Do I think the steamers have an ear with SDS of course they do be silly to think they don't
Do I think SDS makes.changes based on what they say no the no sellable rewards is proof of that streamers want all the rewards, for them to hold value and also get bonus in this case that's what they were asking for was more stubs for making WS.
I suspect that SDS is looking at alot of back round data to guide decisions, I also do feel like with the sets and season SDS is experimenting with different ideas as the season moves along since this was a big change.
I know in some case the knee [censored] reaction is to blame the streamers I'm guilty of it my self but in this case I don't beleive this was because of their voice
-
I think they are trying to see if the non sell works, gather data and if it doesn’t they switch it back, either way, SDS will make the cards available at some point by the end of the year, they always do
-
Most likely patches. They are needed to fix certain little things but always mess other stuff up. Plus I also notice the game releases playing pretty great every year. Then slowly degrades. That way they can improve on it next year.
It is just the way these yearly games go. If they launched a good product and made it better as the year goes, they would have nothing to pitch for the game the following year.
Sad but true.

guys - legit question please for whoever can answer - what qualifies truly as an influencer? what's the sub number here that people can actually say "influencer" ?
for example CEO is minimum 200-500 employees - otherwise the correct term is just President - certain old formalities still remain - i am curious what the benchmark is for someone to actually think they "influence" anything

It's a lose term these days, and I think there needs to be more of separation between influencer and content creator.
To me the line is simple does a company give you something to push in return. If you partnered with that company to push the product you are influencing someone's view or prospective on a product or service. If you are partnered with a company then you likely have a set thing to say or do or a way to go about it. The likely hood is in this case of you don't follow what the company says or how you go about carrying yourself they will end the relationship because they don't like your influence.
A content creator is just someone who makes video for something they like and people watch cause they want content but aren't partnered with a company. They may influence their audience to make a purchase but they don't actually have a horse in the race so there is no real gain to be made if someone purchases a product or service they highlight.
Influence = partnership and financial gain
Content creator = sharing a passion with others.

Some are annoying.
However, I enjoyed watching channels form Cardinalbird5 (retired), MLB the Show Tips (retired), and CBREV (best tier list).
Currently, Scann, Gomesdalegend, UHeynaBoutIt, and Moviegamer are the ones that I try to check out. Gomes is entertaining and makes me laugh, which I try to check out during lunch on Fridays, after a stressful week at work.

I want to think they don’t have much impact on SDS, but there have been multiple times over the past few years that one or more than one had some agendas and shortly after changes happened. l am not really saying they should or shouldn’t have happened, but the times I have heard SDS say “community feedback” it really seemed to line up more with the streamers rather than this community or the Reddit community. I feel like many times in my life that the louder voices or bigger platforms seem to often impact things more than quieter voices or smaller platforms.
post hoc ergo propter hoc

Congrats on taking a rhetoric course! Gold star!
Are you pointing this out as a fallacy, or claiming that the connection is in fact causal?
Of just flexing?

Think of it like "p_ornstar"; very few are actual stars. It's just applied to everyone in the profession.

I thought that may have been the case. During a stream, I remember noticing how much one of the SDS creator's voice sounded like the one from the channel. Thanks for clarifying.

2023 is obviously a "Throw everything at the wall & see what sticks" type of year. After basically having the same structure for 2019-2022, they're putting out all their ideas this year. If it works, great! If not, enjoy it because it won't be coming back for 2024 & beyond.

Why can't I point out the fallacy AND flex at the same time?
Would you have preferred I wrote "after, therefore because of" instead of Latin? Can't tell what you're quibbling about

A lot of the comments recently have accused YouTube broadcasters of having a great deal of influence on SDS.
I don't watch any of them-- way too annoying.
How many of you honestly think this is happening?
I've been saying for weeks now that the game at launch was the most realistic baseball video game I ever played.
Then within 2 weeks it became The Show '22 2.0-- diving infielders making ridiculous plays, gravity defying fly balls, and every outfielder playing like Willie Mays.
Do the "influencers" really have that much influence, or did the patches take the game backwards?
I know one thing. I'm loading up on power.
Gonna be another year of long, lazy fly balls...I dont know why people watch other people play games to begin with. The shouldnt have any influence with the game to begin with. If SDS was smart, their feedback would come from their own forum. There is alot of positive things that people post and I would take advice from the people here rather then the dopes spinning wheels and ruining the game to cater to themselves.

lol noted sir
like i always wonder if some guy playing this game on youtube or twitch has like under 2K subscribers and thinks he is a big deal - absolute nobodies..... thinking that X amount of subs means anything - there must be a number when it starts to be an actual business but what is that number is the question

I will watch various streamers/Youtubers from time to time as I am a sucker for a good tier list, and I have a couple of favorites I watch for the comedy aspect. I just assume if they have a Coach doll or some other swag from SDS in view they are Influencers and if not they are content creators.
Probably not very accurate, but then again neither are my pitches.
-
I’d say very little because almost none of them ask for what SDS does. Don’t just follow the baseless claims of blaming other people you’ve never listened. You think any content creator was hoping for the penguin slide? Or if they complain mini seasons would be fixed? The Devs are just extra medium at best.

Because they find it entertaining? I am sure that there are plenty of things other people do for entertainment that myself and others can't figure out why.
I am sure there are shows you watch or games you play because you enjoy them that others would say "I don't know why they do that."

Onlyfans content creators or influencers???

Who in their right minds has the capacity or time to watch somebody play this game on YouTube… what is this world coming to..
