SDS I am just curious is Johan Santana one of the greatest HOF Pitchers Ever is he going to get a 99 overall card or is he just going to be forgotten ??? A few others I’d like to Mention is Mickey Mantle going to get a 99 overall card???? What about Randy Johnson ??? Justin Verlander ???

Not really wanting to start anything, but I know I will... but I will never understand why people think Schwarber ever deserves a 99. I mean let's be serious here....sure he can hit 35-45 hrs, but outside of that he hits near the mendoza line, strikes out 200+ times a year, is at best an average fielder with an average arm and has average speed....
oh and ask me how many of my Jay's have 99's? But I'm not on here complaining and demanding my teams players should all be given 99's

Well I do know they printed multiple versions of Johnson in 23 and he has a 99 from Set 4 thats a pretty solid card. You would assume they print him again on 24. It is possible we get Santana later as well. Hopefully. More cards/players is always better.

Nothing wrong with being a Santana fan, but you do realize "one of the greatest HOF pitchers ever" should probably be higher than #289 on the WAR Career list.

I almost replied to him but then I thought that they have to be trolling. It's almost a meme at this point that someone will complain that SDS hates the Phillies and more specifically Harper.

I thought about leaving it too, and I don't care what or why he is doing,unnecessarily bringing philly into it crosses a line ,so I had to redress.

This year Legends have been virtually ignored in favor of more flashbacks of the same guys. So many current players have 2, 3 or even 4 cards, while many Lehends still have 1 mid card out there since season 1.
Nothing all year has changed, in my opinion this is still easily the worst year I've played DD.

Can we address the reality that people articulate in present day which often ignore facts, and realize that Santana is NOT in the Hall of Fame?
He was a great pitcher, but didn’t even come close in the slightest to enshrinement.

The season 2 99 TA hasnt even dropped yet. We still have season 3 and season 4 content as well..

Well said sir. , also doesn’t help that he’s not in the HOF hahaha. Hard to be one of the best HOF pitchers ever when one isn’t even in The HOF. Just goes to show the OP doesn’t really know baseball, just is a Johan mark. And I liked Johan a lot too. But that is like saying the tree in front of my house is the tallest tree in the world

Very solid career with a couple absolutely dominant seasons, but he's not in the HOF...

Considering the era he had to pitch in, I thought he'd have a solid case. But he was off the ballot after 1 year.
I'd say he is the Dale Murphy of Pitching. Dominate 4 year stretch just not enough for voters.

@SaveFarris_PSN, understand your point, but to not consider Santana better than those on your list because of career WAR stats is a bit harsh, if not misguided.
Injuries ended his career far too soon, so he didn't get much of a chance to accumulate WAR stats. His 45.6 did edge out Addie Joss's 33.9, though, and Joss (with far better stats but even less time to accumulate WAR stats before dying from meningitis) is in the HOF.
Johan's 2004 season alone should net him that 99, OP's hyperbole aside.
