Lets see if we get any actual card reveals today.
We just did... I'm going to sit back and watch the comments fly. They are on Twitter for sure.
I can't wait to hit tanks with Mariano and Randy.
Welp, it has happened. If they can't play their original positions, without losing attribute points.m, these are nothing but collection fodder and the first 6 weeks will be nothing but Core cards.
-
This is an absolute embarrassment. Wow.
-
Sets/seasons + way too small legends roster = dumb **** like this. Sure it's the 3rd card for some of these guys but since it's OOP it doesn't really count, right?
-
@Sarge1387_PSN Not looking forward to this at ALL
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS i just wanted to get through season 2 and then its full football season for me. I thought i might come back from time to time to play season 3, but nope.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN a story behind it, ok this makes way more sense than what they are doing.
-
I guess the only good news of this is they are only 95 cards, so not end game meta type cards so will be phased out fairly quickly but when that's the GOOD news for a new drop you have done something wrong

It make to much sense and is very creative so SDS would have fired anyone who presented that idea
-
@Sarge1387_PSN I don’t hate the out of position idea, but yours is better.
-
The NL TA cards have been posted
-
@Cubsfan217_XBL I think Team Affinity might just be a bad way to do this. Some of them make sense, like Cronenworth as a pitcher because he was a 2 way player at the professional level. Not sure if they are all warranted, so making one for every team might not have been the best idea.

There could have been a clever way to do this, as I pointed out earlier.
This is just dumb.
Although they did do us a favor by calling it the Out of Position series. We can now call them OOPs.
I used to work at school district where teachers were referred to the Office of Professional Standards if you broke a rule and were going to face discipline. So they liked to say that if you make an "oopsy" then you'll be referred to "OOPS."

Here are the NL Cards. I believe Masyn Winn was a two way player before he was drafted. With his huge arm (100 MPH throws from SS) I would hope he has an outlier FB.
-
I want to see the cornerstone captains!
-
Not as egregious as the AL (Nola, Sabathia, deGrom, Jansen, Dontrelle, Gallen shown batting) and the out-of-positions at least make sense (Harper, Jansen, Skenes being former catchers).
But it's still dumb overall.

Hey, what do you know. ANOTHER (4th) Paul Skenes. This time though he's Oops and a 95.
But yet only one Mantle and one Cobb.

Oh i agree, bad idea . Almost worth taking 6 weeks off the game. Will see what else they do here bu i dunno

Wth, they bring Jake as a DH

At least DeGrom was a shortstop in college. Bryce played catcher in Jr. college. Any of these other cards even remotely resemble a position they played at one time? I get that it's "OOP", but wondering if any of you know if these guys actually played their new assigned position...
Oh - and looks like Skenes played catcher in high school @SaveFarris_PSN
CC played football in high school, so he used to hit other players. DH makes sense.
Blackmon pitched in college, but looks like he was a starter.
Jansen was signed by the Dodgers as a catcher.
Maysn pitched in high school.
OK - that's enough Wikipedia for the afternoon.
