team resume.

And I'm old enough to remember when Yankee fans wouldn't even acknowledge any of those so-called accomplishments. I live in a place that has tons of Yankee fans (and Sox fans) so I know how most of them think:
If they didn't win a ring, it was a worthless season.
I see the goal posts have been moved now. Yay division titles!
And yeah that resume you listed would make most franchises happy. But these are the almighty Yankees so yes, they have fallen well short of expectations the last quarter century.
-
The game could use about 50-75 new mid-level Legends to add some depth.
-
Is there going to be more cards for a Halloween collection? (You’ll think?) Adding on from the Cruz one? It would be nice to see more good RPs you know.

I think this season has been pretty good for relievers, much better than the prior two

Yeah it has nothing to do with expectations. It was a direct response to your asinine comment that they arent a "top team" when their off years are still better than 90% of the teams in baseball.
-
Ok fine. I should have just said they have struggled enough this century to not warrant all of the top cards they get.
They may still be a top-ish team but don't deserve the dominant treatment from SDS they might have deserved 25 years ago.

Are you saying they should just release cards from the last 20 years or something? Im not understanding the point of this. Are you implying that they should get rid of Mantle, Gehrig, Ruth, Mattingly, Guidry and Ford? Or they should get rid of the newer legends like Jeter, Rivera, Posada, Bernie, Paul O'neill, Soriano, etc?
The reality you're ignoring is that when you're a "top team" for a good part of a century, you have top players, Hall of Famers, all stars, etc. -
Yeah, I don't think having headliners like Ryan Ludwick, Joe Torre and Lars Nootbaar really does Cardinals history any justice. So many more legend and Cardinal legends they could use, not even talking HOFers
