Thoughts on a WWE/MLB crossover?
-
They can do a superstar for every team, and in return, in WWE SuperCard could have a player for every team in the game (10 for each of the top three tiers). Could do it around the All Star Break next season.
-
Dumbest idea ever.
-
God no. We dont need celebrities or monsters or cartoon characters in the game. We need solid gameplay, an abundance of content and regular updates.
-
Not in the game , I wouldn't mind stadium creator props , but in game no .
-
Maybe we can do a MLB/My Little Pony crossover.
-
I think there could be crossovers for players who have done the crossover ie Deion Sanders or Michael Jordon but nothing so silly like WWE.
I don't share the same view as some who hate the idea of cartoonish arcade modes. I think if an arcade mode SEPARATE from normal modes with goofy interactions or Slugfest like mechanics would be hilarious and entertaining but that's not likely to happen
WWE would be completely out of left field to combine though......like it makes more sense for actual pro sports like football or basketball crossovers but not WWE. That's a bit silly.

The obvious crossover idea is colleges
LSU (Bregman, Nola, Skenes, Crews)
USC (Randy, McGwire, Seaver, Prior)
Vandy (Price, Reynolds, Rocker, Swanson)
Arkansas (Benintendi, McCann, Smyly)
Miss St (Clark, Palmeiro, Renfroe, Woodruff)Trouble would be the rights to the schools.

Rude that you put rocker and not Leiter.

Bad idea.
-
Now the idea is out in the wild. Probably show up next year. I do like the college idea though
-
@bpwildbill11_PSN I got you hold up… NO
-
Sure why not. Didn't they have monsters in Madden one year? idgaf.
-
@bpwildbill11_PSN honest question, why exactly WWE? Is there some natural connection that I’m missing, or just that you personally enjoy both?
-
You saw the reaction to MLB players playing out of position. Imagine the reaction to Macho Man Randy Savage pinch hitting and snapping into a slim jim for a walk off.

I mean .......you make a great argument to have this merge.

He also played OF/C before an injury took him out

@MatrixTN_PSN
Ok BUT he actually played so technically regardless of his wrestling career you could argue for him being a legend though I don't think he had outstanding stats to be considered legend status.
Regardless, fair point -
@chekmate_13_PSN I do enjoy both, and also they've had some superstars throw out first pitches, and maybe even a few did play in high school or college. Though trust me, some things in SuperCard have been way more out of left field than my idea of curiosity.

MLB does not need to associate itself with an entertainment industry that engages in fixed contractual outcomes that are staged events intended to mimic athletic contests. There have been some former professional baseball players who became wrestlers, there are not enough of them to lend any credible program in that regard either.
Beyond treating individual WWE celebrities like MLB would any noteworthy celebrity, there really isn't any benefit to MLB for doing anything else.

Cosmic baseball? Looks cool at least, if you haven't seen it check it out
